I find riding with new people is the best motivation, the North Leeds lot do a lot of the same stuff and so you need to ride with a few new people, or old people, pop down to the shop (Crosstrax) on thursday night 6:30/7pm for a spin around Ilkley moor.

Its a shame that the track was changed after practice.

The lines that Brendan and Rob Young were taped off after practice, and the marshalls only told Brendan of the change to the track.

Rob Young had a massive crash where his practice lines had been taped off.

So thanks to whoever organised the event as you are totally stupid and could have had a rider in hospital due to your amateruish approach to organising an event.

And also dont get a bunch of kids to start chopping out roots on the steep sections, Again riders who can ride fast use these, after you have changed the course the lines that the few fast riders are have been cut away and you then risk major injuries to the faster riders.

Again whoever organises these events needs to wake up and become far more professional.

Leeds is where its at, a compact city centre with masses of bars restaurants etc, and woodland trails 5 minutes from the city centre, plus theres the dales and north york moors, but its the local woodland trails within the city that are best.

just aim to get involved in the local bike scene at all levels and enjoy the work

Just go for it, I couldnt stand the IT world anymore and set up a shop a few years ago, its the best thing I ever did.

ive got a set of wheels you can have cheap, they are brand new, but want rid.

Im out tomorrow night from the shop (crosstrax) at 6:30, usually do wednesday nights but been hammered on the road today.

you want some swiss stop pads (not sure whym they just squeal less and judder less), along with the straddle wires set as long as possible and to use a longer headset hanger, the length of cable from the hanger to the straddle wire is the main culprit.
