Santa gave me some vouchers so didn’t quite cost as much.

Pretty pleased to be honest I struggle trousers wise being 6ft 5 and these moleskins are great for the winter.

As for where else to shop, no idea but maybe next year Santa will bring you some vouchers! :-)

Not sure what you want to use it for but seen a few people convert these into mountain bike/camper vans before.

Just a Ford Transit LWB high roof. Think it ticks all your boxes but loads to choose from.

    Auto Trader clicky

Merc Sprinter vans are probably the biggest if you’re after load space.

Probably get £40 on ebay for it but there is a lot on there in worse condition, who knows!

If it does sell could buy an mp3 player :-P

Near the clock in the right hand corner is the connection symbol right click and select troubleshoot options.

Let it and run, see how you get on.

Could be a firmware thing too, worth looking at the suppliers website and see what you can find, might need to uninstall/re-install the drivers.

We’re looking for a new car (albeit an estate)

    These offer may interest you,

    https://www.stoneacre.co.uk/fuel-and-go

    http://www.skoda.co.uk/finance/finance-offers/fabia/pages/default.aspx#Hatch#offer1

Having worked on Skoda’s in the past I can say the build quality is excellent considering the price. In Clarkson’s words “far too good to be a reasonably priced car”.

Shop around and also use carwow.co.uk let the dealers send you offers :-)

Going to Hull this weekend to visit the father in law who’s in hospital there. I may need a cultural* escape after the hospital visit, what’s available to stimulate me?

Note – wife in tow so needs to be inclusive

    * in the broadest sense really

I don’t think much to Hull… Head north and go to either Beverley or up the coast to Brid for fish & chips.

surely this is best addressed by only having one category in a given sport and letting pure performance decide who wins and gets paid.

Like Formula 1? Look how that works out…

It wouldn’t be very appealing to some females if it was mixed only. I think there is a place for gender specific sports if it encourages others to take part. I’m not advocating females and males shouldn’t be allowed to race either I’m just saying there is a place for different categories.

They might never reach the same level, but it would be a lot more even than it is now

Have you ever watched it at club level? Viewing figures would be very low after the novelty wears off (don’t think it would be cost effective) but I’m not against it being shown I just don’t think it would get the exposure you reckon. Would be nice to see a match of day version though.

I essentially want a win10 hdmi stick with both ethernet and a usb input for a webcam

It’s not win10 but have seen this however there isn’t much info out there on it. It’s using android and apparently you can download skype via play store and hook up a webcam to it via USB. But if I’m honest there really isn’t anything out there that I would comfortably say would work. Such a shame the Roku box doesn’t have the skype app.

I know you don’t want to hear it but just bear in mind for wifi apart from hiding the SSID as mentioned already, you can also do MAC filtering which restricts which devices can or cannot connect to the router via wifi. Most routers also have the ability to do MAC filtering at scheduled times too. I have a friend who wanted wifi on but didn’t want his kids on the internet all day. MAC address filtering works a treat as you just block the devices you don’t want connected or block all and only allow the trusted few.

That said if you’re willing to splash a bit more cash why not just go down a media/mini PC route, I’ve tried looking for a stick that has ethernet and can also use webcam but I’m drawing a blank on anything that looks remotely decent.

    XBMC

I just find Kodi/XBMC a bit of a faff navigating wise but its good, more so for naughty football steams *cough*

Dday is 29th Nov. Sky will shut down in the wrighty house. We don’t have a TV Ariel. Does apple TV stream domestic channels? Can I use my sky dish for a free sat box, can I use my sky box for a freesat service?

Wrightyson – I was using the Skybox just with the freestuff at first on it and then when I got a new TV I just used the built in Freeview connected to the dish sky put in. I now use the built in Freeview for live TV using the Sky dish or Nowtv/Netflix via broadband for catchup. Sky box was sold as spares on ebay!

I’m using a Roku box for streaming https://www.roku.com/en-gb/

Roku is like Apple TV can’t stream domestic TV but can get apps like BBC iplayer and stream live channels that way.

Might be worth thinking about January sales as you’re saving £80 a month worth investing in something like a new smart TV that does it all? :-)

Also don’t signup for longer than 3/4 months if buying the NowTV movie package just cancel it after whatever deal you buy into expires and say its too expensive as a reason for leaving; it will offer you it again for three months half price. :-)

Bernie – the ultimate wheeler dealer – he’s ace

Bernie, the king of back handers!

“Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone says Sepp Blatter should remain in charge of Fifa despite facing corruption charges.

If people allegedly have been corrupted to make things happen in their country, it’s good.

He also backed Russian President Vladimir Putin and said there was “no place for democracy.”

In the past, Ecclestone has referred to women as “domestic appliances” and praised Adolf Hitler as someone who “got things done.”

Fair play to Sauber and Force India pushing F1 to the EU courts over unfair pay awards, Bernie will make it go away some how. It’s insane that last year Ferrai earned more than Mercedes yet Mercedes won the title…

I just find F1 boring and unbalanced these days, give me BTCC/WTCC/WEC. Not perfect by any means but raw action, fairer and more interesting to watch.

Kimi has been unfortunate the car hasn’t always been there and he has made the odd mistake. I think its the right move to keep him on another year and then see as there isn’t really any drivers available currently that won’t cost them millions of pounds so the driver can break contract.

I mostly ride locally and i have difficult in planning a route. Id like to some longer routes but presently that will end up with me gettong so far and then having to ride on the road back home because i will end up somewhere where i dknt know where the next next trail is or where it will end up.

So how do you all plan an off road route.

Spent £8 on a OS map, joined the bridleways up noting the contours and off I go. Sometimes its rubbish others it was ace. I didn’t know where the next lane or bridleway was either sometimes you just have to get out and ride.

I have viewranger app on my phone, never need to use it.

So how long before the deals on the old 2015 bikes appear? Its not as if the 2015 was a duffer.

It’s a great bike but couple of things to watch out for. Any deals on 29er will probably go sharpish, Spesh stopped doing the XL while back so if that’s a size anybody wants if you find one nab it!

Beware with the 650b the front triangle is just the 29er with a spacer for the fork and a smaller rear triangle this in turn means it has an incredibly low BB which does occasionally mean pedal clip. Generally I don’t have any problems but on a rutted bridleway for example navigating deep tractor tracks I have struggled a little where I don’t on my hard tail!

Autosag is ace on the rear shock, so easy to setup and the tyres are best i’ve used! Loved the last six months of ownership and look forward to the dry spells ahead!

Apart from the front stem being slightly bit long everything else is spot on.

No choice in colour but hey ho…
