The reason I prefer the Honda is because I once worked at the Honda plant in Swinedoom I have seen first hand the quality control that goes into the cars and I would not hesitate in buying one

Fugging horrable place to work at though I hated it

    Why a soft-roader?

Fair question tis the wife who wants one here in devon we do suffer from a few floods but I prefer the idea of a C5 estate alot cheaper better on fuel etc

How about all the UK servicemen deliberately exposed to radiation during nuclear weapon testing, or the servicemen exposed to nerve gas at Porton Down?
The UK armed forces weren’t shy about using their own servicemen as guinea pigs,

I am ex RAF and in the 80’s they asked for volunteers at Porton Down for this very reason and I knew of people who did volunteer because they were offered extra money per test they got envolved in 🙄

Maverick SC32 forks I had mine for 5 years with no problems they just worked ( I did service them quite a bit but I am a compulsive fiddler)

Gone now because I needed some longer forks to compensate for my lack of skill

OK I have 2 dogs and insurance

But another circumstance to consider is if your dog strays and is involved in a road traffic accident guess who is responsible hence insurance

The reason for the above comment is because unfortunately a dog ran out in front of the wife last week alas the dog was killed outright and the car is a right off and the insurance company are going to pursue the dog owner for costs.

    Food for thought

Thganks for the comments about a grinder but I use a Rancillo Rocky Burr grinder and there is no need to upgrade imo

I have been looking at the Isomac Tea which has alot of good reviews

But another which has caught my eye is a La Nuova Era Cuadra as sold by Brian Wogan the coffee roasters from Bristol (hmmmmmmm there Monsoon Malibar brew is superb)

As for the Rancilio Silvia is that not a bit like going fron Deore to LX when I realy want XTR

I am biased and to be honest I know nothing about the Fluxient except for the beam shots on the web, so I cannot fairly comment.

But I have both a V2 and a Luminator off mtb batteries and I cannot praise them enough

Does that say buy cheap, buy five times?

    No 5 different items

    V2 lamp very happy
    Luminator again very happy
Battery pack for a magicshine very happy
    Battery bag very happy
Torch batteries ordered tonight not happy not here yet 😉

I have never heard a negative report of Mtb-batteries

Gillette 7 o’clock sharp for me with a Mhule R89 razor, I found with the feathers it was a bit harsh.
But lets be honest with shaving what suits one person does not necessarily suit another

Try some Miller Diesel eco max about £12.00 a hit from halfords for 10 tank fulls

I used it in my Diesel Picasso and did a 500mile run, it says on the bottle after 200 miles you should notice a differance and yes I did I felt at speed there was no need to shout at the wife 😮 the engine was ALOT quieter

And to top it off I recon it is worth 4mpg in better fuel consumption for me it’s a winner and my car has done 130k

I tried redex and tbh it did nothing for me

What type of pipe wrap/jacket did you use

The supplied blue foam jacket and it was on a cold pipe with no flow what so ever ( believe it or not, not even I am that daft 😯 )

Just to give a bit of background to my statement

BTW you cannot reliably freeze poly pipes

I tried using a couple of cans of Artic pipe freeze and er FAILED

with a proper pipe freezer ok but not many people have access to em unless they hire them

Today I just bought and fitted another Center Brand from Plumb Center twas 1200×600 single panel with fins £48+vat they are alot cheaper than Stelrad and are just as well finnished

I am slowly replacing all my old single panel unfinned rads with the center brands and there is hell of a differance with the heat output

    Highly recommended

BTW you cannot reliably freeze poly pipes and TRV’s need to be wound fully off
