Additional collars can be fixed to existing rafters to help prevent more sagging but I would guess that all movement has already occurred and the roof would be quite stable. As has already been mentioned, this happened to lots of roofs and most are still standing.

The 2nd type of fixing is unsuitable but the 1st would be ok as long as you drill into the brick and not a mortar joint. If your units have a recess the back, you can usually cut a batten to fit inside the recess which you fix to the wall prior to fixing the units. Applying some no nails type adhesive to the batten before fixing will give it more strength.hang the unit on the batten and the fix to wall with frame anchors. Best of luck.

They used to be amazing at Megadog along with Eat Static. I just remember what great club nights they used to be!

The beaches at Holkham along to Brancaster are stunning but be aware of the tide times as you can easily get cut off as the tide comes in very quickly!

Just after I had passed my driving test he said ” remember that is better to be 5 minutes late than dead on time”. It has ally stuck with me and probably saved me more than once!

Keep it clean and apply liberal amounts of Sudocreme. It’s waterproof and will help the healing. My Beardie tore multiple pads on the South Downs last year and it looked really bad at first but he was ok after about a week. Clean and redress twice a day if I remember.

You are perfectly situated to enjoy Norfolk’s steepest climb from the coast road over the railway line up to Kelling Heath. In all honesty you are in a perfect location to enjoy the beauty and quietness of the North Norfolk countryside within easy distance of the Broads taking a more inland route back or head west towards Hunstanton where you will find lots of traffic free lanes to explore. Contrary to belief, it is quite hilly in places, a perfect area for cycling.

I’m not 100% sure but I recall Reynolds offering test rides at Wiggle sportives last year. You had to pre book and pick them up on the day.

Single speeded my Pace RC100 a couple of years ago after getting new BB bearings. The bike had been hanging un rideable in the garage for 13 years and is still an absolute pleasure to ride. I re fitted the old rigid forks and it is just like a big BMX!

Parenthood is taking the next step and nothing will prepare you for the incredible feelings of love and responsibility you have when it happens. It is life changing so you have to want something more. Once when discussing the subject on a mate’s stag, someone pointed out that the sooner you have your kids the more of life you share with them. I had never looked at it that way and even more ironic is the fella that said it is a bachelor and 50 next month!

Or this place. It is a bit further round towards Cromer but the Broards would be 45-50 mile round trip, easily done in a day. The campsite is great and allows you to have a real fire which is rare these days.

This is a great location to explore the North Norfolk coast. It is a bit hilly but nothing too steep and an area rich in wildlife and stunning countryside.

I am presuming that you are talking about a Genesis CDF. If so, I have had mine for 3 years now and it is ridden daily as my commuter on Mavic CXP 33 rims with xt hubs and 28mm 4 seasons using the original alex rims and cyclocross tyres for off road duties. It is a great bike!

Growing up in Wednesfield in the late 70’s and early 80’s we used to ride our “tracker” bikes at “Sideies” which was an area of foundry waste which had a big bomb hole which we used to ride down and get big air out of the other side. It was a natural progression to BMX. The area is now a retail park.

Marples will be more than adequate for the hobby joiner. As a carpenter of over 30 years, I have found them to hold an edge well and always a pleasure to use. My folks bought me a set for my 18th Birthday and I am still using them on a daily basis.

Totally agree with Tom. 2 dogs of any breed will be company for each other and help to ensure that they both retain the canine traits and pack mentality. Leaving them both together avoids the dreaded separation anxiety.

That is a shoulder plane you have there which is used to ease the shoulders of tenons. I work as a carpentry lecturer in an FE college and as you can imagine, this happens quite often. I’m not sure how they are welded/brazed back together but our engineering department have always come up trumps and the repaired tools have been as good as new. All is not lost.

Please point out any redeeming features of Smithdon High School. It is possibly the most bland and uninspiring building on this thread! Your black and white photo indeed does make it look better that in the real light of day.

Phone your local powder coaters and ask them. They may have limited colours but if you want black, it will be cheaper because they can do your frame at the same time as other common items. I recently had a frame, forks, stem and cranks painted for £40.

The Lithion’s are a great all round training tyre that have been around £12-15 for a few years now. Unless you are racing, there is no better tyre for the money.

Would have but Gove has taken education backwards and forced many excellent teachers out of the profession.

The Yew Tree on Pool Street if you just want a friendly place with great curries and a selection of beers. It is just outside the ring road, easily walkable from city centre. Just typing this has made me hungry!

Just be honest and tell him you had planned to sort it out later when you had more time/energy and possibly suggest if it was concerning him that badly you would have no problem with him shifting it himself.

I have ridden my CdF to work for the last 2 years and can honestly say that it is the best do it all bike I have ever owned. It is 3 years old now and there are many more “gravel” bikes on the market but if there is one going for the right money and it fits, you will never regret it. Mine is my daily commuter, winter road bike, it’s got mounts for front and rear racks and last summer completed the SDW in a day in relative comfort.

I would love to have a Beardie Lurcher, the perfect trail dog. My wife has shown Beardies for the last 16 years and they are a wonderful dog to live with. We have taken them everywhere from campsites to Hotels. They are the most intelligent breed I have ever come across but lack that nasty streak you often find in Borders Collies. Like I said before, their coats take some work especially after a muddy wet ride!

Hi there, don’t often post on here but I really recommend you take a look at a Bearded Collie cross Lurcher. We have had three Beardies now and the only downside is that their coats need regular grooming. A cross with a short coated hound or whippet would be in my opinion just what you are looking for.

When I got hit by a car turning right my doctor told me that it was an offence to fail to report an RTA. I felt fine at the time because adrenalin is very powerful at masking pain. Once I had come down, I had developed a serious case of whiplash which kept me off the bike for over 6 weeks. My frame was bent and her insurance paid out for a new bike and personal injury. I wasn’t looking to get hit, she turned right into my path, I hit the side of her car went over the bonet and ended up on the windscreen where the wiper mounts split my helmet. Don’t feel bad for the driver, it could have been much worse.
