    I’d say £1500-£1700.

I’ve not ridden my bike properly since September. That last place is MINE.

It’s not all bad, just the middle bit. I went to the Hat museum when I was 6. Can’t say it changed my life.

I’m a no can do, can’t get it off work so close to Christmas. That and I’m probably the least fit I’ve been in about 4 years, but mainly the work thing.

New allotments is often wet, but always rideable, other than maybe the very top of the climb, and maybe the boggy bit towards Peep O’ Day. Far Phoside will be worse than Peep O’ Day, best to leave that for when it’s dry. Ladybower may be a better bet, due to it being rocky rather than peat/grassy.

That Jamie is a brave man, lending a tool to a man from Stockport ;)

I tend to ignore them once I realise that’s what’s going on, much easier on the interweb than in person. Actually have quite low blood pressure, maybe that helps.

About a year ago, punched a guy in the face. Won’t go into the details because it’s petty and I’m ashamed of it, I’m generally pretty good at avoiding conflict though. People who are clearly lying to my face wind me up though. As do those that continue to argue after they’ve been proven wrong.

C456? with a Works headset if you want it more slack?

I’d get a big fast estate like an RS6 over a big 4×4.

I don’t have a stupid accent, I’m a rural northern lad. Privately schooled though admittedly, not that it makes a difference round here.

We did exactly as above when we had bits from an old rack on a new one.

Just tried it for you, doesn’t work on mine either.

Had my Next Tailored fit suit for a year and a bit, worn daily. One jacket, two pairs of trousers. Nice cut, Slim fit would probably be a bit tight on my thighs.

953’s pretty light, I like that a lot.

I got an Icebreaker top from them a while back and it’s chuffing brilliant, if a little warm. Worn for 4 days backpacking and not even a whiff. Dries out fairly quick too.

Not really, but forks are now worth the same as the frame, groupset cost more than the frame though.

    I’ve used 2.25 Advantage without a problem, and they’re a huge tyre.

A language is massively useful, increases the job market significantly, particularly if it’s a fast growing economy or a language spoken by many countries, such as Spanish.

What do you call an eastern European cleaner who takes ages to clean the carpet?
    A Slovak.

If you’re keeping a car for it’s longevity depreciation is less of an issue I suppose, so the Kia could still be an option. What about something recent but second hand? you’d get a much nicer car for the money, with minimal impact on reliability.

I’d love to know a foreign language, at least well enough to be conversational, increases job prospects massively. Also interested Matt, can’t decide whether to have a year out before or after, so would be interested in what you’ve found with your gap year people.

Keep your heels down and get some grippy shoes + pedals.
Biker66: Clips aren’t big on the dirt jump scene because feet need to come off for tricks, not because they’re worse for jumping.

I did what I thought I’d enjoy for A-Level, and enjoying a subject definitely makes motivation easier. I’m going to do Geography at uni because I enjoy it and it gets me outside, the fact it’s a very employable degree is also a benefit.

I’d recommend A levels, as it keeps so many options open afterwards. Plenty of things she can do as a B tech too, if she prefers coursework to exams. Can restrict Uni options a bit if that’s what she wants to do though.

Advantage are good in pretty much everything other than wet clay, when they just clog. Great tyres for everything else though.

Nothing now, had my black leather smart shoes with a grey suit on earlier, as I do every day. Feet are getting cold though.

Mine were crap, the inner layer came away after 6 short rides and the tape fell apart. Have used Endura Superlites since and they’ve been more breathable and far more durable.

My old FSA headset was like that and I used it for just under 2 years, as long as you can’t wobble it at all, I’d just ride and keep tabs on it.

XT will be fine, SLX if you want the same for less money.
