Me neither quite the opposite……one post from a forum member whom otherwise doesn’t post anything and all of a sudden his take on the incident was taken as gospel and all of a sudden giant should be avoided and that now comes up on everything related to giant

Let’s have a screen shot of the halfords receipt showing there alleged incompetence

Given half the questions asked on this forum or the absolute incompetence posted I’d be surprised if it wasn’t actually nothing to do with halfords.

Before outing a retailer where’s the actual proof that halfords built the bike and it wasn’t taken boxed and built by the neighbours grandads Gardner.

This forum is fast becoming worse than the comments in gmbn youtube chanel

    Clearance is too tight imo

No such issues with formula mag etc but shimano xt with 2.3 mm thick was tight .I could get them to drag free with no catching but the lever was very firm even with pistons pushed back whilst keeping bleed cap off .

I also have a newer 2023 version  31.6 x 170mm fox transfer not a kashima mind  version  available that I removed from a brand new bike as I could just about squeeze a 200 in there .

No lever with it but it’s yours for £85.00 posted uk

Felt a lot smoother and better quality than the one up I’ve put in now tbh

In all seriousness if your struggling to identify the crows foot maybe get someone else to fit the brakes. Said tongue in cheek

The damper doesn’t care what position its in so isn’t wheel size specific

The rct3 is too overdamped but for that money it’s not the end of the world .

The mc gets a lot of grief but it really isn’t that bad and if your skill set requires it it’s easy enough to improve at home with basic tools for  the 2 or 3 occasions a year you ride places fast and gnarly enough you feel the mc,s limits.

All too easy to get sucked in by the media/ vloggers /so called influencers

Personally I’d of opted for the novy parts splug if you really couldn’t live with having a mc damper .

Where you getting the yari from ?

My lewis lht have been absolutely faultless

Bite point stays where i set it

Silent powerful and 6 months in reliable

The provided pads have held up well and are about half worn

Calderdale hasn’t been pleasant recently and they’ve survived so far

I got them on offer when they first come out for well under 400

Can’t of been easy organising all this year in year out .

As a local, and someone who has ridden it several times none of which recently there’s a few factors that mean most people I ride with gave up on it years ago.

It really is a fantastic day out on the bike in some spectacular scenery and if you’ve never done I wou,d reccomend it .

Do not turn up on a big burly mountain bike it’s just not what I’d call a mountain bike challenge gravel bike would be perfect lightweight ht fine

The e bikes will annoy you

The constant stalling of traffic  at anything remotely more technical than a curb will create a backlog so long you’d be forgiven for thinking there’s a toll to pay.

Sometimes not changing isn’t the best thing and I ride round here most weeks and wkds .

    Good luck for the future

You can  see the amount of rust on the pads .the pin is likely fussed from the rust. Remove the wheel to save the rotor but as the pads are toast soak that pin in wd40 for a day or so .

Do not as above simply tap itwith some beans as you will crack the caliper on the thin bit above the pin

Your pistons are also likely to be seized looking at the state of the rust on the pads so order some hunters silicone for lubing the pistons using a tyre lever to work the pistons .I’d personally send those off to hope after you’ve got the pin out for a refresh.

It’s a subsidised service and for £100 they’ll come back fully serviced new seals oil and pads

The crs4 by clarkes are indeed rebranded with no additional modifications made than the ones found on amazon ali exp etc the rotors are so flimsy I wouldn’t even rely on them as a coffe coaster

The lever piston starts to swell and suck in air within months

I sent mine back to merlin who refused to publish my review removing it every time I wrote it.

Note as great as merlin are they remove ALL negative reviews of all products ts which i find unacceptable

It’s such a small niche within a relative niche Im sure the riders In  there bubbles think there as big as f1 drivers to there fans but I can’t help think there actions now at this stage has just put a nail in the coffin of slopestyle.

The revenue it generates is minimal yet the costs on putting on the show are huge.

I really do think they should of gone about this differently

    Longtime lingerer first time poster.

There is an argument that putting several hundred people on a plane for 4 hours isn’t as bad as 2 people in a car for the same time @weeksy

As someone who has been involved with production in China and Taiwan if we all in the UK stopped driving our cars tomorrow it would still not make up more than 0.17% difference to the global issue .

Yes it would instantly help the air around you but the bigger issues has to be sorted and these most polluting countries who are blatantly flouting pollution laws .

Brazil China Philippines India are absolutely getting away with it and doing absolutely nothing about it .

If we look at the very very basic  issue recycling

Until 2018 the UK at great expense was shipping 34% of the uks recycled !!!! Waste in shipping containers to China, what did China do with it? Incinerated it .

The deal involved a fine of every container that was found to be contaminated.

Once the fines were getting so out-of hand the UK pulled out .

The recycling that we put out week in week out only 60% of that is getting recycled

It is reported that another 30% of that cannot be recycled because its contaminated by us

If we all made drastic changes right now it would still only work if the rest of the world followed suit .
