Have a hand grinder… but want to be able to grind a lot more beans – quickerSame for me, bought a KG79 in October (enough for two good mugs take under fifteen seconds). Not shown on the amazon page photos is another dial on the left for grind size. The lower collector* does have a removable lid, but now I just shake the grounds out of the ‘feed’ hole into a one-cup paper/cone thingammy.
* it attracts static, leaving lid in place means less ‘flyaway’ grounds.

…so I’d pack a rucksack with sarnies and plenty to drink.My two-penneth…
All drinks and catering are expensive. The cloakrooms are good (£1 per item) and close to (outside) the main entrance. Bag of food / drinks left at cloakroom can be accessed (although not taken away unless you pay again) throughout the day. Check what time the cloakrooms shut! The main halls are warm, you won’t need coats. If ‘my two lads’ are little ones, take another bag – all coats in bag in cloakroom for £1.
…or will it be so busy as to be pointless?
I would always aim to be there as the show opened – gives you the first hour or two with plenty of space, but never been a problem.
If you search flickr for last year e.g. ‘autosport 2018 nec’ you’ll get a good idea.

At 85 min one-all – Leicester defender obvious (high elbow) handball giving away penalty. Newport scored. Two-one up, held on well though 4min ETsandsFree MemberSomewhat off topic, but reminded me of a TV programme years ago where some teenage louts were given army bootcamp as a short-sharp-shock.
One of the new recruits referred to the SGT as ‘sarge’. His (obviously practised) retort was “SARGE… SARGE! There are only two types of ‘sarge’ in the army. They are MASSAGE and SOSSARGE. So if you massage your sossarge, what does that make you?”sandsFree MemberI likes it too – Good work rene59 – Hope it is the one the OP wanted.
RTL television meeting

As the striking surface is not a hardened steel insert, it’s probably a very late one made of malleable cast iron

Bought pack 10 Dremel flap wheels and pack (lots) polishing buffs – two sets for £6Both spanner set and socket / bit set looked good for the price
On the ‘Magnetic Tool Aids’ link they have stainless magnetic parts trays – pack of 2 small or 1 large for £2.99. (Handy for ‘car park’ maintenance.)
sandsFree MemberAs it has not been mentioned, the De’Longhi KG79 receives good reviews.

Yeah, good thread.^^^plus one
I don’t know what either of these are.
The black item is 16” wide, plastic fabric on one side, squashy rubber cubes on the other.
The metal clamp is 8” across and made of unfinished oiled steel. It has three wingnuts and is stamped ‘Footprint’ (Footprint tools Sheffield I believe).

See if you can find a breathalyser to have a play on, you’ll be unpleasantly surprised.I pretty much only ever drink at home; however, my concern is unintentionally being over the limit the next day – I’m often driving early (4am ish) to attend events.
After an associate was breathalysed early one morning, I bought one of these from Halfords for £60.
AlcoSense Elite 2 Breathalyser
(IIRC There is a cheaper one, but it has an inferior sensor and only reads to 1dp).
I’d recommend the product – but I’m only using it ‘the morning after…’ a couple of times a week.
sandsFree MemberThanks Jamie. Tried just after 10:00am – ebay applied the discount – but PayPal wouldn’t pay the reduced amount. Tried again mid-afternoon – no problem.

The issue I find at 45 is that if you want to move into a totally different sector, eg engineering then your only option is to take a punt and go back to uni in the hope that after graduation you’ll get employment.
I did this at 40. If you (or anybody else) are thinking investing three years on this ‘hope’, I would advise you first contact as many (relevant) mature students as you can for their experiences of applying for the first position after graduation. For mature graduates, it can be very tough.larrydavid – Member
I wonder how much some of this is driven by people being wary of hiring/managing someone who may be older and more experienced (albeit in a different field from them)^^^^ plus one

… there’s not much i can do to check it…Basic compression check:
Remove the spark plugs – spray some light oil in the cylinders (to provide upper cylinder lube and seal the rings).
Put wood / blocks / plastic recycling-box under the frame to raise the back wheel off the ground (whilst your assistant holds the bike).
Select highest gear – turn back wheel to turn the motor over.If it turns OK (I.e. not seized), test cylinders individually for compression.
Ideally, by using a compression tester – but you’ll get an idea if you replace spark plug 1 – and, for part of the cycle, the motor is now harder to spin.
You can also screw the plug in by the smallest amount possible (e.g. one thread, and listen for a hiss.Remove plug 1, repeat for 2, 3 and 4
If there is compression on all cylinders, replace all plugs and turn the back wheel – if compression is good, the motor should be turnable but require some force.
Basic HT ignition check:
Wasted spark ignition, so one coil feeds (I think) cyl 1 and 4 one feeds cyl 2 and 3.
Check total resistance from plug cap 1 to plug cap 4
Compare total resistance from plug cap 2 to plug cap 3
They should be similar – if not, or no reading / open circuit, you’ve got problems.and what should i look out for when looking at it?
Regarding potential: Insurance / MOT / legality
Check registration documents / Frame number / Engine number etc.
I.e. Is it an original Suzuki frame (with numbers) that’s been altered, or is it a fabricated frame that’s had numbers stamped on it? (Not the end of the world, but can be MOT hassle).sat for 15 years
Drain / discard any fuel, check tank for rust
Carb strip-down: clean float-bowls / jets / de-gunk
Condition of throttle / clutch cables
New pair of tyresIt’s a bizarre bike, but it interests me.

So just got a message from Google on my Tablet saying someone has tried to access my account from a Mac in London.FYI: I usually only use gmail / Google sign-in on Android; however, if I do sign in on a PC, I receive a gmail to my phone e.g. “New sign-in from Firefox on Windows”.
I have no idea if it’s related to your issue, but a week ago (25 Feb ish), there was a problem with Google sign-in.
There’s been a change to your Google account, please sign in…
