Go! Lovely place, been a few times. Amazing scenery.

Dubrovnik is lovely as is Hvar and Korcula. Mijet is a national park on an island and is truly amazing. All of those places are do-able from Dubrovnik by boat. A good way to see places.

We use both Synoquin and Metacam for my 12 year old springer. Seen a change in her for the better but wasn’t aware of the affects on their stomach . I’ll speak to my vet about that.

There are a few trails and the like on the door step, bits that you can piece together, the macc canal and middle wood way are accessible. A little way out is Macc forest and then not far from the peak etc. I live in bramhall which is down the road and I manage to find places to ride . The bad thing about Poynton is the dreaded ‘shared space’ road through the middle of the place. Causes carnage!

Had ours done about 4 years back by these guys http://www.lifestylelawns.co.uk and very pleased. Recommended them to friends and colleagues who are also happy. Based in Newport Pagnell but will travel about and worth a look.

I bought a med and large and found the sizing was tight. Normally a medium but it was a tight fit so sold it to my mate and kept the large. Believe they’ve sold out as a mate at work tried to order one. Only worn it in dry conditions so not sure as to how waterproof they are.

Didn’t know he was paralysed, very sad to see and hear. Like many others he was a childhood hero of mine whilst flicking through the pages of MBUK! Good to see him back on wheels; hopefully back on 2 soon.

MTB International and trail magazine with my hard earned pocket money. And every Friday auto express. Used to love going the newsagent on a Friday afternoon for that.

My dad was a printer for a national company and he used to bring all sorts home. Being a petrol head myself I had all, sorts of automotive magazines, commercial van monthly or something! I still read it cover to cover . Sad. 😀

I’ve used an alpkit gamma for my winter running through fields / woods etc and never had a problem. Feels ok on the head and is the brightest torch I’ve used for a while. I’m happy with it.

I was very lucky as my birthday was just a few weeks ago so got a few then as well as over Xmas:

Jura original , Glenrothes and a monkey shoulder. Enjoying the Glenrothes at the moment and looking forward to trying the monkey shoulder as it’s one I’ve not had before.

Not had any of the later stuff but that’s probably because the older stuff I have is still in good order. I have a soft shell jacket and a pair of BASE jump pants. They’re all very well made and thankfully I didn’t pay full whack! ( I knew someone at the then distributors DMM! 🙂 ) I notice a lot of their products in the likes of go outdoors these days , but I am sure it is still great kit. I know they bought out Raichle footwear a few years back and rebranded all of their boots as mammut. I don’t think the footwear gets such good reviews.

Matthewjb – can I pop that cable onto a iPod Dock for example and will it charge and play audio through an iPhone 5?

I got one off ebay like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rechargable-Bluetooth-Music-Receiver-3-5mm-Output-for-Car-HiFi-iPhone-5-4s-H16-K-/141146591556?pt=UK_Computing_USB_Bluetooth_Adapters_Dongles&hash=item20dcfe1144 for the car. Get a 3.5mm jack cable, one end to the bluetooth gizmo and the other to the aux input and you’re sorted. For power I bought a USB 12v charger and leave it permanently plugged in. Works on other devices too with a 3.5mm input obviously. Bit cable heavy but if they’re out if sight they’re ok! Works for me.

I have a Prism, i love it, good little jacket warm enough, keeps a shower off and packs down to nowt. I have a Medium one. I also have a Medium Dyno but this feels a little tight compared to the Medium Prism. I’m not that impressed personally with the Dyno.

EE / orange deezer users; you can download the app to other devices ( like my ipad for example!) and login to the same account or login via web browser as your mobile phone account . My EE deezer account allows use on 3 devices, so I use it on my mobile, ipad and laptop. Top tip!

It is likely that your Son will have to pay a civil penalty (fine) and maybe a restoration fee. A storage fee (for the pound where the car is stored) may also be payable.

The Police have power to stop and seize vehicles running on Red diesel but ultimatly this is a HMRC (formerly Customs & Excise) offence as normal petrol forecourt fuel obviously has duty on it; Red does not so it is technically fruadulent evaison of excise duty. The police may well have referred the case to the local Road Fuel Testing Unit (HMRC) and they will deal with it on a civil case. HMRC have the power to seize vehicles running on red. If the civil penalty is not paid then ultimately the car could be crushed and your Son persued for costs. I’d personally try to get it dealt with ASAP; the longer it is in the pound, the more it will cost.

I had an 07 Edition 30 GTi. As with all VAG cars when you come to (or unless it’s been done) get the cambelt done, get the water pump and rollers done at the same time.

    Hello

Broke my radial (radius?) on my right wrist about 12 years ago in a rock climbing fall. A clean cut but required 8 pins and 2 plates. Doctors said i’d never climb again, but 8 months later I was in the Alps climbing! Still able to ride both my mountain and road bikes with no problems. Just bought myself a 661 wrist pro (others are available!) to give support and comfort. Have the occassional ache but thats about it. In the early days after the break i had a fair bit of physio and plenty of exercises for it, and it doesnt hinder me much these days, if it all. Good luck!

Gone for this one in the end, seemed straight forward. Just added some red chillies! In the oven now, smells great. It’ll be ready at 8! I’ll let you know how it went. http://www.channel4.com/4food/recipes/tv-show-recipes/sunday-brunch-recipes/cajun-pulled-pork-recipe
