Including the “Thumbs Up” playlist?
Yes. It has a new name though: Your Likes.
Weirdly the new one on youtube music says it has more (10%) more songs on than the old one on play, but I can’t be bothered looking for an explanation (yet).
It was on “downloaded” in play music, and that status didn’t transfer, but was only one click away when I noticed.savoyadFull MemberOur start delay this evening is 12 minutes. So join the event by 18:33 and the sweatfest will begin at 18:45.
Don’t let anyone borrow your fan today @dangeourbrain.
Today’s line-up as it stands is:
dangeourbrain
phil56
savoyad
twisty
zilog6128Still room for reinforcements. Cat D here: https://www.zwift.com/events/view/1003086
See you in the pen!
savoyadFull MemberYour ride yesterday has everything @dangeourbrain. Not the best day to start a tough ride overdressed without a fan.
how long does Venn top take
It took me 1:36 of which 1:31 was the strava climb segment at a (robotic) 3.2w/kg. That was in the never ending peloton of the etape though, so it would have been slower without the megadraft. I said afterwards I see no reason to ever ride that route again, and I still think that. I like zwift because it relieves the relentless of indoor riding. Ven-top does not exactly have that virtue.
savoyadFull MemberNo start times yet, but a quick bump for tomorrow’s zwift TTT.
Tomorrow, 6.30pm, Out and Back Again.
Sign up to category D here: https://www.zwift.com/events/view/1003086
I’ll be back later with our confirmed start time.
savoyadFull MemberYou don’t need to look far away to find somewhere to live there. Skipton/Clitheroe etc are nice enough, but they are unnecessarily far away. This is a chance to get a nice compact lifestyle in a great environment. The detail depends on what you want – urban, rural, what you mean by good schools etc. I suggest: start with Rammy, work outwards according to your preferences.
savoyadFull MemberQuick plug for this week’s TTT: Thursday, 6.30pm, Out and Back Again.
All welcome to join us. The start list isn’t up yet, but I can see 5 of us already on the companion app. So there are three places still available.

savoyadFull MemberNot just a stellar line up. A slightly mad shortened course as well. Every finish is uphill. Stage 2 is officially a (merely) “hilly” stage but it finishes on top of a hors-categorie climb.
savoyadFull MemberThat was a good ride. The hill wasn’t really a hill. But on the other hand the “flat” bit was, as robbo1234biking says, sometimes hard work especially towards the end. We stayed together well. Thanks robbo1234biking and twisty for joining us, you slotted right in nicely.
We were indeed 51/125 in latte, and 254/433 overall.
The entry is in for next week, Thursday 6.30 as usual. It’s 42km of Out and Back Again (which we have ridden before).
Enter category D here: https://www.zwift.com/events/view/1003086
I’ll post that info again after the weekend.
savoyadFull MemberHey. Hands off Thursday evenings robbo!
Apart from that it’s a good idea. Is it too soon to tell how much functionality is being made available to avoid doing all that scoring manually?
savoyadFull MemberCan confirm that TRP Hyd/Rd are great. Admittedly not exactly what you asked for, but nearly.
savoyadFull MemberHere’s the info for this evening. Event start is at 18:33. Our start delay is +10 minutes, so we’re actually off at 18:43.
The start list looks like this at the moment:
dangeourbrain B
savoyad B
weeksy C
zilog6128 C
robbo1234biking CTheres’s still space if anyone else wants to join in. Category D here: https://www.zwift.com/events/view/991230
Some details (robbo1234biking, in extra detail for you today!)
– dress up as a bumblebee. make sure you are on a road bike, not a TT bike (the whole point is the draft…)
– join the event (“enter the start pen”) before the event start time, so before 18:33
– when the start says “GO”, DO NOT GO! At this point, you must stop pedalling (so you don’t roll forward) until our team’s actual start time, which today is 10 minutes later, so 18:43. If you must pedal (e.g. to keep your power meter awake) go into the pairing screen. All the way in. Even apparently paused in the menu you’ll roll forward if you pedal.
– at our actual start time, someone will shout go. At that point, go. It’s self explanatory after that. Ride with the group.
– the “hardest” part is often passing or being passed by another team, as the sticky drafts get tangled and you get dropped. be aware
– for comms, we’ll use discord (for chat beforehand, shouting “go”, cajoling me back on when I fall behind, declaring tech issues etc). Join the stw server here: https://discord.gg/UxHekd We use the STW Voice channel in there. Push Tt Talk is best, otherwise all everyone hears is panting. If it fails/cuts out etc, it’s still possible to do the whole thing without – at the start, just go at exactly 18:43/when you see us rolling off. It’ll be quite thinned out by 10 minutes so easy to see today.I think that’s it.
