I have looked around a lot of places, and there is some nice quality houses out there. As for letting agents….yes they are scum they charge anything from £70-£270 for admin/credit checks….WTF!!!

Then ask for 6-8 weeks rent in deposit…WTF

Found a really nice landlord, she rents me a lovely house, is very honest & helpful. I would never rent through a letting agent now!

And I agree it is best to keep on the good side of my ex. I am going to let things calm down for a bit.

Thank you everyone. I had my daughter yesterday for 5 hours and she is an absolute pleasure – I love her dearly, when I took her back to the ex I could of cried. I know Im not the only one going through this but it just pains me that she is in the house that i worked by arse off to get. She has 3 other kids to a previous though and I have had legal advice and she can buy me out. Only thing is with the recession Im gonna take a big hit on my equity – do I just take it? or hold out for more?

If your LBS is a Santa Cruz dealer then if he is a decent dealer he will get Jungle to send a demo bike to the shop for your to test ride. If LBS isn’t really interested in doing that for you then I would not be spending my money there.

Leisure Lakes @Nottingham got me a demo SC butcher for a day (I ended up with it for 3 days) they charged me £50 but they took it off the frame price when I ordered it. Great Service as well as I bought the frame on 0%….you can’t go wrong!

Carp Angler here (well was) but it destroyed my marriage as it got very addictive and preferred to spend spend most night on the bank in my bivvy rather than the comfort of the marital bed. Ironically when I left her I sold all my gear and got into mountain biking. Fishing was too time consuming, with mountain biking you can get a quick fix in a few hours instead of hours/days on the bank waiting for carp.

Saying that I would still give it a go if money/time were no object!

only last week I got a Single Ply Wire Bead High Roller seated on a Flow Rim with stans tape…..left it up at 40 psi for an hour, broke the bead on one side put some sealant in….guess what I could not get the tyre seated again….that well did my head in!

Gonna try again this week when i get 3 hours to spare LOL

I know it works cos got my DT5.1 ghettoed last year no problem!

sorry a bit off topic but I have just got some Flow, Yellow rim tape and Valves…Im having a bit of a mare getting them up. I am using maxxis tyres with plenty of soapy water. I am at my wits end. I left them last night with tubes in to 40psi so I can have another go today. What i didnt do was pat and slap the tyre in the area near the valve – as per stans video – so I will try that.

i already have a blu ray player, also i hear that the games on the PS3 are just ports from xbox and dont take advantage of the better hardware? – saying that I would probably not be able to tell the difference anyway.

got some PRO2/Flows last week from Leisure Lakes Notts. They were ordered in from Hope but I dont think they are the EVO hubs.

Just having a mare getting them up with Stans rim tape/valves with Single Ply wire bead High Rollers….left them until the morning with tubes in.

I went 2 years ago – I love it, I mainly rode on my own as I went with my sister & her partner they hired some bikes for a few days but were not into like I was. I spent 4 days on my own blasting down The Pleney & into Les Gets on my own, mostly people were pretty friendly.

I am toying with the idea this year, when are you thinking of going? I have asked mates but no one ever commits so I just go on my own.

It can be done a budget (go to supermarket on the way into Morzine and get cheap food/beer, in the evening have some beers at your digs then go out about 9ish to the bars…but they are expensive!

What sort of riding are you into?
