I think he/she means you might be able to get a discount on a replacement if its not insured.

If you have contents insurance it might be worth checking it might be included even if it was stolen away from your home.

Got there at 9 and surprised how busy it was! Didn’t notice too much congestion on the trails though. Super friendly locals and the bike shop folks! Had a really good ride!

    Good stuff!

If you go again when the evenings are lighter 4pm is also a great time as most are starting to go home. There have been times when I haven’t met anyone on the trail going at that sort of time. 🙂

I noticed they aren’t selling size XL, wonder what the reasoning was there.

If I really wanted to go out at the weekend I’d just ask for a refund and go to the local LBS to get the parts.

Demo a five first, wouldn’t buy a car without a test drive?

Granted you will build your own but it should give a good basis if the frame is for you.

Just bad luck unfortunately, forum would be littered with complaints if there was reliability issues.

Decided against Hebden Bridge in the end, staying in Reeth and Dent instead

If your ever passing Hebden Bridge, Hardcastle Crags is a good place for a walk. It’s steep and hard going in places though.

Hearing what you are saying. Is there any decent trail centres nearby? Going to have a couple of hours on the fri evening & a morning on the Sunday.

Buy an OS for the lakes and make your own loop!

Grizedale and surrounding area has some awesome bridleways.

I’ve had the odd weird moment using NowTV through my xbox but it seems to be stable again. Never had an issue with any other tv app.

Complain you’ll probably get a free voucher.

I’m sticking with it for now.

Having won hardtail of the year (second year running?) with other magazines why not look at the VooDoo bizango 29er?

    http://www.halfords.com/cycling/bikes/mountain-bikes/voodoo-bizango-29er-mountain-bike-20

You’ll save yourself £400 and having read a few reviews its better than most £1000+ hardtails.

Anyone have a clue how much this may affect house price?

Not knowing the finer details, I think it will struggle when he would come to sell.

Sounds like an ideal buy to let to students though, long term investment.

Amazing documentary, we’ll never know the full truth sadly and will be probably one of the most debated topics in cycling/TDF for a very long time.

A man who has no limits and will no doubt keeping fighting to the grave.

He did not strike me as a remorseful man, the eyes said it all.

My Camelbak Mule NV is going strong after 5 years, if it dies I’ll probably buy another.

Price wise, even if it was slightly more expensive I feel I get good value out of it.

Can’t remember the model name but I have the one with the built in rain cover. Rain cover probably helps keeping it alive that little bit longer. Gets shoved in the washing machine once a year too. Comes out looking newish.

I’m riding out to Langsett. Although weather depending, not in the mood to sit in the rain for four hours.

Going back a few years now, I basically paid for sky tv, bt broadband + telephone and £100 a month to parents on each pay day. Worked out about 20% of my wages.

I was a bit grumpy at the time but in hindsight it was perfectly reasonable and I learnt to money manage better.

It soon motivated me to earn more also so I had more cash to spend on going out.

There is some great riding around/near to the cobbler also. I have parked up at Ardgarten before then followed the path that crosses the road and followef it right towards Arrochar/cobbler climb. Then continued past on the fire road that doesn’t lead down succoth eventually coming to a bit where you can turn right and there’s a stoney water pass at the bottom (visible on google satellite view). Follow it all the way and take two right turns so your heading back to Arrochar. Theres some real treat of bomb holes and nice natural bearms ahead just look ahead for walkers. Once you get back to Arrochar either hump it up the road back to Ardgarten or nip up the cobbler path and back down the trail/fire road back. I would class it as a moderate ride, nothing scary its mainly fire roads or trails with mixture of surfaces. Just have a map or gps unit to hand if you’re unsure where your going.

    spacemonkey – Member Question:

should all extensions have a microfilter attached even if they’re not connected to a phone?

Microfilters required only if something is connected to the socket. (sky tv for example)

I’ve read through all the posts I know its not helpful but it was a filter issue for me. I just purchased three new ones after some head scratching and it fixed it.

Ditched my Giant anthem fs frame in favour of the inbred. Not regretted it, suits my riding style and didn’t cost the earth which makes a change.

    My little pocket rocket.

200bhp mountune spec engine, exhaust bits n bob, coilovers and lighter alloys. Not much done inside, just taken trim out to reduce weight.

Nothing to extreme just something to have fun in!

Brooess – If your not happy just find another place.

You’ve raised the issues in writing I can’t see why they would sting you for carpet cleaning.

Some landlords simply don’t care, can keep asking but they don’t legally even have to supply hot water let alone a suitable paint for a wall.

I have a smoke smell issue in my current house, turns out next door smoke 500 a day. Worse in the summer when all windows are open. No bother now, moving out soon.
