with reference to the previous post an isolator can be a 13 amp switched socket
A 3kw oven can be safely run from a ring main, wired in 1.5mm 3 core flex connected to a 13amp plug with a 13 amp fuse in it check BS 7671 if you do not believe me sorry I do not have the regs to hand.
An appliance of greater loading than 3kw does require to be hardwired through an independent isolator on its own dedicated supply.
BTW I swapped my cooker connection point (6mm cable 40 amp supply)for a 13amp switched socket and plug my cooker in because it made my life easier. the cooker is protected by a 13a bs1362 fuse and the cable by a 40a type B cb

I have upgraded my Gaggia Classic after 6 years to a semi commercial machine because of my love of coffee but the Rancillo Rocky remains buy right buy once, as you have done with the Classic.

Once you have the grinder sorted have a look at this

As for coffee beans I use http://www.wogancoffee.co.uk/ in Bristol

All I have done with my spd’s was to take the axle out put a load og grease into the pedal body and put the axle back in which forced new grease through the bearings . Simples

Gaggia MM cheap as etc but bloody noisy creates loads of static and the grinds go everywhere. DO NOT BOTHER mine lasted a week before it got sent back for a refund.

Get a Burr grinder check various coffee forums for recommendations, I ended up with a Rancillo Rocky grinder and I have been happily using it for 6 years.

I would advise against a doser grinder get one which you grind as required

    yes definatly

I had an inbred s/s and I chopped it in when I had the shout at a cotic Simple 26er it felt undergeared compaired to the inbred with the same gearing, more agile and responsive and it was built with all the kit off the inbred except the headset.

I had a full susser which I hated and I wanted a Soul but could not afford it 456 at £125 v soul at £470 so it was a no brainer. the 456 was always a faster bike than I was a rider and got me into all sorts of trouble ( read injuries) I guess it was a lack of ability on my behalf , but deep down I wanted a soul

Piggy bank raided Soul purchased compaired to the 456 it is smoother, more responsive, more planted and controllable than the 456 and I am a happy bunny.

Bottom line the Inbred / 456 are good bikes do not be mistaken and yes I would have another. But the Cotic Soul / Simple are alot nicer

I have just renovated (2 month of my life i will never get back )my kitchen and the beloved wanted the lights replaced to GU10 spots 11 of them at 550w. As a tight arsed electrician I was not too happy but I lost ( momentarily ) and she hated the light twas too dull.
I tried 3 the screwfix LAP 330lm 7w led lamps and she liked the light now we have 11 in the kitchen and 4 in the utility room and the light is ace.
Here is the big one though we have dropped from total load of 0.75kw to 0.105 kw
that is a good saving and payback will not be too far away especially with the life of 50w gu10’s

I agree with the recommendation of Brian Wogan the smell that lingers in the area when they are roasting is superb, for me the Monsoon Malibar is superb

But MB do not drop in there because I found the temptation of a new espresso machine too much to bear ( well they are shiny) if the wife ever finds out how much I spent she will go epileptic

Over the full width of a 9 speed cassette this would be a difference of 8 x 0.2mm = 1.6mm.

but if you set the cassette up on the 5th cog at 1st and 9th there is a mere .8mm discrepancy worked perfectly for me :P

A shimano 9 speed cassette / wheel works with a campag 9 speed gear train and it works really well, I used it for 3 years no problems despite what others say. The chainset would not be a problem either
