130 Ti 1" stem on my 1995 S/works steel rigid bike, with narrow bars and bar ends just how I used to race on it

Looks ace fast as fug but hurts like hell off road and handles shite ( barge like)

long stem and narrow bars = bad idea

    but it is retrotastic 🙄

I cannot, for the life of me, think of a more powerful, all round, resource than STW. Nothing comes close.
It's a blimmin' amazing place, really, in case you didn't realise.
Don't abuse it, you'd miss it like hell if it went……

I totally agree I have met loads of good folk off hear

As for riding with sorry I cannot tell the differance both work well

I have serviced my rev's by following the servicing manual on the Rockshox website

as long as you are happy wielding spanners you will be ok it is a easy job

forks are easy rear shocks are a differant story because they have to be charged with nitrogen

If I am not mistaken there are a few Kona Project 2 1" forks still floating about and they do have a long steerer which can be cut to suit ahead stems will clamp ok onto threaded steerers

ok so it may be there job but they are ill equipped to carry it out eg snatch landrovers

If this was in british industry H & S would have a field day, do you realise that on alot of building sites ( which I worked on) I was not allowed to use a step ladder.

yet despite the lies from MP's they are woefully badly equippped

I am ex forces and Afganistan was not what I joined up for protecting this country yes but that is best done at our borders

How the hell can we call us world police when the police in this country have no go areas in most citys

Interesting. Would this be safe with an old fashioned 1950s fuseboard?
I'll be using a small compressor (150 Watt) some standard lighting and a PC.

Now this does get my goat 1950's fuseboard and I bet you use disc brakes on your bike

There is a lot of priority issues here

You cannot see electricity and it can HURT to say the least, hence the wiring regs and the building control, have you not heard of health and safty?????

I have tested a houses where a toddler was killed by a dangerous installation the day before the worst job I have ever done. For what saving a few pounds

sorry but I do feel strongly on this subject

ok so why are the locals on the Q's going bach to or are now using hardtails????

BTW I have just spent 3hrs replacing all 8 of my rear end bearings sorry i am going back to a hard tail to.

the thing is each year the manifacturers release the best ever suspension system does that mean that last years effort was shit? just a thought

450mm is the depth the cable has to be laid on sand with sand over it and cable "warning " tape above it.

as you are aware the job should be reported to building control.

If you do the lay cable yourself I would be more than happy to do the job (leccies hate digging) as would most othere's, but they would insist on doing the job in the shed etc especially when work is scarce at the moment

    hope this helps

Can I borrow your scales cos mine over read big time
to be fair you will have a light bike but not that light for example
    Dibbs's Ti 19 s/s is 22 1/2lbs at the lbs
my simple is 23 1/2lbs on my baggage scales
