I am just down the road in Hemyock nice area to live in ( after a long time in Swindon) I have not found much locally bar the Culmstock beacon but the Q’s are fantastic and there is alot of superb riding a short drive away from you as you say Haldon ,Dartmoor, Exmoor and Woodbury all of which are worth the drive.

I weighed my Whyte 19 Ti SS on my LBS’s Park scale last week and it came to 21lb 8oz. Which I thought was a bit heavy for a SS but it also makes me think that a lot of the weights people claim bear little resemblance to the truth

and I bet that you have been riding it for 2 weeks solid without cleaning it before weighting it so there must be at least 1lb of Quantocks dust on it and we will not speak of that heavy poverty chainset you fitted 😆

So I wonder how heavy my Simple is, must drop into ralphies

Has your car got Air bags, anti lock brakes, side inpact bars etc etc for your safty and a mot certificate? I bet the answer is yes
yet we spend how much time in our cars compared to out houses

It would be prudent to get someone to test your house do not forget electricity can KILL the problem is because your lights go on and off everyone thinks that the house is safe but I bet the instalation is over 20 years old and has been DIYed no end in that time 🙄

I would at least get the consumer unit replaced to the latest double rcd spec (I have)this is part P reportable and the house would have to be tested on completion

    Part P info

If you want to change the Circuit breakers that is not an issue (you are not affecting the wiring) it is no differant to changing the fuse as long as it is the right size

But if your board is that old to use rewireable fuses it does make me wonder about the state of your wiring

Please do not think that I am scaremongering but with what I have seen in the past ( the worst job ever I cried, enough said )I would much rather see people not harmed for the sake of a few quid

Get a book on how to build a wheel, beg steel or borrow a wheel jig and have a go yourself.

Realy satisfying job when your first wheel is perfectly round and dished ok, that was 5 years ago and I have yet to need to retrue the wheels I built for my S/S

Okay my riding is in the devon somerset occasionally dartmoor / exmoor area but to carry something like that makes sense not a packing issue either

    Anothere option

I have 1 ( from my lbs sale £110) but I have not used it in anger yet only for a few shopping trips and wood collecting

WCA sorry but on this one you are wrong by using the correct cures the results are superb if you do not believe me if you are in Devon drop in and I will do you a bacon and egg (fresh from my chix)butty and you WILL change your mind

Joxster give them a ring 10kg of cure cost me about £22 and you only use 100g per kg of meat so the cost of cureing is 22p per kg
