In my opinion fox are way above rockshox in terms of quality never achieved full travel in any rockshox I’ve owned but I think 36’s are ott for trail centres.

So where in the UK are 36s justified?

I say 90% of my riding is the Dark Peak, 10% trail centres

im in Lincoln, ride the Dark peak but pass thru Worksop!

Simon still waiting for my damaged Sektors to come back from Fishers/SRAM, they have arrived at LBS but cant collect them until monday so gonna see how they come back and decide if to go for the repair/upgrade or spend £500 new fork/second hand decent pair?

I have a pair of trashed Sektor Solo Air RL’s that need a new CSU!

I have been speaking to Simon about repair and also rebound/Blackbox! upgrade it sounds good!

I have £500 cash for new 36s/Lyriks or dont know wheter to get the Sektors repaired/upgraded at the same time?

Don’t get me started i’ve been through this with my son.

My advice is to get a contact order from the court, your ex can’t stop you having your daughter!

You have rights but you need a solicitor, then go to court.

It’ll probably get a bit nasty at first but when you have the order things will calm down i’m sure.

Please don’t get walked over, women in these situations think they are all the child needs. Not true.

yeh get a steel one, but i wouldnt worry about doesnt really cause that much damage!

i am on the birth cert, i have parental responsibility but she has custody!

“the child is too young’ response from her is just to wind me up but I try not to appear wound but it is hard.

I know the best course of action is keep it amicable – I am a decent guy i want to see my daughter properly, put her to bed, be there when she wakes up etc etc all the thins that I miss!

yeah i was looking at Marzo’s How are you finding them – I have always been a Rockshox guy, but my mates Marzos seem a lot more plush than my RS.

SRAM PG 980 cassettes have an ally spider and are £37 at Merlin. Been using them on my Hope hub for 4 years

Same here, I did think about XT but picked up a new PG980 for less than £30 from absolutebikes on ebay!

My PRO2 freehub is fine, but every few rides in winter I do whip it off to clean & lube it!

Yep one of the stanchions is very slightly forward of the other if the intervals are ok then I guess its a new crown/steerer assembly?

Yep that makes sense, the internals appear to be ok so fingers crossed! How would they repair them? Put new stanchions in to the crown? Or replace the whole crown/steerer assembly?

my daughter is 9 months old, trying to feed her in her high chair is hard work, every time i try to put a spoonful near her mouth, she thinks its a game and grabs the spoonful of food then tries to feed herself. When I tell her NO firmly, she looks like she is about to burst into tears…..then my heart melts! you have got to love ’em!

9 months later my little princess Freya is simply amazing – saviour every minute!

I have an RS Sektor Solo Air on my SC Butcher….it is very similar to a Pike, it does NOT have 2 compression circuits (hi & lo speed)
This is something the Pike suffered with which wa remedied with a PUSH upgrade, I hear it is coming to the Sektor shortly!
Sektor is still great for the money though!

Gotam, yes Im running my HRs tubeless and they are non-ust!

I would agree about single ply high rollers side walls being very fragile!

I have some on Flows, Tubeless obviously and they are starting to fray and the weave is coming through!

Mind you they are cheap as chips and offer me plenty of confidence, I have tried a Minion DHF on the front but didn’t really notice it rolling quicker – However I may try one again.

Tyres are very subjective, a lot depends on the rider, terrain, pressures etc. They are all good tyres it just depends what you feel comfy with.

is that the only reason the Flows are good?
They’re good because they convert to tubeless very easily. They use conventional spokes, so if you break a spoke they’re easy to replace. They’re relatively light and relatively strong. The way the Stan’s bead hook system works and the width of the rim apparently means that tyres have a little bit of extra volume and the width of the rim gives them a nice profile. If you buy the Hope Hoops, you get a very good deal considering the price of all the individual components. You’ll also annoy David Tayltroll who exists primarily to tell other people how brilliant he is and how over specced their bikes are. All these are good things.
