Nath I use the same pedals on my mtb’s and road bikes

On the light weight road bike I use road pedals and Carbon shoes which You cannot walk safely in( Not that I have used the bike for over a year)

Get yeself some mtb pedals and shoes you can use them both on and off road and to top it off you can walk in mtb shoes ( unlike road shoes)

I want a soul to ( I already have a simple and it’s fantastic) but at £470 they are a huge hit, especially when I can get a 456 for £185.

I had a inbred before the Simple and its a bloody good bike but the Simple is for some reason alot nicer and I cannot put my finger on it, the frameset must have a sprinkleing of fairy dust on it

I did a AAA audax riding out of Bishops Cleeve up a fuggin steep hill 1:4 and I was behind some twonk on a trike and he just stopped for a breather blocked the friggin lane and made us all stop :roll:

Off road most folk run a 32/16 which works well so a 48/24 is the same ratio 2/1

Off road 32/16 works for me but Knottie uses a 32/18

On road a 42/16 fixed is a good ratio for my legs

If a 48/16 works for you thats ok
