Ah TJ you mean the Colour temperature / rendition and yes I know what you mean, a white light output seems to me to flatten things in a 2D sort of way where as halogen output seems more depth of field 3D.
I found that with the white output of my P7 torch where as the "Bastid" also uses a P7 chipset is a bit er green which does appear to have a 3D effect

I know it sounds silly but back to back there is quite a differance

"lux test the LEDS of a P7 tourch against the HID the leds are almost twice the output"

SD keeps rolling this one out but will never state how old his HID bulb is, which rather makes the test useless unfortunately. if you look at the welch-allyn data sheets there is a clear correlation between hours of service and light output.

Sorry for trying to be constructive but perhaps if the question was asked how old the HID I would of said about 4 years old and aproximatly 50 ish hrs use. I would say that the lux test is a honest test as opposed to reading data sheets ( which anyone can do but it does not allow for manifacturing tolerances) because I did it back to back in the real world ok my garden, not a lab

But of course it is of no indication to how usable the light spread of colour rendition is, thats where using them comes in, hence that is why folk still like there old Lumi halogens

PP fair point on a lux test the LEDS of a P7 tourch against the HID the leds are almost twice the output

But real world usage I can see there is not realy alot in it. Bright does not necessary mean usable!!!

What I do like is the "bastid" and battery pack are realy small compared to my old Lumi HID oh and it only cost £52

guess it is time for a ride to compare both

Last year I did a measured Lux output test on my HID lamp and a DX torch none of this guessing lumins bit

IIRC the LED torch (MTE SSC P7) had almost twice the output

I have yet to try my "Bastid" but it is equal to the torch to look at for output

If on the agency etc on construction sites you have to provide your own PPE. If you are directly employed through the books then yes employers do have to. But if you sub contract or work via agencies you have to provide your own which you can claim back through you tax returns

I do, if I did not I would not be allowed on site mind you there is no construction going on at the mo so it is not a issue in devon

Simple realy do you want the job

So why do planet x not do them then?

Funny you should say that I have been in touch with Dave at planetx on the same subject with a steel version of there sportive Ti

    his reply

mmmm , interesting , we have a good few bikes being planned , not specifically a steel sportive , which would be not too far from a kaffenback

Shame realy because I like my Kaff but I wanted something abit zippier

That must be the most sensable review to date. I have a "bastid" and yes it is alot better than my old lumi halogens but the real winner as you put it is a lamp on yer bonce, I use a dinotte 200L and it is not the brightest thing in the world but it does light where you are loooking
