Yeah I’d seen those, just wondered whether they’d be around in the next fortnight in the hope(badum tish) that there’d be a price war on them and I could get a set for £300

Pretty damn snowy in the High Peak, still snowing. A good 6 inches on top of the snow already here.

Anyone tried Stans with a bit of screenwash? If that’s what stops it going off?

Not sure why you’d want to drive with your lights obscured tbh…

Been on Slacombe’s Tamar lifeboat and it’s chuffing awesome, 12″ travel carbon seats and everyfink.

They don’t seem to struggle on the money they do get (though that might just be because that’s what we’re used to), avoiding the bureaucracy that comes with government funding can only be a good thing.

Audi’s got mud and snow tyres, it’s brilliant in the snow. Was better than our Discovery 2 until we got proper tyres for it.

Afraid I can’t confirm the handbrake ability of our Audi Hora.

Pot washer in a local pub earns me £50 a week to spend on bikes, off to do Geography at Uni in Wales in September.

SLX brakes are almost identical to XT. Deore aren’t far off, and are an absolute bargain.

Lord of War is a brilliant film, pretty grim background to the whole thing (arms dealers) but very very good. Even if it does have Nicholas Cage in it.
The Angel’s share is good too.

El Guapo? They’ll be pretty cheap, and you can sell the new CCDB Air that arrives with it for a good amount, meaning you’ll be able to get some very nice kit on it.

I got a free sample that was alright, didn’t seem to last as long as Finish Line wet lube though.

Rain = Mountain Equipment Morpheus, with various layers underneath depending on weather.
Cold = used to be a Dare2B soft shell, but the cut is weird and it’s poorly made. For anything below 0 and windy I’ll now be wearing my Montane Prism and a merino baselayer, might get myself a Montane Dyno for slightly warmer dry rides.

Was amazed at the improvement in sound quality when we started using our Hi-fi for the TV, means we can have the volume much lower but still hear everything.

I love my CC16, absolutely brilliant pack. You don’t realise how useful an organised compartment is until you get one. Very comfy even when full.

7 Stanes would be a good bet, do the Blues at Glentress, then take your pick of the others.

From what I’ve heard they’re good but a bit heavy.

I think Endura do a jersey with a windproof front that’s probably ideal for what you want.

We got some rubber mats made for both our cars, just measure the boot space and get some sheets of rubber cut. Pond liner’d work fine.

I’m very similar, or have been for the past 4 months. Got back from the Alps and after the worst weather I’ve ever ridden in for 2 days, I didn’t want to think about the bike for a while. So I didn’t. I should have a new bike in the next two weeks though so I’ll then not have an excuse not to ride. Having said that I’m going for a ride in the snow tomorrow morning.

My Coil U-turn Pikes were silent, is it just their air forks?

A4’s really are quite small if you want to put more than two full sized people in them, poor leg room in the back. A6’s are HUGE though.

Can’t see why not. I used a Canterbury Hot baselayer for a couple of years, brilliant bit of kit.

Wouldn’t ride it out of choice, but a soft rear tyre and no rough stuff should be alright. If you die I have nothing to do with it though.

Asked Brant on twitter and he said a new QC method means the 29ers won’t be here until March :(

Should be alright early on, forecast to go a bit nuts later on though.

Dual Air just means seperate positive and negative air chambers, Dual Position is externally adjustable. If you’re not talking about the forks above then ignore me.

No idea yet. Long term probably a Horsethief, short term maybe a hardtail of some sort, cue what cheap 130mm 29er Hardtail frame threads. Will have hope hoops, wish Arch EX were available as hoops :(

Ordered the cheaper set, I’m on too tight a budget to justify the extra, and don’t think I’d notice enough of a difference. Thankyou for this PSA though, best I’ve seen in a while.

Already got a pump and seal kits are cheap, so not worried about that. Cheers Doug, Think I’ve decided.

    Worth the difference?
EDIT: Having only used MoCo and never had any issues with it I’m tempted to just go with the RLs
