I’ve just ordered some for my 3 series from a website called ‘Micks Garage’ (seems reputable despite the name, and they are on Quidco!) for £47.00 plus £3.00 cashback via Quidco. Not arrived yet; hoping not to have to use them, but have them just incase…

My boyfriend likes this brown one. And I like the retro new release sunglasses in your online Oakley sunglasses store. We will pick three of them. Pleases send them to me as soon as possible.

I’d not pay it, and write to them to appeal – i think they rely on people just paying them, without appealing the PEN. Does the £30 fee get ‘suspended’ during the period of appeal?

Ok cheers folks. Part of the roof rack / bar issue is not wanting to leave them on top for fuel economy and to advertise the fact i have bikes when not in use.

Kato; i’ll be interested to see how it goes.

    Cheers

    Walter Rohl – Audi

Check out this with Walter Rohl in his Audi (and the background Porno music!). The control he has over the car is amazing, and his footwork on the pedals; outstanding. The H&S bods wouldn’t like all those spectators on the stage like that these days….like the parting of the Sea! Enjoy… 🙂

EDIT: try this one…the link seems screwed or i just cant manage to stick it in here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yyVHj3sHVHQ

I’ll second the thanks for CFH…! Amazing car the 6R4, but then again, most of the Group B’s were…Proper rally cars….fire breathing, spitting, noisy monsters…love it.

Hijacking my own thread but how do you ’embed’ the YouTube vid in the post here?!

Sky say their coverage will be Ad free, so totally uninterrupted F1 coverage. I already have a sky package with HD but not sports channels, so for now i’ll be ok and not have to pay any extra, but agree it should have stayed on mainstream TV for those who dont have / can’t afford Sky. Saying that, those who watch football ( I don’t!) say that Sky football coverage has improved, so hopefully F1 will do likewise.

We are in a similar position to you – we are both out at 0630 for work and my OH is home before me at about 4. We have a dog walker who comes daily and in total she charges £35 p/w which is maybe about 3 days worth of doggy daycare, and i know she gets a good walk at lunch time and then again when we get home from work. In between i presume she just sleeps! If you could afford a dog walker then go for that perhaps. I’d hate to get rid of the dog now (also a springer). I’d rather give up something else to pay for the dog walker. But each to their own if you cant commit every day etc. Heidi is 9 now, and has had a dog walker since she was 1 and it works for us. A quick google search or post-card in your local post office should find you someone! Good luck either way!

I went for a long weekend a few years ago, loved the place! It was in December.

We done a ‘Golden Circle tour’ (loads of local companies do them!) which included Gulfloss, The Geyser (which is sort of next to Gulfloss) and Snow Mobiliing on the Glacier. We went Whale Watching too which was good. Plenty to do, i’d like to go back; hiring a car and driving round the country would be good too. Reykjavik is nice too, but all in all didn’t find it horribly expensive and plenty of decent food and drink about – have fun!

As above, the pension is not free, it gets deducted from our salaries each month. Being a public sector worker generally means lower wages compared to someone doing a similar job in the private sector.

I have quite a few pairs of walking trousers which my employer kindly bought me (or paid for..i chose them!) including the ME Ibex which are very nice and comfortable all day, the Montane Terra’s are really good, nice fitting, side vents and dry quickly, and will also pack up very small and compact. The only thing i find are the sizings are a bit iffy, so try some on first. In addition i’ve got the Mammut Base Jumps – again very good but more an Alpine style pant. Personally, i’d suggest the Montane Terra’s.

Yes would be good to see Petter winning again, and the WRC is getting tedious with the Seb Loeb show, as good as he is! Maybe next year someone else an have a chance!

Me! Going to the Great Orme on Thursday with some from work. Petter is going to win the rally, Loeb will retire and Mikko will win the championship…… Or as what is likely to happen, it will be Loeb to win rally and championship….yawn….

Yep, i’ve had more than one, i’ve had 3 operations!

First one was a golf ball sized ‘lump’ on top of my ass crack (or those who were being polite would say ‘hows your back?!). Had a funny discharge from it and it got bigger. Was a bit scared so ignored it thinking i was going to die (bizarre i know!) until one day i couldnt walk and went to A&E. Anyway next day, got the thing whipped off and then come 8 weeks of ‘packing’ by the district nurses so it would heal from the inside out. They poke gores into the cavity. It stunk, hurt and was rather painful. I’ve never given birth (i’m a bloke!) but reckon it was on par with child-birth! Anyway the consultant chap didn’t get the whole hair canal out so said i’d have to come back for a further operation to remove the hair canal. Had that operation, another 7 weeks off work, same packing procedure, same district nurses packing my ass every day. Anyway, i thought I was all done, but then I got a third Pilonidal sinus, another operation, another series of packing and so on.

This took place over a 2.5 year period. Approximately 17 weeks off work in total, 3 operations, 2 rubber swim rings, 1 bottle of vodka for my understanding and as good as best friend district nurse!

No cycling or anything over this period, no climbing, could manage a little walk. Was a crap time, but all done now. I used to wear ladies sanitary pads in the back of my pants to collect the mess. Quite crap really. Anyway, this probably hasn’t cheered anyone up; its not nice but it’ll heal one day! And if anyone has a lump on their ass, dont be silly like i was, go and get it looked at. I think i’s have been sorted quicker if i’d have not put it off!

You’ll be able to ride and get back to normal soon no worries. I now shave my ass or use that Veet stuff to keep the hair away! Seems to do the trick.

Anyway, Dan98, get well soon! 😀
