Not a silly idea in the slightest. You’ll have a blast and if you’ve climbed before I doubt you’ll find it too daunting. You don’t need a guide, just a guide book but I’d suggest fingerless gloves and a helmet in addition to the arrest leash. I’m off to the dolomites in September for some VF fun, can’t wait.

Thanks guys. Love the sound of sledging, did something similar in Val Thorens and can safely say I almost bricked myself.

Not even crossed my mind geoffj, good point. Had a similar problem in Chamonix when we rocked up before all the lifts had opened. Thanks

This sounds like a secret test that your about to fail. Find a £50 gift for her and then spend the rest on some shades. 8)

Nothing. Insurer won’t do anything as not much prospect of recovery from a cyclist. Driver may try to pursue you but unlikely. If it was a well-lit street as you say, then he should of seen you in his mirror. Suspect they told you they looked to cover their own back.

    Continental Double Fighter II
Can’t recommend enough, fit and forget & £13 on wiggle.
I’ve got one pair I can post for £10. Used for all of 26 miles on partners bike for ‘race the sun’ in the lakes.
May be better tires out there if 100% road but, if your on the odd canal path then you can’t go wrong.

Happend to me Tuesday night (after laying a new wooden floor Saturday). Now have to take the floor up, grrrrr.

Can you take apart waste pipe as it exits house? Thats how I got to my frozen section. Kettle for external pipe. I used a hose to suck out water inside and then kettle down that also.

    Verts all the way.

Any suggestions for something similar but 2.1? Voodoo Wanga SS can’t fit anything bigger on the back.

On a tandem. Had a giggle and not that hard. Really opened my eye to how nice the majority of people in Britain are. We rode for MacMillan unsupported and were stopped daily by well wishers, people wanting to bye us lunch and give to the charity. Scotland by a thin margin for scenery.

Tee hee hee, reminds me of the time I stood on a nest. Carried on walking to the sound of a swarm erupt up my brothers trousers. We were finding stings all day. Didn't think he could scream that loud.

Can you not just request insurer to pay portion cash in lieu? May get a reduction but belive you'd still be better off.

Don't last long, not very happy in the wet & prone to pinch punctures.

My friend just moved to Stanningly/Pudsey and seems very happy. Came over from Chapel Alerton where we used to live with him. Commutes to the Uni on bike every day. Think he spends every waking minute in the new boldering centre (which is ace) they just opened or in the pub, not sure he’s done too much exploring but both he and his collection or bikes seem to be doing well. Your money seems to go a lot further over there on property size so he was willing to turn a blind eye to a few things.
