    Pretty awful so far…

Depends on the weather and if I pass my driving test or not, but hopefully I’ll be over to watch.

Teva Links are another option, love mine so far…

It’ll be pretty stiff, and you’ll probably struggle to find a seatpost long enough, looks fun other than that though.

It’s a 4x frame, very different to a Blue Pig. Designed for a 100mm fork and 4X tracks, not general trail riding.

Depends, sometimes only 20 mins to meet people for a group ride, but the riding from home is awesome do I don’t really need to drive far. Almost always take the bike if going somewhere hilly though, so I suppose that counts.
I miss those trails Yunki, down for 3 weeks in July/August… ;)

I did mine at Lee Quarry, all shot in a day, ticking off stuff from a list. Helped that Nick Craig was with me admittedl, as he knew the best ways to describe it in a way that showed I understood the skills, rather than just doing them instinctively. I was told I needed an external moderator (someone with sufficient qualifications) but as far as I know Nick never needed to sign anything so I’m not sure that’s actually the case. Jammy I know ;)

I’ve done it on the river between Causey Pike and Stile end in the Lakes in October, that was pretty cold. Was supposed to do it with TT adventures on the Afon Ddu but that got cancelled because it was too cold :(

    I like that.

Ridden with Nick Craig a couple of times, silly fast in places where I just couldn’t work out how it was possible to be that smooth.

TT Adventures do it, based in Betws Y Coed.

Beehive in Combs has a Holiday Cottage, nice quiet village and only 15-20 mins from Edale/Castleton.

Nothing unless he turns up later… BUT my new Oakleys have been dispatched, and that makes me happy.

I’ve got one on a road descent, but thinking back I probably took a few too many risks.

Take it steady with loads of food and you should be fine. Tired by the end, but you’ll survive.

Hotel Cabin in Reykjavik is pretty cheap and seemed nice enough. Hotel Dyrholaey near Vik seemed fine too, and is good for seeing the Northern Lights as it’s very dark. I thought where I lived was pretty dark, but the number of stars out there is unreal.

Agree on visiting rather than living there. We couldn’t work out how most people had jobs, there doesn’t seem to be enough industry for them all.

Newhaven is likely to be very difficult. DCC road closures

I got a galaxy S3 just over a week ago and it’s awesome. Samsung Galaxy Ace is good if you want something cheaper.

Lane down into the valley from our house

Fortunately up the lane is better protected so isn’t too bad, only took about an hour to clear the drift. Down would be about 3 hours with a digger. Seems to have warmed up enough to stop drifting around now though.

Road up to Eccles pike will be good, been driven by a couple of tractors so nicely compacted, mind you will all have drifted by the morning. Pic of our lane today:
For the record, the drifts are approx 5ft deep in this photo.

Lots, and it’s all drifting around. Probably enough to ski in a few gulleys.

I’ll vote for Eccles Pike instead because I live on it. Don’t try driving up to the top though unless you want to park your car in a wall on the way back down, park at the Navigation in Bugsworth and walk up.
