Find their 3G signal very weak where I live and occasionally where I work. Generally connects all the time for calls and SMS send / recieve ok just poor 3G. My contract is up in July so I’ll be off! The price of my tariff ( 900 mins, unlimited texts and 1Gb data) seems overpriced at £40 compared to rivals. On the plus, vodafone passport is good for EU travel.

I had severe toothache a few years ago with the wisdom teeth and they were impacting on the other teeth and gums. I had not been the dentist for about 5 years but MTF’d U and was a brave bear and went the dentist. Told the dentist I was a bit scared but she was fine. Got them extracted at my local hospital (Stepping Hill ; international murder hospital!) under a general anaesthetic. All done in an hour and some morphine to make it feel ok! Your mates, like mine will take the P**s and give you all sorts of horror stories but I had no bruising and little bit of swelling. Just dont try and eat a meat pie 3 days after your extraction – it’s a tad painful!

I only needed 2 extracting but whilst I was there they whipped them all out to avoid future problems.

Be brave and go and get it sorted! It really wasn’t that bad and since then I now go the dentist now every 6 months!

If you really dont want to get it sorted then I found Nurofen Express done the trick for a short while, but really they need to be extracted!

I’ve been 2times and love it. The first time we spent a week on a small boat and toured around the coast and various islands such as korcula, hvar, miljet and porec. Amazing places and lovely people and relatively cheap as not in the euro. Then had a week in Dubrovnik and stayed about a ten minute bus ride from town so could get best of both worlds; a nice city to see and explore but you could easily slip back to the quietness of the hotel area out of town. Go, you’ll love it!

I have a 2007 heckler and it’s a pig on the climbs, looking to get rid and get something more XC / Less Travel which will suit my riding.

I had a free month’s trial of Netflix, glad I’m not paying for it! I have LoveFilm as part of my Bank account (Natwest) and cant fault it. 4 discs per month and 2hrs of download time. I’d not pay for either but LoveFilm is ok as it’s included in my bank account fee.

they are staying here. I’d personally get the tram / train but they’re being lazy and have too much money and cant be arsed reading a map. 😀 The long haired general asked me to ask the STW lot as it’s better than Wikipedia!!!

Thanks for the replies so far… My mistake…Need to know specifically / roughly the cost of a cab for now as they will be going from the airport to the hotel and dont know where the hotel is, so want the taxi to take them to the door as they dont know the geography. Cheers.

Don’t see why you should be nervous. Cash was deposited at bank, they’d have told you there and then if there was concerns or it was fake money. Banks are obliged by law to submit suspicious activity reports (SAR’s) to SOCA on suspicious transactions but often don’t. I’d not worry about it.

Our springer spaniel decided to trash our back lawn and with being a bitch her urine burnt the grass and then it become a mini Somme replica, so we decided to have artificial lawn laid.

We used a company called http://golfgreensforeuuk.co.uk/ who sent us some samples first in the post so we could decide which shade / type we wanted.

The guy travelled from Newport Pagnall in a day to take out the old lawn and lay down a new one.

I can recommend them if you want to use a specialist company.

The lawn itself is easy to care for, just sweep it if you feel like or hose it down when the dog has done a poo on it!

Always been a mountain biker but bought a road bike a couple of years ago for fitness and triathlons but must admit i do enjoy it. It’s easier to get on the road bike and i can be in the peak with some decent hills in 20 mins where as the number of off road trails near me are nothing special. Glad i can afford to do both though!

Hello the Cutters are now part of the UKBA, no longer ‘Customs’ or HM Revenue & Customs although they work close together they (UKBA and HMRC) are 2 seperate departments.

Generally they only recruit from within the home department or elsewhere within the civil service. For ‘Officer’ grade posts (bottom of the ladder!) you either become a deck officer or engineer. I doubt you’d be able to be taken on directly onto a cutter crew from outside the Civil Service or the UKBA. In addition you need to hold relevant qualifications or be willing to undertake them, boat handling stuff, boat mechanic stuff! Basically, unless you’re an existing civil servant or UKBA officer you will not get a post on the Cutters. Competition is always very strong with those who are in the dept and are ex Navy etc.

    Good Luck!

We have an ST in work, cracking car but mpg as is described, 25 mpg or approx 230 miles per tank. I had an Astra vxr myself which I preferred for power delivery but again mpg was poor , maybe 28mpg. Great car but as someone said you don’t buy it for fuel economy…. Enjoy!

we have a 9yr old springer, who occasionally gets ‘sleep’ in her eyes, but it’s just like a congealed mess, not a lot of it, just a bit which I suspect is just sleep. Heidi’s eye gunk is a dark colour. I’d get down the vets.
