i to looked at the whyte but I discounted it for 3 reasons

1 the bang for your buck was not there

2 Alpkit are a brilliant company to deal with

3 my transmitter is so bloody brilliant why go away from sonder

when you get yours the bars are a wtf is that thought, just try em I like them really comfortable the best drops I have ever used.

I have changed a few bits on mine, carbon spacers (because I am a tart) ;-)

the standard saddle is not right for me not saying its a piece of shit but a spoon suits me.

I replaced the seat post with a £13 ebay carbon post for a lot more flex to aid comfort.

after this lot all there is left to do is ride it and enjoy I will try to post a picture but tbh I am PC useless

Andygrinding  I guess you want to talk to me because 3 weeks ago I recieved a Camino Al Apex hydralic  tarmac coloured with 650b tyres and tubeless byways.

Verdict it was the right move ok so the BB is low but for green lanes and gravel its not an issue lets be fare its not a MTB.

What would I do differently well I would still get the bike no hesitation but I would not of ordered a set of 700c wheels to go with it because I do not think I will use em.

    bottom line tis ace

I lived in Wroughton for years and the Ridgeway was my haunt not the best riding but it was close
But being on Fyfield Down at sunrise in the summer is quite magical why tbh I do not know but try it hopefully you will see what I mean.
I have not ridden there for over 10 years but one day this summer I will venture away from the Quantocks for a ride down memory lane ( the loop out of Barbury) and check out ladder lane for old times sake

I had a classic for about 10 years ace bit of kit especially after resetting the pressure.

I now have a neuva era cudra which cost shed loads more ( alot more) and the coffee is better but tbh not a lot.

With hindsight I should of kept the Gaggia and spent money on a better grinder than the Rancillo Rocky I was using at the time, cos thats where the difference is.

    Just get one

I have just got the park Spoke tension gauge after building my own wheels for the last 10 years.
Checked the tension on my latest build to find the spokes were all within about 5% to each other BUT I had over tensioned the spokes which could of lead to a rim / hub failure ( not that I have had a failure in the past but it is a bit of peace of mind)
    Was it worth £50 yes

I have just fitted a set of superstar Volta Hubbed Pacentis for £199 and they are worth every penny
Using the same cassette but changing to Conti GP tyres and a superstar QR I dropped 650g off the weight of my Giant defy
Does it make a difference HELL YEA the speed pick up is alot quicker, it climbs better and it is alot more comfortable than with the original Giant wheels.
    Its a much nicer bike
    money well spent

Thanks for the offer but the tyres are on, to be fair it took me longer to find the levers than to fit the tyres.
I have never had an issue in the past and I have not had to use the levers before

I have used my Pacenti rimmed Volta wheels today WOW fast as fugg and I saved 650g over the weight of the original wheels on my defy.
Either way I hope you are as happy as I am with mine just one word about the build quality it’s PERFECT

I ordered a set on wednesday
Delivered an empty box yesterday, er no it was not those wheels are so friggin light.
Weighed the wheels on my Defy before swapping the tyres and cassette over and with a change of QR I have dropped 650g.
The build quality is superb all spokes are of even tension and there is almost NO run out and the wheels are perfectly true.
The Volta hubs are so smooth its unreal
Negatives of these wheels Conti GP tyres are a real BITCH to fit on the Pacenti rims I never need tyre levers till now.
Once the rain stops I will give them a ride today but I am one very happy bunny
BTW if you use the code PLUS10 you get an extra 10% off

I have tried many a tyre over the years and I am finally happy for the last 3 years I have been using a Purgatory at the front and a captain at the rear on both my bikes all year round.
This combo is not going to change for me

    yes not a problem

All you have to do is unscrew the burner from the cannister ( not a bad thing to do for safety)and it fits on top of the burner
