We had it to watch Halo and star trek. Once they were done it didn’t get used so got rid. Nothing on there that appealed to me personally

you know what…..this is exactly what i was planning to do, upgrade from my halfords 1600. you will have to let me know if you set the trees on fire with it on the first ride….

I have the 1600 on the bars and the 1000 on the lid.

Both have been more than adequate for me for the last 12 months.

But when you meet others with more expensive/superior lights it is quite literally night and day.

I will be upgrading next year for something better for the bars, and move the 1600 to the noggin.

I think my previous employer was a bit suprised to find a 20kg 1500VA UPS battery in their battery bin. I’ll admit to having waited until it there was no one around before dropping that one off…

Not from a Sodick EDM by any chance? We have one of those adorning our bench at the minute…

£495 fitted from my local place in Cannock. Extra £100 if you’ve over 70 miles but closer than 105. Outside that you’re out of luck.

Which place is this? Might be in the market for one in the not too distant

    mulv1976,

I used to ride the marked trails on Kenda Small Block 8’s back when i first started so dont be too concerned about having not enough grip. As above, the stones are well polished, along with some roots in certain places so if its wet take it steady on those.

my best advice would be to use something not too draggy…

Off-piste should be pretty damp everywhere so Minions allround or Aggressor rear should be fine.

I gave my 9 year old the car keys a few weeks ago to retrieve something she’d left. 3 hours and £250 later, I got them back.

How has nobody wanted to ask more about this!?

shallower knobs should theoretically flex and move less than longer ones, robbing you of less momentum, but if they are siped and quite large size anyway they may not make too much difference. I would say it will roll faster, but block spacing will also play a part.

Im running the standard resin pad, in both those 4 pots and some old SLX 2 pots. feel perfect to me, plenty of power

Yes apparently it’s the transfer port o-ring between the caliper halves that leaks alot rather than the piston seal.

    Air in system. Bleed them

    He would if he could…..

Yes i would move the spacer to the non-drive side.

Is it a boost rear axle? Whats the measurement from centre line of seat tube to chainring? Thats the chainline measurement, should be about 52mm from memory for boost?

My fave choice are Royal Racing, but they seem to last less time than a SRAM BB, have been on Fox gloves for a few years, not sure which ones, and recently picked up some of the GIRO Trixter from a PSA on here. Very nice, but very thin, warm weather only me thinks..

If the same set you are using only squeaks only the cube it shows the brakes are probably not the issue. Carefully check over the setup to see if anything looks suspect. Bolt threads worn in the frame / fork, mount points not square/ damaged etc.

Do the same for the wheel hubs, the discs can transfer the vibrations through the whole wheel. Take the bolts out the disc and offer it up to the wheel, see if there are any high points where it’s causing issue

Agreed regards the change to Shimano.

My bouncer (summer duty only) runs SRAM cranks, on its 3rd BB in its lifetime. The hardtail has done twice the mileage in all the crap weather and I’ve only recently put in its 2nd Shimano press fit BB.

SRAM drivetrains can get in the bin…

Living in the area of Cannock Chase I have thought about this recently. Especially due to forest works in the last few weeks having removed some superb trails. (Those locals will know which ones I’m on about!) But as has been the case since I started riding “off piste” nearly 10 years ago, we lose 3 or 4 so the trail pixies build 5 or 6 more in the next set of woods.

The F.C must know where they all are, they aren’t idiots, they tend to leave the storm damaged trees down on the odd trail. and I imagine some of them use Strava to keep a check on what’s what.

Will it stop me and the other 100’s of people doing what we are doing? Not yet….

Did the home salon in it. had a good size to do as it went into the utility aswell. probably 8m long 4m wide. was a bit of handful at first due to size and weight, but some carpet tape & spray adhesive round the edges soon had it going in nicely.

trimming it all tight around doors etc. was the hardest for me. and trying not to put dirty creases in it. we had no skirting fitted at the time so edges were easier than what yours may be??

I use the regular(non impact) Bosch ones in my impact. They have worn out before they have broken. And that’s after a lot of screws!

Haven’t ridden the marked stuff for a while but as far as I know everything is open as normal.

The monkey side doesnt drain very well after the rain so be prepared to get a bit wet

    Just my 2p’s worth.

The positive side of the air spring on my 2010/11 Revs have just grease, not sure if the pike is the same. so the above about adding oil may work to decrease the volume. or just put great chunks of grease in….

I’ve found messing with the negative increases/decreases the initial sensitivity. the more -ve pulls the fork into the travel, with less -ve it takes a good shove to get it going.

My hardtail still runs tubes, I hardly ever touch them.

My Susser is tubeless and doesn’t like sitting for more than a month or 2 without having a drag on the track pump.

Even on tyres that are fully coated in sealant gunk and have been for years.

I’ve been using the multi since I learnt to ride clips.

Can’t say I’ve ever unintentionally popped off the pedals when climbing, but I don’t pull up on them as I know I can’t do it on the other bike with flats!

One foot has come out when cornering some times but I thought that was just my shite technique

I’ve just swapped an old Moto to a newer one. Through Google it gave the option to do a cable transfer or an online transfer. I think it uses the Google drive. Does contacts, pics etc. If you have a memory card stick as much on as you can
