    Get a salsa clamp

This. Solved my issue (with a hope clamp).

Didn’t know the Exposure Redeye Micro was a thing.

How do you find battery life when it’s running?

I worry about it. I worry that I’m not fun enough, or that I’m “too much fun” at the wrong times. I worry that I’m a nag, and a bit of a helicopter parent. I worry that I’m not as good as my partner (to be fair, I KNOW I’m not). I worry that they don’t “get” my sense of humour. I worry that I’m not “present” enough, what with my shifts an’ all. I do everything that I can for my family and the kids are frankly amazing, but I honestly know that that is probably more reflective of my partner’s abilities as a parent than mine.

Very much this to a tee.

Not come across this before and need some goals for 2025.

How does it compare to the Fred Whitton?

Cheers one and all. The buyer was ‘happy’ to take a refund to save return/re-listing.
    Could have been worse.
I directed them to this post which may have convinced them i wasn’t trying to deliberately deceive, who knows.
    Happy riding.

”Definitely not the standard Lyrik Motion Control damper.”

Darn it, as i feared. I’ll see what he wants to do, I’ll offer the discount to save some trouble.

Feel bad, i’ve been duped and caused someone else possible annoyance but feel i should still get some pudding.

Via ebay so it’ll not take much to lodge a claim by them and if in doubt i’ll take them back.

    Best snap of the damper is this one;

The stickers now i look at them do look flipping wonky

We went from concrete/asbestos to the tin corrugated stuff. Did explore rubber. Tin was the cheaper option and it’s fine.

I’ve an older Burley Duo, maybe a bit wide for what you need but would be great for a larger dog, £40.00 if you’re close to the Huddersfield area.

Does need a clip (£8 ish i think).

I used this, then i paid them £5 to work it out for me. They then give you a £5 credit if you buy the spring from them.

Really? If there’s no other party involved and you’re paying yourself. I’d agree with you if anyone else was affected, but they aren’t. I suppose technically it could be considered fraud if you didn’t, but I suspect that isn’t within the spirit of the law in this instance.

I meant if he claims on his motorhome insurance, not if he sorts on his own. Sorry, poorly written.

    sandwicheater

You’ll need to disclose the claim on any other motor insurance so likely more increase costs. If sub £1k i’d sort privately.

    Cheers one and all.

My hunch is no but i’m going to speak to our solicitor to explore costs and contracts.

This is something i’d just never even pondered and will give it some honest thought.

I do need some cash for a possible home extension and this would cover it, but at what risk/headache.

I’ve always enjoyed being the sole business owner. Not sure i’d be ready to let that go.

    Cheers Dicky, food for thought.

Luckily in no rush, known the chap for a few years and he’s been in the industry for a while.

@mrb123, would be ideal but not many deals about.

I forget every year to look for some in spring.

Going to take a punt on the BBB’s. Would love some Spatz but i believe not the most fun to get on/off.

    Cheers guys.

@chakaping, how do you find getting them on?

have always gone for ones with zips/velcro on the back but, they then typically fail at that point too.

+1 for moon shield x, on flash it lasts a days ride and i’ve had mine going strong now 5 years with daily commutes and winter mud.

Cheers OP, picked one up in Halifax on the way home. None on display, had them all in the back.

Been procrastinating for ages on what one to get.

Will swing by one on the way home, been after a pressure washer for a while.

    Fingers crossed.

Can’t give advise regards signs BUT, after jumping through some hoops, our council let me use my works van at the tip.
Maybe worth contacting them? This was Kirklees in West Yorkshire.

The cost of the extension will often be the cause of the decline. That or the home being un-occupied during the works. We’ve insurers who decline for works over £50k, some are fine with that.

If the contractors have their own insurance for the works (do check, should have contractors ‘all risk’ on their insurance schedule and even better JCT 6.5.1) there are a few insurers who will cover just your building during the works.

ProAktive or Renovation Plan can both do it and have a quote and buy facility.

Crumbs there are some trashed shoes.

My Spesh 2fo’s i thought were bad but maybe not.

Lefty not attached to the sole for the first 5cm and after a crash the only replacement boa i could find didn’t match.

Cleats are now proud of the sole so slippery as flip.

Keep meaning to invest in some flats/five10’s.

    Bad shoe is bad

    More badednesses

    Yep, true story.

In a similar boat, sandwicheater jnr is 10 and a whisker shy of 145cm.

Vitus Sentier 27.5 seems the best bet at the moment.

Doesn’t tick all your boxes but didn’t want to throw money when he’ll grow out of it in a couple of years.

Spesh Rockhoper 27.5 fitted him well and discounted a few places.

Wet room ones can be sealed units, to prevent dangly wires should a bulb fall out in a room with water. You’ll likely have to pull the fitting out.

Well, our bathroom ones certainly were. Two bloody strong springs keeping it in place. Hefty pull should get it out.

Ours you could then replace the bulb once the unit was out. Right pain in the bum.

It’s not ‘hard’ as such… fiddly though and quite simply takes time and patience. Depends how much you value 3-4 hours of your life.

This. Did on a frame only, pretty pleased with the outcome. Would not be fun on a complete bike with cables.

Job did get worse as the number of beers totted up.

This has snuck under the radar.

I’m too fat/rubbish at the moment but would be up for it next year.

    Starts just down the road.

    You?

@ayjaydoubleyou, we’ve a few insurers (work in the industry) that ask about dash cams. No discount given BUT, if you give the insurer dash cam footage within 48 hours (fault or non-fault) they will waive the Excess so could be a considerable saving.

I keep meaning to get one.

    Sorry guys, stroke length.

Eye to eye is fine (205), stroke is 60mm, need to reduce to 57.5mm.

Grass cut, no weeds in gravel, no moss on slabs and pointing doesn’t need any attention.
It’s a thumbs up from me.

Could trip the grass edge, bit untidy.

Bike looks great. What size front chainring?

Cheers all, just what i was after so i can start keeping an eye out.

Think i’ll see how the DPX2 rides with the new linkage first (may have just blown my shock money on a second hand Solaris).

Really tempted by the bomber but would prefer a climb switch.

Also need to get my head around what sizes i can squeeze in there with spacers/smaller stroke. Had not realised that was a thing, mind blown!

    sandwicheater

    Cheers @tuskaloosa though i can’t find a bomber smaller than 60mm.

    You squeezed it in?

Target Tyres in Sowerby Bridge may be able to help.

They did our van, albeit a wee 3t.

Did both fronts using trolley jacks as their bays were full.
