    Flying

Though it depends how fast, I would get bored with say walking pace, I’d like some speed

because I feel invisible most days anyway lol

I am now a long term burden on the NHS.
I am taking about 7-10 tablets a day.

So what is the difference between Glaxo/Pfizer etc making a profit for treating my condition versus a Private surgical company treating my condition.

Both private, both making a profit and both making we well again.
    (well keeping me alive)

I don’t get the froth when talking about private treatment of patients.
There are plenty of “charities” (Read that as businesses with a clever mechanism of not declaring accounts) that treat people all day long and no one bats an eye lid.

Return it under warranty and get a new one.

I dont want to lose the BBC and I don’t like peopel weedling out of paying the fee because they dont watch live TV.

But there is not much on it I like anymore.

They should cover less football and do more alternative sports,
drop F1 and do something else.

I would happily criticise my old GP surgery all day long.
A bunch of incompetent a holes who should be struck off and I would like to do a lot worse.

    My new GP is excellent.

And making a profit for carrying out a service I dont have a problem with.
I have paid for laser surgery. £3k for a NHS surgeon to treat me.
I am more than happy for him and his colleagues to make a profit from that.
He works 4 days a week as a NHS consultant and 1 day a week private.

    I dont see the problem.
The NHS need protecting from the public as much as from mismanagement and unrealistic expectations.

Jeez there’s some incredible stuff on here.

i close mate was hit by a falling rock in a quarry he worked in, it broke his leg about two inch above ankle, as he put his weight on it, it went sideway 90 degrees.
but that was the start of his problems.

his boss straightened it for him.
at which point he started complaining his foot felt wet, (ruptured artery)
the next problem was the ambulance crew trying to pull off his rigger boot, which was taking his unattached foot with it, only the skin holding it together.
the mans a legend for not passing out.

But my brother as a child once tried to run through a fire on a building site in his wellies. (a bit of a dare)

He was rolling around screaming when we realised he had stepped on a plank of wood with a big nail, which had gone clean through his foot.

agree on the gout. but losing a lot of skin from my face in a petrol fire was bad, eyelashes were singed shut, then to top it off my mates mumm thought wiping my face with a damp cloth would help 8O

but the loss of my best mate is still hurting now ten years on.

i read it as he is not cut out for the type of work his now doing and the new manager, dept are making that worse.

Simply carrying on to me doesn’t seem the right solution, sounds like to rethink the future and change it to do something the OP really wants to do.
with the summary analysis of his performance from the previous quarters and the stress that will come from trying to fight the company, I dont think that whatever he does he will come away with anything more than a moderate settlement of six months salary.

I went through something similar I quit and set up a bike shop.
now I am suffering from depression lol

time to get the CV out and do something else.

Sounds like the company and the type of work are not what you want.

Best thing is to think about what you want to do for the rest of your life.
If you have a goal and set yourself on a path to achieve that goal then that is what you should do.
don’t just work at a company because its a job.
And if they are trying to put you in a different job then they wont give a crap about you.

It’s down to you to make the change and do something you want to do.
If you stay stressed then it will invariably lead to ill health such as heart, kidney or liver damage.
Stress will raise your blood pressure and sustained high BP will damage your organs.

So get out as soon as possible.

Ernie, Tiny bits is talking about clients, I guess that means industry.

So if he is confident in the future of his business and employing all those people then I think thats a good thing

I was hoping for a good film from Prometheus, but I feel they tried to do too much and the characters were just no interesting and unreal.

Running around in space as they were was just boring.

No suspense or horror. not that it is a horror film, but the CGI is never going to make up for the ludicrous story.

You cant blame the public when they are being lied to endlessly.

I dont think the SNP will get anything like what they want.

They have very few seats in the UK and now have the tories and Labour lined up against them.

Referendum wont happen and the whole legitimacy thing wont win them anything.
UKIP has more legitimacy as they have twice as many voters.

I think the Tories will be out for revenge and I dont think anyone will be able to vote their proposals down.
Problem with the SNP vote is its divide and conquer, the only problem with that is they have divided their allies. and grown weaker as a result.

    On the positives
    Ed Balls is gone
    Milliband will quit
    as will Clegg
    Farage is not elected.
    Galloway is out.

On the downside the SNP will be non stop trying to get a new referendum. And will start banging on about legitimacy etc etc.

