Ah I think mine have a fairly aggressively cut steerer so they would be unlikely to work.

I’ve got a set of 26″ 100mm Rebas in the garage somewhere if they’re of any help.

Ok so it’s on Vimeo not Youtube, but it still counts right.

Best film I’ve seen at the cinema in as long as I can remember.

On a technical level I’d put it with stuff like The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.

I used to go and do hill climbs occasionally on a bit of road that was closed to cars in the evenings. Was lovely, albeit sometimes a little cold.

Acronyms cease to be useful when you need a whole page to explain them.

I have to say last night’s wasn’t my favourite. The Paul Nuttalls from the Ukips routine from a past series I watch all the time though.

Carpet Remnant World was a fantastic show as well, have a search for jungle canyon rope bridge, one of my favourite pieces of comedy ever.

johnx2 – That’s incredible. Manages to make it listenable!

It does look poor to be honest.

However, there’s too much Independence Day slander in this thread.

This is a film where Will Smith, one of the finest movie stars of his generation, punches an alien in the face then says BOTH “Welcome to earth!” and “Now that’s what I call a close encounter”.

How can you not like that?

I’m assuming you’re looking at newer ones but I’ve got an X reg 1 litre Yaris that’s now over 152k miles and I’d get another one in a heartbeat.

Listened to Compton front to back a fair few times since it’s release.

Bizarrely I started following the Timberwolves at their nadir a few years back – after the KG years and into the David Kahn and Kurt Rambis era. It’s nice to see them slowly come back into it with Rubio, Wiggins, Towns et al.

I did subscribe to League Pass for a couple of years but can no longer justify the money or time.

I live less than a mile from the Staple Hill tunnel and use the path (albeit the other direction) every day.

Blog up there is pretty much spot on. Work started in I think October? And was going to be done by originally the end of the year. Then it was March, now I think it’s gone out even further. I went past the other day and it seemed like **** all had been done.

On Bristol hating cyclists, it depends. No worse or better than anywhere else I’ve ridden. Railway Path makes life a lot easier (when it’s open) though.

Seriously – The Brits , J ross ? i like da hippitty hop – really i do but is he ? Nah, Dre ,Biggy, Tupak even Jiggy they changed the game Kanye?

Kanye changed the sound of hiphop and by extension popular music multiple times. Without his work on Blueprint you don’t get the Jay-Z you have today. College Dropout had a massive influence on the subject matter in mainstream hip hop. Without 808s you don’t get the prevalence of autotune and the rise of Drake et al (like it or not).

Whether you like him or you don’t it is impossible to deny the monumental impact he has personally had on the genre.

Run The Jewels 2 is the standout for me. Lie Cheat Steal being my personal favourite.

I’d throw a mention in for Freddie Gibbs and Madlib’s Pinata, and RATKING’s So It Goes.

Ride along standing on the saddle and then think “I bet I can take my hands off the bars as well…”.

Turns out you can’t. In my defence I was about 8.

With Kanye’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, and Enter The Wu Tang in a close second.

if you were pushed in the street for no reason you’d react in exactly the same way.

Umm, if someone pushed me in the street I can categorically state that I would not headbutt them.

Sawyer. Please educate us as to what we should have been listening to since the 90s then. I am about 15 years out of date with rap music.

Whatever you want to listen to.

I just don’t particularly agree with the argument (which, incidentally only ever seems to be applied to hiphop…) that a whole genre of music can be written off as “being about bling”.

    That’s all.

Yeah but that’s like saying rock music’s not been good since 1990 because of the boy band era.

Not having a tap outside is a pain. Going to have to get a portable washer of some kind I think. I have a sheet of plastic under the bike area, which is also where my shoes now live. Keeps oil and mud in one place.

FWIW I think most rap these days is pretty poor stuff in comparison to 80s and 90s stuff. Lost its edge when it became about being bling.

In that case you’ve been listening to the wrong stuff since the 80s and 90s.

But that would necessitate that they’re all the same pattern, all the same size; if they’re not then we’re looking at dozens of different craft, hundreds, all landing once never to return.

To be fair Cougar, if I landed in this weather I’d probably piss off straight away and never come back.

I think this is the best pop song of the year, and the video is just fun.

I haven’t sat through the 24 hour version though obviously.

Prizes for spotting Odd Future, Steve Carrell and Magic Johnson (among others).

It’s Run The Jewels for me, had it on hard repeat all year.

Followed by Pusha T’s My Name Is My Name and probably Flatbush Zombies’ Better Off Dead.

Aguirre, Wrath of God is hugely epic. My favourite Herzog film. Fitzcarraldo too.

Once Upon A Time In The West and The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly for Westerns.

He does come across as a bit of a nob.

However, he made Come Find Yourself, so I’m on the fence.

Rizzle Kicks are good fun and make decent pop music.

I’ve got one… but it’s not been ridden yet so it’s sitting built up in my shed waiting for the Alps.

My understanding is that as long as its got the new idler you’re ok. But don’t quote me on that.

It is heavy, mainly because there’s alot of metal but it seems very sturdy. Other than that I can’t tell you anything I’m afraid.
