I had a trance and I never realy got on with it I did try but after 3 years I gave up because I prefered to ride my s/s cotic

With the trance I felt I could never put power down when the going got rough and I could never corner very well I guess I had no trust in the back end despite trying differant shock pressures etc and I quite honestly felt like I lost my "mojo"

So I ordered a 456 and sold the Trance I am one happy puppy now Knottie is trying to find where I put the rocket 😈 now I fee like i ride realy well and I like riding gears again 😆

    the mojo has returned 🙂

Funny old thing when I had a bike fit by Argos in Brizzol for a off the shelf frameset the owner of Argos said to me I had a long thigh length blah blah and on a custom frameset he would relax the seat angle, but no one needs a custom frameset "slide the seat back on the rails"

    saladdodger

It depends on what fits you if you have a long thigh length then you need a layback seat post if not then you need a inline post

It is what YOU need not someone else

I have a layback post on my 456 but the saddle is pushed forward so realy I could of used a inline post but the post I have works ( and more to the point is shiney) so it stays

yes they were a bit dissapointing to be close to(and realy small on the flight deck) as I remember at the Abingdon air show back in the early 80's and the second hand (ex B.A.) Tristar was thought to be new at the same show 28+ years ago

But the way it turned yer guts on full power now there is another thing

but to be fair compaired to the Timmy / VC10 (are they still fit to fly) and the C17, at brize it would seem small

my single speed is heavier than my full sus, and hard tail -fact!

WHAT I know the EBB INbred frame is heavy at 5.5lbs ( 1.25 more than the cotic)on the wifes kitchen scales but what did you build it up with??

Or are your other bikes silly light

I hate mobile phones with a passion, yes I have one but only because I have to ( yep lemming)

People say how did they manage without a mobile, easy arrangements were made and kept, none of these stupid text messages at the last minute letting folk down.

They are a distraction if they go off when driving but to text and drive is crazy, and someone gets killed.

Its as bad as drink / drugs driving

the only deterrant has to be a driving ban for say 1month if caught (speed cameras cannot see fork on the phone btw_)

the new range of nightstorage heaters are very good to be fair butwhat I meant is it is a bit arse about face to heat water to heat a house you will have efficientcy losses, just because it is "pretty much what we all do" is true but is it right

My favorite form of heating in my place is my wood burner which is apparantly 78% efficient

But ground source heat pumps are superb and I am looking into them myself after instalation it is almost heat for free

Have a look at the GU10 flouresant lamps they are very good and use 20% of the power of a normal GU10 and some are now dimable (but expensive)

    http://www.lightingdirectory.com/products/article/181

imho it is a bit early for leds at the mo another 2 years and they will be the thing to fit alas the construction industry is lagging behind the cycle industry 😕

The only sure thing is that electricity will be available for a long time to come ie nucleur / wind / solar/ wave etc

Oil and gas well there is a question

But why use a wet electric system, you are heating water to heat the house????? it does not sound very efficient

Have a look at the new ranges of nightstorage heaters from the likes of Dimplex they are realy good nowadays

    http://www.dimplex.co.uk/products/domestic_heating/installed_heating/duoheat_radiator/duoheat_radiator/index.htm

The other thing is if you just replace the original heaters you will save loads of hassle with making good

Under designed may'be, but to blame the material is pure anti Chinese/Taiwanese bullshit

    That is a fair comment

Some say my 456 is made of "pig iron" as it may well be but it is well designed and may folk are happy with theres

I have just sold my trance and gone back to a hard tail ( crashed and fell off too much) with all the kit off the Trance so there is no componant issue

It handles a lot better, it climbs alot better, it goes down hill faster and the technical downhills it feels alot safer.

So all the kit is the same bar the seatpost and front mech, so the frameset was the issue.

And the frameset I chose and I am chufffed to hell with is a 456 built up just under 26 lbs and it is fanfriggintastic and £125.01 😆
