Cannondale Trigger? Looks like an absolute giggle. No idea if it’s available frame only though.

Finished building + rode my new bike yesterday morning, working last night and today.

Buy one, you know it’s the right decision.

Was on a Specialized FSR XC Comp, which was good, but a bit on the small side.
Can’t see the price dropping any further RD, they’re already £800. Not many left as far as I know.

Weight is approx 13.9kg on my luggage scales, without thinking about it, which I’m happy with. Might get a Nobby Nic/ Racing Ralph SS for “summer” though.

Incredibly dry on my short ride in the Peaks. May well be that the ground is frozen, as the puddles were iced over, but I finished the ride remarkably clean.

It’s fanbloodytastic. Perfect fit, tyres don’t seem overly draggy, may change when I put the front tubeless but I can live with that for the amount of grip it gives.

Just entered Triscombe, plenty of time to prevent my impending doom.

We’ve got the same rug too MrMo, spooky.

Large. I’m 6’2″ and it’s absolutely fine for me, will probably change from a 70 to 50mm stem at some point.

Between 120 and 140. Came with a spacer in the box (OEM from CRC) which makes me think there may well be a spacer in there. I’m almost scared about how fast it’ll be, might check my brakes again in the morning 8O

Our boys, Bubble + Squeak. This photo never fails to make me smile.

They’ll happily sleep on/under the dog (Springer), which is always hilarious.

Agreed, they fixed my cracked out of warranty freehub for free. It’s clearly made a good impression, I’ve just bought a new set of Hope wheels

Not yet, going to try riding it first to see whether I feel 140 would be too much or just more fun.

The opportunity is still available ;)

Finished :D Looks great in my (clearly impartial) opinion. Not ridden yet but going for a ride tomorrow. What say you STW?
Apologies for poor quality kitchen photo:

350, but they’ll be out as a Hope Hoop very shortly so I’d wait for them. Getting them from 18 Bikes gets you free tubeless tape and valves too if you’re that way inclined.

Good point Spin, some of the descents are pretty tough with a BIG penalty if you get it wrong. Lots of exposed trails, one of which I managed to fall off

I’ve just got some Arch EX on Pro2 from Moonglu and they seem good, light for the supposed strength and a piece of cake to set up tubeless.

Will do, not sorted positioning yet as I’ve not been able to pedal it.

I did it with MBMB, was brilliant, despite awful weather on the last two days. MBMB have stopped the 3 countries tour now though, Phil wants to play golf instead ;) Brilliant place for B+B though if you’re in Chamonix for any reason.

I wanted a FS 29er something that’d take a beating should the need arise, and the frames are old stock so going relatively cheaply.
Or do you mean why did I buy it even though it looks weird? Look alright in the flesh, just weird in that photo.

That could well be the case. Admittedly it really does look like a 29″ front wheel and 26″ rear.

Both are the right size ;)

Gran used to live in the centre of Worcester, seemed nice enough. Cheapish housing too.

I’ve heard good thinks about Matt H’s Wheels at 18 Bikes, top service from them for anything I’ve bought.

My Hydrapak bladder doesn’t seem to taste of anything. Cheap compared to buying a whole new pack too.

I should start going again really. Agreed on needing a good instructor, one of the one’s I’ve had was brilliant, was was less good. Struggle to walk to the car after a good one.

Nice one. Looks like it’ll be 3 Horsethiefs bought/built up on here in the space of about two weeks! Unless IA got his a while ago?

Just tried it, you’re right. A strap on mount bottle cage might just fit, but it’d be tight on my Large Horsethief.

Definitely think it’s a US thing. No idea why they feel the need to do it on my Horsethief, there’s plenty of space for one.

    Yup, £270 for the RL’s.

May well be out Thursday night, I’ll be riding Wednesday afternoon though if I’ve finished it by then. That KS sounds interesting, will email you.

    Probably not.

Edit: It’s more green than I thought it would be, not so sure the red hubs were a good decision but never mind.
