2.35 super tacky minion on the front with a 2.25 60a crossmark on the back, 2.25 cross mark comes up a little smaller than 2.35 minion, funnily enough…. 😆

tool in lockring secured by qr, place tool in a bench vice, then use a chainwhip and a long leverage bar.

i've ran saints for 5 years now with no complaints. Top set of cranks, super stiff, probably total overkill for the type of riding i do……
Me mate built his new playbike up with with a set of atlas on it only to have them snap a chainring tab 1/2 way round Ae, not cool. Totally random failure though, never seen or heard of another set fail like that, and in rf's defence they were replaced for nowt.

I work in the glamourous world of grocery retail.
Legally a person hasn't shoplifted until they have left the premises with unpaid goods.
So if the shop manager in question attempted to detain him before that point then he would be wrongfully accusing him even if he was a genuine shoplifter… Sounds to me like the shop manager in question is just the sort of overzealous power tripping middle management twatt that retail is overrun with..
    DEFINITELY take it further.

i was gonna say why not 953?….
didn't know if anyone had built a mtb with it or if suitable tubing was available…..
in that case what i said first but in 953…

if it were me i'd go custom ti, similar geo to my ragley but with a slightly shorter seat tube and lower top tube, perhaps slightly shorter rear end too, or adjustable, with maxle, like a 14.5inch blue pig, running something like 36 talas's up front…..
if only i had the cash.

fitting lock ons needed a hammer? we're talkin about fitting a set of grips here?

a bit of elbow grease is the only lube you should need when takin your old grips off, worst case scenario cut em off…
as for the new uns, just fit them dry and gradually work them on, it's all technique.

me mum drives one, you could squeeze two in with their wheels off with the seats dropped in the back, just.

as a kid i had a head bolt snap on a post while giving me mate a backie, he fell bollocks-first into the tyre/v-brake, that was a laugh, well from my perspective.
Was it the head that snapped or the bolt, i'd say over tightening if it was, if it's the actual head of the post then i'd say shite OE post, buy a new un, preferably a thomson.

Been running the stainless hope for a while, no complaints, outlasted the two shimano units i had before that and half the price of a phil wood or chris king…. Saying that i quite fancy the phil wood one or even a pace, the thing with the regreasing scenario on the pace and the chris king is you have to whip the cranks off to do the honours don't you? is that not a faff? still, it'd be less effort than fitting yet another shimano one 😆

ah… i'm a couple short, also the ones i got with the bike are ano black, and the ones hotlines mailed me out are polished? (bikeshop lost the original kit) this detracts from the overall blackness of my bike!

sorry…. totally missed the reply but well sussed brant… that is my new blue pig.
I wanted to get riding quicker than getting the pashley fixed would take so i plumped for a blue pig. The pashley's still gonna get fixed, just when i can afford to get it done properly and re-painted nicely.
As for the blue pig, well i guess you're all pretty bored of hearin this but it rides sweeeeeeeeet, even with only 130mm travel vanillas up front..

Update… spoke to pashley this morning and they said they no longer have the jigs, materials or staff to be able to repair it.. being that they stopped making the tv series seven or eight years ago… but they have given me a number for a frameshop who may be able to help…… gonna try them and a local fella recommended to me by a local roadie i know through work…
    the saga continues!…

Leggy i always wanted one too, hence how heartbroken i was when i found it'd snapped, however to shatter the dream a little for ya, it's got a massively impractical 12inch seat tube and is as heavy as a boat anchor, and it snapped……. but as vicars wife's bikes go, (Pashleys) it was a beast!
been thinking about a repair, thing is though, is it's a looped set of chainstays (ie one long tube in a U shape) so a repair is a little more complicated…. I'll have to see if it's retrievable.