See you in the pen.

Is there space for me?
Absolutely. I can see you on the start sheet already. I’ll post full practical info tomorrow. The race itself is self-explanatory. But getting to – and leaving – the start line is a faff that needs explaining. Watch this space!
@twisty saidI’m tempted to join tomorrow
Excellent. If you do sign up, come back for the info I just promised robbo sometime tomorrow…
savoyadFull MemberDoes Warburtons “toastie” fit in that Russell Hobbs Dorchester?
savoyadFull Member@zilog6128 said
Do they have an off-season or is it on literally every week?
As far as I know it’s literally every week. It is a bit relentless. Maybe we’re having our own mini off-season at the moment…
@weeksy saidNot sure about ‘flat’ on that one though lol.
Nice ride this morning weeksy. Isn’t the only hill on that RGV course literally a bridge… so small it’s dwarfed by the bigger bridge next to it?
I’ve posted a dedicated TTT thread. It did occur to me that our habitual 6.30 timeslot was chosen at the height of lockdown and if we keep doing this there will maybe come a time when more normality for us all means that becomes less convenient. Just something to keep in mind, even if not until after summer.
savoyadFull MemberJust me, dangeourbrain and zilog for the TTT so far. Any other interest?
25km of flat France, Thursday 6.30pm
Sign up here to Category D: https://www.zwift.com/events/view/991230
savoyadFull MemberThe Team Time Trial entry is in for this week.
Thursday, 6.30pm, 1 lap (25km) of RGV on the French map. That’s the shortest and flattest for ages.
Enter category D here: https://www.zwift.com/events/view/991230
I think might start doing this in its own thread each week (like the MNPR threads).
savoyadFull MemberI don’t fully understand it yet, but I’m in the same position and I think the new gcn race pass £20 for the year might be the solution.
savoyadFull MemberNo takers for TTT this week? 6.30 this evening, 2 laps of Richmond Reverse.
Entry is in, start delay is 7.5 minutes. But so far, we have no riders.
If there’s a last minute surge…
Sign up here to category D. https://www.zwift.com/events/view/978171
I can’t ride today. Whatever happens I’ll try again next week.
savoyadFull MemberTTT entry is in for next week. Thursday 6.30pm, 2 laps of Richmond Reverse, 32km.
All welcome – sign up to category D here: https://www.zwift.com/events/view/978171
I can’t ride next week. I will post this info again after the weekend. If I am not online, the start delay will be published here https://wtrl.racing/ttt/TTT-Event.php Weds evening.
savoyadFull MemberJust seen this. It won’t be the same with just 3 riders. So I’m out.
I’ll put in an entry for next week as usual, and post the entry link tomorrow.
savoyadFull MemberHere’s the status page: https://connect.garmin.com/status/
Literally everything they do is down, and has been all day.
savoyadFull MemberTTT news for tonight…
Riders: sign up here, category D https://www.zwift.com/events/view/966087
Our start delay is +2 minutes = so in the pen by 18:33, stop pedalling, then we’re off at exactly 18:35.
The start list so far is just me, phil and zilog. I know @Tiger6791 said he’d be there. Any others? @weeksy? @ljarch? Newcomers are also very welcome.
I’ll update with a final (expanded!) startlist later today.
savoyadFull MemberNice rides last night @tomlevell and @nixie. The leagues for Cats A and C are quite tight in that Deeside league now, it’s fun to keep an eye on.
I did the etape ride up ventop/ventoux at the weekend. It was nice enough and a pretty good representation of a big climb. But now I can’t see any reason to ever ride it again – the big event feel, the tour animations and the novelty made it for me. Without them , the alpe / the ride to chalet reynard just seem a more sensible size for big-zwifting (whether free riding or in a race).
savoyadFull MemberYes. I just got a new groupset for my road bike. Whole groupsets were not in stock anywhere. I kept the price within £30 of what I would otherwise have paid but from 4 shops in 3 different countries. My experience was that everything is in stock somewhere, but it can be a pain to find the shop which happens to have the precise component you want.
There are 2 variants of the Fox Transfer 31.6/150mm in stock at bikester, but I don’t know if either is the one you want.
savoyadFull MemberGreat. The entry for next week is in:
Thursday, 6.30 pm. 4 laps of the Innsbruckring, total 35.6km.
Enter category D here: https://www.zwift.com/events/view/966087
ljarch did a good job of pacing us up Northumberland Avenue together last night. I think the leg snapper will suit us (even those of us who’ll complain that it won’t!). And we’ll get 4 attempts at it….
savoyadFull MemberI agree with Phil. We rode well together as a group, and that’s a very respectable result – 25/130 in latte and 248/472 overall. Sorry for playing the dangeourbrain yoyo-ing role towards the end.
