this link may help especially using google translate 😉

I have used a choke chain on my old Retrevier dunno why realy cos she was never on a lead 🙄

imho they are better for training than a harness why fit a harness to an unruly dog so it can pull harder with a choke chain hopefully the discomfort would stop it pulling

But FFS go to puppy training classes as soon as possible train the dog from day 1 and never stop. the “puppy classes” are not really for the dog but for the owner, we have in the last 16 years had 3 retrievers and we still have a 6year old and a 7 month old ( neither of which really need to be on a lead ) every time we go to puppy classes to get useful tips and training for ourselves

ok so they are not “Park” but they are £30 and I have one

Would I get another er NO !!!!!!

Why cos there is nothing wrong with the stand and basically its built to last so I will have mine for a long time and there is no need to replace it.

    Brilliant and only £30

Now on this subject I have a thought

There was a quote from a multi Tour winner who said ” you cannot win the Tour on Evian”

just for the record I have a clean CRB check

Is it because I have never done anything wrong ????

No its because I have never been caught 😆

If you know what I mean 😉

please be aware that any old breath tester will not do

In france they have lower limits than here in the UK and the approved breath testers must be NF[/u] approved

I bought several from Bricomarche ( a DIY chain) for 1€ each a month ago and they were selling like crazy with the locals.

If the locals are getting em we would be stupid not to

do a google search for either Sapin or dt spoke calculator

But you will need the hub dimensions off the hope web site

I built mine years ago using these sites but as for the spoke lenghts sorry I cannot remember

    hmmm classic/retro

well it is nice to get all gooey eyed over good bikes from the past as I did over my 95 S/works steel bike ( which was a fantastic bike in its day)with 1″ steerer and canti brakes I rebuilt it 2 years ago after it being hung up for 10 years it looked fantastic.

But to ride well lets be fair on the road it seemed to accelerate lie a scalded cat ( it made my Soul feel slow)
Alas that was the good point off road it steered like a barge the brakes were well set up and I would of been better off putting a stick in the spokes to slow down, it shook the crap out of me with rigid forks and in a word it was a horrable experiance

Bottom line is I rode home and sold it

Sorry Retro / classic [/u] is just plane backward speak and better left in the past we have moved on

Is it realy the forks at fault???

I had a friend with this sort of issue years ago on a cannondale and it turned out he had his seat as far back as possable because his stem was too short in an attempt to correct his position

longer stem and seat moved forward issue sorted by having more weight on his front wheel

    hope this helps SD

I used to use NN / RR and they were ace once the pressures were right but too fragile

Now on both my bikes I use Purgatory front and Captain rear ace combo I prefer them to the Schwables

Cheap, inflate easily tubeless and they work realy well

Hmmm I like northwinds ideas in life but

    Back to the question

I use a DX P7 Bastid on the bars nice and floody and a XML v2 from mtbbatties with lots of throw

I was out on wednesday using this combo and my mates had a hope R4 and a exposure MaXx both were impressed with my setup especially at about £120

And it will still leave a bit of dosh for “hookers and Blow”
