The NEMBA race at langbgough on tees was my finest racing hour. A first in the trails, well joint first with will cogger and jez avery, but cos i was still only 16 i got the the top spot.
Then later on that day i bagged a second in dual event.
so my biggest ever results, and i missed prize giving! Cos i wanted a pot noodle, and can of skol!
Got all the results sheets from NEMBA 91 and 92 in the attic i think.

starlight in bowness, crap, but great memories growing up, going there every sat night.
cream was ok, but full of coked up nobs!

Stopped at the eurocamp site near letty, just outside benodet three years ago. Nice area, quite flat from what i remember. didn’t look much for cycling but as i didn’t have a bike i wasn’t really looking.
Benodet is really nice, but quite expensive if your eating out, especially if your there with kids.

Cheers, most of my work at the moment is stone facing, so bashing stone with a hammer wont be good for recovery. I think ill be looking at 2 weeks off, at worst. were you ok drive the day after?

I own a dh bike, orange 224, but i@d not call myself a downhiller. only gets used 3 or 4 times a year.
Used it a lot more before kids. Regular at hamsterly, setmurthy, and local bridleways in the lakes. love riding at inners, but don’t get up there enough now.

Howdens units, and worktop are ok, but don’t use there apliances. Replaced washing machine, dishwasher and oven, within 4 years of fitting. Fridge is not far off knackard. After sales is also very poor. Buy units off howdens, but find a decent fitter, and you’ll be alright

Superstar plasma fits nicely to my blood, a little noisy, but fits well.

Try the Sam houghton challenge route, have a look at the web site for a map, maybe a little shorter than 5 hours but a great route. And with all the rain recently, it’ll still all be rideable, bar garburn and style end climbs.

Rode this today with my wife and 3 kids, who are 2, 4, and 7. we can now ride from home, all the way to wray castle, without much trouble. To be fair it was never that technical, but the kids would have struggled before they’ve done the work. All the decent stuff is up in woods, or on the top. If they touch that I’ll be annoyed tho!

It’s not called gods waiting room for nothing! Check out higginsons for the best pies in cumbria!
There’s a recent route around chapel house woods/cartel fell that’s not to far from grange. Otherwise its a short drive up in to grizedale, ambleside, staveley or windermere, to get some riding in.

The spinnery do a good steak, was in there sat night, angel also is nice. Not keen on portos, didn’t like the atmosphere, food was average also. As a local the spinnery is my first choice for an evening out, mote reasonable prices compared with the rest.

Avoid the north face loop as a full ride, as pridds said use as a link to the good bridleways.
You can also link grizedale to other areas close by, like claife, iron keld, and hodge close. All well worth venturing out the forest for.

thanks for the reply’s. the one im looking at has 48,000 on the clock, so the belts will need sorting soon, something to consider when hagling the price.
Chewkw, why is the hylux a better option?
