You can sync your Chrome bookmarks from one device to another however you’ll have to keep it signed into your gmail account i think…I can between my android phone and Macbook.

I think you’ll be fine! I went from an Iphone to a Samsung Galaxy S3, so Apple to Android but still have my Ipad and Macbook and they all seem to work ok. I transfer my music from itunes to Android using a programme / app called DoubleTwist. What I found was when I plugged in my Andriod to my laptop it recognised I had Apple accounts and details and asked did i want to sync photos, contacts etc…click Yes and it worked. A friend has the Nexus 7 and its very good.

I just use a 5L manual garden weed sprayer thingy (have to pump it by hand…ooooeeeerrr) from Homebase i think…didnt cost much at all and gets most of the heavy stuff off before it goes in the car for the journey home.

Sorry to hijack…Does anyone know how to turn off push emails? For example if i receive an email to my hotmail it comes through straight away, where as all I want to be able to do is go into my emails and manually sync at my choosing. I run 2 email accounts on the email app thingy!

Hold down the silver button in the centre; it will bring 2 options, Task Manager & Remove All. If you go to Task Manager it will close all the apps that are running in the background. As above, turn down the screen brightness too!

Yes do the walls, takes around 1hr to get round, some nice views too. We got on before they closed the gates for the night so just around sunset, so it was very nice.

Plenty of sea swimming areas, all cordoned off and have ladders into the sea. We got some of those booties from Decathlon as there’s not many beach areas and you swim off the rocks in a lot of places. Miljet is beautiful and once you get there you can walk up the hill and there’s a lovely lake for more swimming / paddling.

Back in Dubrovnik there’s plenty to do , things to see and go, just have a wonder through the streets. I can recommend a restaurant called Pizza Mia Culpa. It serves Pizza / Italian but so cheap and a pizza as big as the moon ( I exaggerate…slightly) for about 8 euros!

Public Transport is very good there too and handy for getting about. If you have time i’d also suggest a boat ride to Hvar. Thats lovely too. I like Croatia and Dubrovnik a lot, been there twice. Have fun.

I have the S3 having come from Iphone 4 and i’m impressed with it. Plenty of storage space and i dropped it yesterday onto a paving stone; it bounced and is working fine, no cracked screen! Prefer android from iOS.

    Yawn…

used to love WRC but now it seems it the ‘Sebastian Loeb Show’ and i’ve switched off, paying no or little interest. No one can keep up or consistantly get near him. Thankfully he’s going part time next year so it may give someone else a chance (Petter Solberg!) to win a championship. Knowing Loeb though he’d still win being part time. Cracking all round driver, but WRC is just a tad boring with him winning virtually every rally! New WRC Manufacturers next year , VW WRC car and Hyundai should hopefully make it more interesting too.

I’ve been with Three since June and i’m really impressed, up to now not had any issues with them or their network. I think Customer Services is outside of the UK, but when it’s working fine you dont need to call them, and they do have a UK twitter helpdesk for minor issues. If you’re moving from another network or a new customer dont forget Quidco, rate of cashback is currently upto £101. I got £98 off them with my new contract and it was paid to me within 6 weeks 😀

Tragic and sad news. Thoughts go out to the families of those lost and the wider gmp and police family.

Just make sure virgin is available in your area before the haggle with sky. A mate tried it and sky said “go on then” knowing full well virgin wasn’t available in that area!

I quite enjoy one called Pussars. (spelt correctly, i dont know..i’m sure someone will correct me!) which was bought for me by my dad. A colleague of his is ex Navy and said that’s their preferred choice. I like it!

Also Havana Club is pretty good!

I done the Wythenshaw 100 last weekend on a road bike and managed to get round ok. I’d not trained for it to be honest so was a bit aprehensive. The most i’d ridden on a road bike was about 35 miles and maybe 30 on a MTB in a day so it sounds to me as if you’ll have no bother. I struggled at about 75 miles but plodded on and got round in total at 6:25hrs. Happy to finish!

a friend has the Nexus which is very nice and seems slick and the clarity on the screen is much nicer than my Ipad2. Android for the Nexus so easier to do your own thing with I suppose. The Nexus is smaller than the Ipad too so dependant upon what you want it for you may need to look at that. Dont know much else i’m afraid!

You’ll be fine, but tri (get it…) to get out in open water if you can before hand. The wet suits are surprisingly warm, even without a wee inside and you are quite bouyant which is good if you need a little rest. As someone above says, the swim is generally a bit manic at the start, expect to get whacked, kicked, punched and slapped! Have fun!

I use sportsshoes.com for all my running stuff, and get quidco cashback too.

I normally use the Nike ones with a little liner inside, cost about £10 per pair. I also have some karrimor ones from sports direct which are quite good and have a little zip pocket at the rear for keys etc

Ours was £12k about 5 years ago, size 10 x 15 ft thats with Pilkington K Glass which keeps in the heat in winter and keeps it out in summer . (or something like that!) It’s also self-cleaning apparently. In there we have a 4 seater dining table and a little 2 seat sofa so we use it a fair bit both summer and winter. We did not need planning permission for ours (Stockport Council). Considered an extension but didnt really need the upper space so the conservatory does the trick!

Like a few others on here i’ve changed from an Iphone 4 to the Galaxy S3. Impressed with it so far and the battery life is far better than the Iphone.

When I got the S3 I plugged it in to my laptop and downloaded an official Samsung programme called ‘easy phone sync’. This recoginised that I had an itunes account so providing you’ve done a recent back up of your Iphone with all your contacts, easy phone sync will find them and sync all your contacts, calendars, notes etc to the S3. You can also use this to extract Itunes libraries and playlists.

You get left to waste away on the hill and die of a slow death…! I do a lot of climbing abroad so I have a membership with the Austrian Alpine Club which includes mountain insurance . Membership (which includes cheap huts) costs no more than £43 per year and includes medical insurance and rescue. Well worth it for any trip. NOt sure if they cover mountain biking!
