£800 for a guided trip around Morzine sounds steep to me

TA is Les Arcs not Morzine

    Dryden79,

I have just read your post again, the bit about being a rubbish dad etc etc no money, no food it sounds a terrible situation!

My advice would be not to worry about getting money out of the ex, but to get yourself sorted out with a regular income so you can look after your daughter, feed, clothe and house her as she is the most important thing right now… Isn’t she? I’m speaking from experience but this money that is owed to will consume you and take over your life so I would forget about it for the minute and just concentrate on looking after your daughter and getting yourself settled.

What would be easier is just to right it off, forget about it and move on! Sorry for being blunt but i have been where you are twice now and it does take over your life!

    Good luck

If your daughter’s primary residence is with her mother, you’ve got pretty much no chance of forcing her to sell the house just to give you a lump of the equity.

Pretty much the same situation as I’m in now! However the house/mortgage is on joint names and as someone said above I’ve only got about 8k of interest in the property so is it really worth it? What’s worth more to me is my name coming off the mortgage than 8k as at the minute I’m stuck in rented accommodation!

My sympathies are with you fella it is very frustrating!

There’s a lot of excellent hardware coming out of China now running Ice Cream Sandwich very well.

It can be the best hardware in the world but hardware doesn’t sell tablets!

iPad has the best, most apps, very easy to use, intuitive interface and just works, no the hardware may not be the best but it sells in big numbers.

Remember the Betamax vs VHS debate….. Betamax had the better hardware, but the software sold VHS

I couldn’t make it yesterday due to family commitments, there has been a little negativity I think but I think Steve Peat has done a great job doing this and I hope to compete in the next one, will it be later in the year? Or will I have to waiti until next year. The standard of sponsors was very good as well.

Is anyone able to ride the course? Looking at trying it out one day in the week when it’s dried out a bit?

Obviously the key for the CCDB is to have it set up properly for you, your riding and the suspension set up on your bike!

    SC recommend 15-20mm sag, on a 63mm stroke shock that’s 24-34%
Is it though? As I always thought sag was set for wheel travel, not shock compression – as the shock compression isn’t linear to wheel travel, you might find that (as an example) 25% of wheel travel ‘uses’ 40% of shock compression…..

Yes it is as SC say so in the user guide

    Neil,

How much do you weigh? It seems SC spec all there shock for low compression/rebound tune, if your a big guy like me then it’s gonna feel rubbish. I’ve got an app Butcher I’m 15 stone and have exactly the same problem as you soo need to get a decent tune before I think about a coil shock. However I have put a spacer in my HV air can but not ridden it yer so gonna see how that feels first then I will report back.

The drivers insurance co. wont like that!

Of course they won’t, they won’t want to pay out, but now they will have to now he’s admitted guilt

Off topic, but how are you liking the Butcher? He are you getting on with rear shock? I’m thinking of a tune as I’m not getting full travel with the recommend sag

Surely coudnt you get the bearings replaced under the lifetime warranty, any special tools needed?

    SBrock

Owen, I’ve got a Butcher too, just over a year old it does get used frequently in the Peaks and is always cleaned with a garden hose, so far there is no play yet, but how did you know your bearings were gone, I thought SC warrantied the bearings for life?

there are plenty of “unskilled” jobs in the UK that pay £45k once unsociable hours, shift premium, overtime etc are added on.
apart from bankers or hedge fund managers would you care to name some?

Yes Kimberly Clark, I work for them in an unskilled manufacturing position, last year I earnt 42k but I do work nights and weekends and that includes average 4 x 12 hrs of overtime each month.

I got a Fox rc4 with a Ti spring and some 36 van Rc2 forks on my Nomad and it rides amazing. Mine comes in around 32lbs and climbs really well for what effectively is a mine dh bike.

Crikey that is light would be interested to see that build list? Seems very light!