Girlfriend has one and if it fit me I would be riding it all the time ;)

But a really nice balanced bike, with a plush suspension.

Not that light though, hers is 32lb all up.
Think a load of that is the rear cassette.

At 40 I was in the form of my life, running and riding, going for my 4th cat, chaingang, riding most days.
Then I somehow got chronic kidney disease and now I am happy to go for a walk.
5 years later, 50lbs heavier, a cocktail of drugs everyday and just getting by day to day.

Enjoy your health whilst you have it.

Some labour policies I agree with some I dont

However, when it comes to Balls and Milliband I can not stand the pair of them

I feel that we would have failed as a country if these two ass clowns end up running the country.
    It would be embarrassing.

But I dont think Labour are doing anything for the country especially.
Certainly no different to the Tories, when it comes to looking out for people.
Do you think the use of Foodbanks will stop under Labour.
Will the running of Hospitals change?
Will the benefits system be that different.
If you believe the spin then fine.
Whoever gets in it will be the same old same old.
So the decider is the people you choose to represent you.

So I am looking at my local candidates on what they represent.

“Has to be infinitely better than Cameron. With his elitist paedo cronies”

At least the Paedo elite are not biased to their party allegiances.

They are across the board, and you dont have to be rich either.

Do you have a long leg short reach body?

I think I am short legged for my height.

I am just over 5’10” and sit right in the middle of the Transition sizing chart.
But I rode the medium and thought yeah its ok, I can get on with this.
then got on the large and just felt at home. A bit more open in the body and still very nimble.

They are pretty steep in price.

But its down to the organiser to set a price and if it fills up regularly then they can charge what they want.
If they are not getting the entry then they will have to drop the event or lower the price.
As its a popular sport with middle aged men with a lot of money then I guess the events are quite full.

I tried a medium and could have got on with it, but I felt on longer rides it would have been a bit cramped.
I felt a little perched on top of it and didnt feel I was stretched out enough.
The Large is odd because of the steep seat post, it doesnt lay back in the same way as the older Covert.
with a medium covert with the saddle up then I found I had enough reach.

    /\ /\ /\ Really ! 8O

The consensus is that the Labour government was relying more on the projected incomes of the financial markets than any other government in the world and then spent way more money than was prudent.

Not that any other government wouldnt have done the same thing.

I think the stab in the back thing is about the union block vote, from what I understand in the election process, he agreed to give them some promises on future laws etc in return for their vote.

    I could be wrong.

I get the impression from the choice of presenters that it will be some kind of Blue Peter for adults with cars.
With all three in a dull studio doing banter, followed by a piece on a type of car all very informative and then a whacky bit with Guy Martin doing somethin with a car/bike/plane whatever.

I feel it will be typical BBC bollox.

CMD is a Tory, he looks like a tory he acts like a Tory.

But Ed is a Labour leader, he just looks and acts like a Tory.
I would have more interest in voting Labour if the Labour leaders were representative of the working people they claim to represent. Kinnock, Smith, etc, I just feel Labour have lost their Soul and their policies reflect this.

    Sancho

    really find him irritating.
But its his way he deals with questions on stuff like the leaders debates that bugs me.
asking everyone their name, telling people that he is about to explain the answer,
I just hate that false coaching crap that he has been taught, getting off his chair and wailking up to the audience etc, its so fake an crap.

But basically, his policies seem to be fag packet stuff that get slaughtered. stuff like the mansion tax, the extra nurses in the NHS, and now he is complaining about hospitals facing a debt crisis, they are facing that because of the PPI deals he and his chums saddled us with last time around.
They are so incompetent its just laughable.

loving mine, equally good doing 30+ miles or just bombing around Stainburn.
I am just over 5’10” and have a large, with a 40mm stem. and inline dropper post.
I have the standard kit, but now got hope cranks, and Renthal Bar and stem.

Really feel confident on it, and tackle technical or jumpy trails with the same confidence I had on bigger travel bikes.

Now just under 30lbs, but it climbs really efficiently, mainly due to the forward seated position and the horst link.

Been having no problems keeping up on downhill with mates on the 160mm travel enduro bikes.

Large and medium are sold out in the uk, one or two left in a few shops thats all.

considering it took them until January to deliver the 2015 models, I hate to think how soon the 2016 range will be available. November?
