Ransos, I totally agree with you GPs are over paid.
Also dangerously bad at their jobs. (in my experience at least)
and the labour party is just another bunch of Westminster cronies looking out for their own, with a leader who has never worked in his life and has no idea what life is like in the real world, and you can replace Labour with conservative, Lib Dem, etc etc.

Pilots earn less for **** sake

first comparison is senior reg doctors in ITU being paid less.

my only problem with unions is the same problem I have with solicitors, if someoene else is representing me, then their interests come in to the equation and that is not always in my best interest.

So I think employee representation at board level, not necessarily union representation.

and dont get me started on solicitor salaries ;)

A lot of executives are not in unions so who is negotiating their pay rises? ;)

Seriosuly though, companies like Honda, Nissan UK have some of the best working relationships in the country and Honda were on short weeks and everyone went along with the pay cut to safeguard their jobs, can you imagine the strikes and complete breakdown of the company if Bob crow had been in charge of their union?

the sooner the politics is taken out of unions and management the better.

I dont see unions as evil, or bullys, I just dont see public sector unions working with their employers.
It still seems to be an us v them attitude.
whereas in a lot of private sector based unions I see a lot more co-operation happening in what are the most dire econoic times the country has seen in decades.
and I feel management in these public sector organisations are as much to blame for the poor working relations.
I dont see it as political.
Ideally the less political the situation the better the relationship,

I know a lot of doctors, who I now realise are paid less than a train driver, and I now consider that a sick joke.

    Sancho

How can we be in a country where a train driver is valued more than a senior reg.

Cant compare it to a doctor?
    Are you **** kidding me?

The responsibility a doctor deals with day in day out a life time devoted to the profession, the years of training to qualify and then the endless ongoing training, and long unsocial hours, nights, weekends, not leaving until the job is done, covering crap foreing doctors, dealing with relatives telling them their relative has died day in day out, saving lives every day, are you just being a complete and utter ****?
A driver sits in the cab and shuts the door and presses go then stops the the next station opens the doors.
for **** sake, you can not imagine the difference

Its a shame all the work done by the police is undermined by the pathetic CPS and “justice” system.
Next time the police wont bother making the effort.

But theft of a cycle in some judges eyes makes no difference between a kids £20 toy and £8000 worth of carbon uber machine.

the thief will be let off every time with a slap on the wrist.

I believe they are vastly over paid, in comparison to other jobs in the public and private sector.

I think that they are paid about double what they are worth.

I dont feel its a difficult job and that the union has done a good job in negotiating the pay deal.
If the management want to pay the wages then they are the stupid ones, but based on the wages of the drivers they are paid more than senior reg doctors so its clearly an over paid job for the skill, level of training and level of qualification for the job.

It’s a standard head tube, not sure what that means.

Press-fit is just as bad as external BB for longevity.

Personally I dont consider them long and high, it seems to be a well balanced bike that is really good up and down hill, the 2012 has had some revisions, but the 2011 model is still a better bike than practically any 140mm travel bike out there, its one bike you can get on set up easily and instantly feel confident on it.

I didnt take a full face, but would next time as its rocky and the descents are long and can catch you out, worth the extra security.

If you live anywhere near Leeds I can take you round Tong.

Riding Enduro is just brilliant and always fun.
Except when its really hard, when Im stuck in a muddy bog and am cold wet and exhausted and I question why I bother holding on to this fragile life…..

Apart from that its just excellent.

the pair of them are guilty of killing the copper.
as in the pair who killed Jamie Bulger. both sentenced for the crime.

So him and another guy attack a homeless dude, then one of the two executes a copper.
Theres confusion about who pulled the trigger, so maybe a double execution should have taken place.

So am I right or wrong in my understanding that Troy Davis was one of the group that shot the policeman?
i.e. one of the group attacking the guy in the street who got struck on the head from behind and then ran behind the van shouting for help?

yeah chip out the old stuff, make sure theres no weeds then you can put the sand cement mix down, or cheaper to buy from the merchant a pre-mix, brush it in and wet down.
    job done.

Yeah they stripped it to investigate and then quoted me a bill that I choked on.
I got quotes for genuine Yamaha parts.

but I just was comparing to what happens with us when we detemine a problem on a customers bike and they then source parts online which we then fit.
I guess it dosent work in other industries.

    Sancho

    Sorry – to be clear
simply the suggestion of me sourcing the parts was enough for the mechanics to have a fit and hand me back my bike in pieces.

Now Im looking for another place to go, but not many in Leeds that Id trust.

I also rode a friends Trek Y frame and hated that too, which was such a dissapointment because I was desperate to try it and wanted one really badly.

A friend of mine got an on-one 456 and everyone including myself who rode it thought it was shit, it got sold rapidly.

Ive been prepping bikes for the past month, gone through a dozen sets of land cruisers, organised the pasta party for Friday, got boxes of gels, tubes, got spare wheels, spare bikes, organising support crew, preparing the bottles of floke (flat coke) for pen-y-ghent, organised a couple of lads to film the event, team tactics discussed (probably ignored)
and now sitting back hoping that the Alps training the lads have done will get us the team win and the vets team win.
but Hope will be sooooo hard to beat.

I wouldnt say Ive lost the love of the bike, but my enthusiasm has been up and down over the years, working in the shop can get you a bit cranky at times, but just going for a spin with your own thoughts for company is the best therapy.
or even with a few mates to have a laugh with.

Well I’ll be going with an open mind.

But I am the sort who dosent mind a few issues here and there as long as I can get some riding in.

Maybe youre not understanding what Im saying

Im going for a guided holiday.
However, if as from time to time things do happen and Im left with an afternoon without a guide then yes Id be happy to sesion one of the trails.
    Or find some stuff.

I dont know the area so will want guides for showing us some routes.

So having a guide makes sense.
but then then adapting to the day is something that will make the holiday better.
