Take out a nationwide flex plus account = £13 p/m and phone insurance included. £156 for the year and travel insurance also plus other benefits.

I used it it when I dropped my Galaxy and smashed the screen – returned in days and guaranteed for 12mths.

Me.. sort of. Had a bleed from old chap a few years back. Went the hospital to get checked out , as it was unusual . They checked the prostate too and whilst it was uncomfortable , I’d rather be safe than sorry.

A few seconds of discomfort but the piece of mind when I was told I had a “ small smooth prostate “ was worth it.

no harm in an MOT. Lost a friend this year of cancer that originated from the prostate.

Go and get done. It’s all good.

I have a Gamma and had it for about 6 years, great torch and good price too. Use it for running, night riding and generally in my climbing sack.

The cover off the battery compartment did fail, but I just emailed Alpkit and they popped a spare in the post for free. Can’t fault it, would buy another happily.

@countzero I got this one for £1700 on eBay.

Needs a service which I’ll book on Monday . Tax £190.00, insurance £159.00. Cheap so far and great fun.

Got it. Nice drive back from Wolverhampton where I sat in lane 1 bumbling along at 60/70. Bit noisy on the motorway but it’s ok. Come off around Stafford and went cross country back to Stockport .

Good on the twisty stuff and had a pretty constant 40mpg – cost me £35 to fill it when it said it had 50 miles left on the range computer.

Its pretty spacious For what it is – has full leather, all receipts, FSH and all the little well known jobs done. For the age of the car the bodywork is pretty solid and the HPI was all ok!

overall I’m very pleased with it. Great fun to drive and I think will be cheap to run. My insurance was £159 for 12 months so that’ll do.

Once I figure how to attach a photo, ill do so.

Doing my first marathon at the weekend – Manchester. Anyone else’s?

my training hasn’t gone to plan due to illness / bugs / flu. Ran up to 20m once last week ( but late ) and a few 15s, plenty of halves and regular weekly miles.

Bit it concerned about the lack of training – any tips? Just crack on?!

I’m doing Manchester marathon on 8 April. Training had been going well until a chest infection which means my longest run to date has been 15 miles which was 12 days ago. Behind on schedule but hoping to do 20-21 on Sunday . Appreciate I’m getting it in late , but is is better than not? It’ll be my first marathon so these kind of distances are new to me.

Belroy here too.  Seen the ad that appeared up top years ago and got one . Love it .

it made me condense what I carry , only essentials and got the Stocard phone app for my loyalty cards, so that was them gone.

I have a policy with ALA , thankfully never needed to use it . Cost me £110 for a 2 year policy on a £40k car ( new – return to invoice) . For the piece of mind it was worth it for me .

Big thread here on Pistonheads , including a discount code for ALA “PISTON12” . Very helpful service and don’t mess you around, give honest advice and assistance .

    I upgraded from a 235 to the Fenix 3 , again from Millets ( don’t forget quidco ).

from the 235 it’s a massive upgrade for me , i specifically wanted the altimeter for my fell / trail running .

its a big chunky watch, but I like it and does what I need it too. I’ve had a Suunto Ambit in the past and I find it more user friendly , and a nice upgrade from the 235.

I’m in the South, moved from Liverpool and ended up in Bramhall where I still am now. I left my firearms in Liverpool.

stockport has good rail links and close to the hills / Peak District for your outdoor interests. About a 10 mile wobble in to Manchester on the bike.

We we also have Soya milk in our lattes.

I’ve had the lurgy past few days, hoping to shake it off before Xmas as I’m cooking.. MIL and BIL are terrified of being around the slightest cough so now they’re saying they may not come ! Turkey for 6 anyone?

Plus I’m on call Xmas day, but only need to answer the phone if it goes.

Hoping then for a few days riding after Xmas…my new P7 has been out as much as it should ….

Sorry for your loss. Easy for me to say but it will get easier with time . Miss my springer, Heidi who has been gone 2 years now. You’ll have your memories of adventures that you’ll look back on.

    Take it easy.

Love B.Traits and been a fan for years since seeing her at Snowbombing festival, warehouse project and others. I was in Berlin last year when she happened to be playing at Ipse… a cheeky tweet asking to get on her guest list as it was my birthday ( it was ) and she did so! So she always gets my vote.

    Will DL this show.

She’s a great DJ ! Always listen to her shows and seen her a few times live. Last year I was on a weekend break in Berlin and she happened to be DJ’ing at a club there in town. Cheekily tweeted her asking for guest list and she put me on! Top girl.

I done my level 2 with discovery learning. Most of it was distance learning with a 2 day course including class room and practical training elements.

I enjoyed it burn occasionally found the ‘support’ from discovery lacking… if there was something I was unsure of I’d email to ask someone to explain, when all I got was an email back saying ” look at page 16 in your manual”.

Besides that, it wasn’t too bad.

Get the ST. It put a smile on my face every time I drove it.

They’re great little cars. I had an ST2 and for going to and from work and around town it was good fun , well specced, nippy and good MPG. Motorway journey for up to an hour was ok , would get 48mpg out of it but anymore than that the Noise got a bit ‘ boomy’ for the exhaust note. Cheap to run and insure. Great fun.

I got rid as needed something bigger and got a bargain lease deal on a boring Passat alltrack!
