Oh and to resuscitate the brakes you will need a piston kit, and a master cylinder kit and a bleed kit and a reservoir kit, Im sure you can get them via your lbs or online or something.

why do you think you can go direct to the importer, your warranty issues are with the company you bought them from.
Fishers arent brilliant but i think you should concentrate on moaning about whoever sold you the brakes, Its their responsibility to deal with warranty issues on your behalf.

the thing about a longer fork on steep stuff is that you dont need to get your weight back, you can keep centered and let the forks do the work, which helps on hairpins and basically allowing you to go faster everywhere, I tried 160mm forks on a ride last night that I have been doing for years and the downhill sections became so easy that I was looking to jump further and ride through and over obstacles just for fun, and thats only a 20mm step up from a 575.

Ive always kept demo bikes for key bikes like the zesy, Yeti 575, and now the Transition covert, whoop whoop, been playing last night on that puppy.

But seriously, Its difficult now for a LBS to keep demo bikes as a lot of customers ride them then go browse the web for the best deal. which isnt a gripe we have sold alot of bikes through the demo fleet.

Also we have a lot of cool reps who pull strings to get us demo bikes for customers, like the transition guys getting us a blindside and a Syren.
And Lapierre have leant us Spicys and Zestys for ages.
Im hoping commencal will be nice with the new meta.
and Im going to be really nice to Stu to get me a 2011 575 before anyone else. (Stu if your reading this, Ill be really good from now on)

I rode the same peter as Adam and I have shorter legs and I found it perfect for climbubg and descending very slack head angle means you cant ride it like a normal xc bike, you have to think more like a DH machine on the descents, defo recommend the Spicy.

there is a lot of flowing singletrack within 3 miles of Leeds city centre if you know where to look and how to link it together, at least 20 mile worth of woodland singletrack tech.

It depends on how you want your forks to react to the type of riding that you do.
different people prefer different damping to suit their riding.

just set it to how you want it

So let me get this straight
youre riding in forestry comission land on a track that isnt designated a path or more specifically a bridleway.
and you find two felled logs on the track and youre upset that someone is out to get you or is planning some kind of mountain bike trap.

I think you need to step back from your own reality and look at it for what it is (Trail obstacle)

and ride as others have said prepared for the worst.

thing is JE a horse will take up as much room as two cyclists, but no one moans about slowing down to pass a horse with consideration.

Just think that its a person and an animal on the road, in the same way there are two people on the road on bikes, just pass sensibly when its safe and rethink your driving.

if you had happened upon a large horse would you have been on horseriderworld.com moaning that horses shouldnt be on the road because fast cars are held up for a few seconds.

you will find your good friends at this time and things will take a long time to settle down, but it will get better and then outof the blue and totally unexpectedly you will meet someone who will be your new partner it is a very common thing to happen, just try not to let it get you down and if it does seek out your good friends :)

Ive had asthma all my life and found that the more exercise I do then the less the asthma affects me, I now carry a ventolin inhaler now and then but rarely need it, stress is the biggest cause of tightness and I do take a while to get over a cold. Only been to hospital once with one attack when the ventolin ran out, but meditation can help.

the man is nothing compared to Steve Bottomley who has just got back from a trip around South America with Angela Mudge, their trip sounded far more interesting, that would make good tv, instead of a guy filming himself riding a bike and not really saying anything or seeing anything. a very boring programme.

I personally would want basic 7 speed but to a high spec and XT quality, speaking to microshift they seem to like the idea also so hopefully they might make something decent, also speaking to SRAM, they had no consideration of the issues around dirt ingress, tolerance of gear set up etc, they just work on the premise that everyone runs perfectly set up kit that dosent get damaged/dirty/worn, etc, so they arent considering the problems that slightly bent mech hangers, sticky cables, near zero tolerance on cable set up might cause poor shifting, broken chains etc.

just another example of the industry missing the point of what the customers want in my view.

We dont do a lot of C2W so its not made much of a difference.

id be happy with 7 speed 2 x 7 with a quality light weight set up, i dont need all the ratios i have and find I have to double or triple shift when riding, so I may seem like a grumpy old git but I dont want 10 speed mtb kit.
Im happy with it on the road bike mind.

Its not been bad, january was quiet, but then that was no surprise, February has been up on last year by about 30%, and this month isnt too bad, lots of workshop jobs and repairs, and hopefully the new shop will be open in April so lots to aim at this year, taking on a few new staff, though quality staff are hard to come by, had to do some poaching.
