budget Stans are a lot OTT

use, well I do tend to explore the limits of my performace envelope and crash too regularly

    XC realy tbh

yep 719's do look like the business for me I use 2.25 RR and NN are my tyres

WTB Laserdisc Trail, 26mm wide or something daft but seems relatively light, and is designed to make ghetto tubeless a bit easier (big shoulders to hold the bead).

good call I am doing the ghetto bit to

We have never paid a penney for wood and we get through about 1500ltr of oil a year as well

In comparison the last owners of our house used about 3000-3500ltr a year

so based on that we save about £800 a year

I have just done a ghetto conversion and yes getting my Kendas to take air with a track pump was a bitch

    Until

I wrapped insulation tape 3 times arround the rim and put the ghetto tube over the rim and the tyres are now a bitch to fit BUT they inflate immediatly

    RESULT

TBH I like laid back kit, it is there to listen to as opposed to the sound being thrown at you

I just find it easyer on the ear

mind you I use a valve output CD player, valve amp and horn loaded speakers backed up with a Rel sub

As a bonus valves help warm my house 🙂

Could it not be people running their shock too soft so the bottom out regularly putting strain on the pivot?

    Er NO

    saladdodger
    Free Member

I had 100mm on my sub 5 and they were a bit flighty on the climbs

Shame the frame died when the suspension pivot ripped out of the frame ( I was climbing when it happened fortunatly )

    saladdodger

IIRC the sub 3 was a xc almost race bike hence short travel about 3" at the back end and about designed for 80mm forks