We were marginally slower than last time we rode that course back in April – but that day we did have a bigger stronger group and rode in frappe (and I got dropped, painfully, with a few km to go).
I had no comms at all for the middle 20km (just the error message lady shouting in my ear over and over about disconnection/reconnection from my phone). I’m going to find an alternative to my phone stuffed in my back pocket.
A few people have drifted in and out of the thread tempted to join the TTT. I really recommend it. It’s fun and it’s certainly helped make me a stronger rider, and better at zwifting as well.
savoyadFull MemberTTT info for this evening:
Our start delay is 6 minutes, so in the pen by 18:33 and then we go at 18:39:00.
The start list looks like this at the moment:
phil56
weeksy
ljarch
savoyad
zilog6128So there is still space for others to join us. Sign up in category D here https://www.zwift.com/events/view/953161
See you in the pen!
savoyadFull MemberYeah i’ll play in the TTT tonight fellas. Not sure how amazing i’ll be or not, but i’ll come join in that’s for sure.
Great news @weeksy.
savoyadFull Membercan you take the power from the Turbo to a head unit and Zwift at the same time?
Yes (use ant+)
savoyadFull MemberWhats the deal with the TTT? I’m curious.
Basically we ride together every Thursday evening. We’ve settled into the 6.30pm time slot for now. It’s a mixed ability thing, and we’re usually in one of the two “Bs and Cs” classes, depending on whether we are mainly Bs or mainly Cs that week. We aim to finish together. It’s fun (or at least “fun”) and a good workout.
It’s this series: https://wtrl.racing/ttt/TTT-Rules-and-Info.php (that link has a lot of boring practial info).
The best way to sate your curiosity might be to just join us:
– Sign up to Category D (whatever category you normally ride, this event repurposes the various categories, we are D this week) here: https://www.zwift.com/events/view/953161 and tell us you’ve done it in this thread; and
– Append “(STW)” to your Rider Name in zwiftpower, as the TTT system uses this as a tag to identify who is in which team.If you (or anyone else new) signs up I’ll post more detailed practical info later in the week (we use discord to communicate during the race so there will be a link, I’ll explain the slightly weird start procedure etc.)
savoyadFull MemberTeam Time Trial this week: Thursday, 6.30pm, 2 laps of Greater London Flat (28.9km total)
Riders, enter category D here: https://www.zwift.com/events/view/953161
I’ll post the start delay etc later in the week.
savoyadFull MemberEbay does indeed (automatically) provide buyers with tracking info and mark as dispatched prematurely like that when you purchase shipping through them.
savoyadFull Member@kelvinshuffle trainer difficulty is a red herring here – the drivo and the flow have different specs, and whatever the specs say I’d expect a wheel on trainer from one manufacturer and a direct drive from another to implement grades differently anyway.
I’d ride a little to get the trainer difficulty where you like it, and then do whatever ride(s) you trust to give comparable data. Sunday (or any other day!) alpe would make most sense I think.
savoyadFull MemberOK, no TTT (for STW) tonight. Hopefully back to normal next week.
Good luck with the Vomit (!) team Phil and Brian. Thanks for hosting them Kelvin.
savoyadFull MemberTeam Time Trial news for tomorrow, 6.30pm. 2 laps of Sand And Sequoias (nice and familiar for anyone who just rode the Deeside race).
We have a start time: 18:33 PLUS 5 minutes, so 18:38:00
But we have…ONLY TWO riders signed up, @phil56 and @dangeourbrain. I can’t ride tomorrow. We need at least one more, preferably more.
Sign up to category D here: https://www.zwift.com/events/view/938647
I’ll keep an eye on the start list and post an update again tomorrow.
savoyadFull MemberOn (3) camping in West Wales – campsites are reopening next week, but note that it’s without toilet/shower facilities for the time being.
savoyadFull Memberin absence of anything else im a bit stuffed
I think you’ll be fine. Do the same ride on each crank on the same bike one after the other. Swap the cranks without even taking the bike off the trainer. The tacx flow might not be perfect, but it’ll be consistent (enough) with itself for that long.
The zwiftpower analysis feature will graph each crank against the flow for you.savoyadFull Member@kelvinshuffle you’ve done well to find a direto in stock. Someone (I think Brian but it could be Phil?) on the TTT team rides a drivo 1 I think. Kickr core is in stock at bike24 but would blow your budget (hang on, and direct from zwift in stock
and cheaper but still 699).I paid less for a graded (but perfect except the packaging) direto x from Germany than your direto 1 price. Worth keeping an eye on. The Saris H3 price from Germany is also pretty tempting, especially if you are (as I think you are) a user of erg mode.
