From the point where the solid white line crosses the road it is a single lane.
If the car driver can’t complete his overtaking manoeuvre by then, he should give way to any vehicle on his left.
The bus driver is entitled to use the full width of the lane.

That’s how I see it too.

Me being a ultra cautious in thouse situations, I have found it far less stressfull to let the other party through in 50/50 situations.

It might pay you to go back out at the same time again as you may find she walks her dogs in the same spot.

“you’ve obviously mistaken me for someone who gives a damn” never used that one, but seen it in passing a few times.

“Go boil your head” Now that is one I do use, sadly it rolls off my tongue at the most inappropiate times.

Is there any difference between my 40Gb PS3 bought way back when GTA4 came out and the new 160Gb slim that my mate is selling, besides the physical size and HD size?

Its not worth changing it for the slim version, if that’s the question you are asking molgrips?

As mentioned above Sony make it very easy for you to upgrade the HD if thats the main reason you want to swap.

I think the new slim ones might have a quieter fan (could be wrong here – please correct me if so) so if you find yours noisy for blu-ray movies thats worth keeping in mind too.

There was talk, ten years back, so I guss its not going to happen 😉 of a 35mm digtal cassette which would replace a film in a 35mm film camera.

Guess its not a runner for a number of reasons.

But the idea was neat & I still have a mint Nikon F2 which I refuse to part with, up in my loft just in case 😉

I think this is the one I have:

    http://www.screwfix.com/prods/84044/Power-Tools/Cordless-Drills/Makita-8391DWPE-18V-Combi-Drill

Survived a few ‘falls’. Hammer is good for curtain rails etc, but if you have a lot of masonry to drill you may want to get a corded SDS+ drill. The Erbauer range of drills from Screwfix are good for occasional use.

    Great bit of kit

I have the 3Ah Li-Ion version of this one & came with the fast charger as standard, 15-20min tea break charge times 😉 screwfix were selling them on offer for £150 year before last, worth checking as the Li-Ion battery last ages.

Last load of scaffolding boards I bought from a contact on my allotment, cost me £2 a shot, broken were 50p!

The broken were fine for raised beds

For kids, one tip, don’t build them too wide, its easier for kids to work on & yes they will last a few years, my oldest sets are 6 years old and still going strong.

Worth chatting to your local allotment rep.

The old lady battering the armed robbers with her handbag yesterday, that was funny.

It’s pretty fluid – it’s usually pretty obvious what is and what isn’t.

True, it might be for you, quite clear cut, but for me, as these two video clips show, its not.

I think everyone has different boundries as to what they find funny.

    Just curious, that’s all.

    s

    OK to clarify:

    Cat – not funny

    Ostrich donkey kid – funny

Now becoming a bit curious as to where things stop being funny and become not funny?

I think we need more videos to to get a more accurate idea of where everyone falls on this subject?

    😉

Where is the ostrich donkey kid vid for comparison?

Not true. Too low an iso on shutter priority the camera will go ahead and take the image and it’ll be under exposed, which you may well be able to salvage. Too high an iso and you may get more noise than you want but otherwise acceptable image. Again, if you have the raw you have more latitude to salvage it.

5thElefant – You cannot change the iso settings in RAW once taken, or for that matter the shutter or apature settings, they are not adjustable!

Sure you can play around with the RAW file exposure but thats not the point I was making.

Where have you been? We have been missing you 😉

    s

I’m talking about a safety net here. People make mistakes. Ever leave a camera on the wrong iso?

Correction, the aperture & shutter speed and the ISO are all parameters that must be set correctly at the time you take your shot, you cannot exactly recreate the effects of a different setting in post processing.

Many years back, JC overtook me in a nice red sports car, when I used to commute to work in Cheltenham.

Wish all the other car owners in Che. gave me the same amout as space as he did when he passed.

He is playing a part on TG & playing it well if you ask me 😉
