Carbon377, at least try and get out on a sweden, we did 8kts over ground with a very reefed jib in a 2.5m sea. the owner sailed it back doublehanded, said it was very easy to manage.
My dad’s mate owns a sweden 42, awesome boat. spent a morning on the irish sea in a force 8, we gave in long long long before the boat would have done
J class yachts are incredible. The tallest mast i have ever seen, especially when compared to its hull length. Salcombe yawls are nice, too expensive though :(
I’d be more worried about stupid bikers (just some are stupid, not all) than the toughness of the climbs, but most are fairly easy, just drag on a bit.
Good = Sintered pads have good power and last ages.
Bad = They were a reet pig to fit, had to drill out the hole for the rretaining pin and file off the corners to get them into my Tektro Aurigas, even though the first pair had gone in fine :?
I'm not going now, hopefully doing the great rock skills course from Hope instead :D I didn't actually have an entry, i was just oing to do the same route and not use the food stops.
How about something from hayfield again nbt? something like twenty trees, rowarth, Lantern pike, Birch Vale, New allotments, Peep-o-Day, coldwell clough, campsite descent? then food in the George or the Pack horse?
Nothing to do with the photo but can I change my mind? As somewhere I haven't ridden very much I would quite like to do it on my own bike. I've probably ruined your plan now :(
