Perhaps not massively helpful given that it’s a different model, but the car has definitely exceeded my expectations

Bikes do go missing, I would avoid leaving anything interesting outside and lock it up inside your lodge, not that that offers much more protection 😉

Not sure if they still do, but years back CP customer services (guy was a fellow mtber on reception)gave me a key to borrow to a gate alongside one fence, which lead to a few zig zaging trails, nothing mad, but fun to ride.

Snaps that is brill, what a great idea having a sign saying you ‘can’ rather than cannot.

Is that footpath the one that takes you on the clunker classic, Porlock Hill?

Just to say you don’t have to involve HETAS. I was quoted 2K just to line the chimney and fit the thing from two HETAS guys near me. It actually cost me £1500 including knocking out the chimney breast, plastering inside, new hearth, liner, stove etc.

I did this by doing my homework on the regs, then getting it fitted by a competent builder and signed off by the local authority. None of it is rocket science if you take the time to read Part J of the Building Regs and work out what you need – its all pretty straightforward stuff.

Its a good and valid point martinhutch, I have not looked into the regs that much TBH, I am only going on what my home insurance company seem to want if I have one fitted.

But I think I might look it this a bit further, thanks for the tip.

Bit of a numpty question, sorry in advance:

Going from 100mm to say 120-130mm on that frame, will it make the handling twitchier?

I always get a bit confused which way makes the handling twitchier?

I’ve turned my bike computer off now as I was constantly trying to beat my time resulting in a sweaty broken mess when I got to work, trying to pace myself now, my only worry is I’m less bothered about weekend riding now so will have to rectify that

    Hmmm, the commuting curse!

Summer sun normally cures it mind 😉

Do Nuke Proof come with a weight limit?

    Second hand Pace RC-31’s?

Whichever you go for, I found the 440mm felt better than the 420mm.

I had tickets for his gig here in the UK, then got a letter from his managment saying how keen he was to come play here in the UK and don’t belive the rumors in the press, they are all wrong.

Then two weeks latter he tots himself!

Time to get the Vinyl out I think 😉

There needs to be a warning on this thread!

Many, many years ago, this poster/pic had a prized place on my wall at home.

Years of wondering, oggling, sheet shuffling…….

Do I want to know what she looks like now – hell no!

Please, please, leave the dream in tack and put a warning up there as I am sure I am not the only one.

Just cost me £90 to patch a 10cm hole in front wheel arch on my Mrs Mazda 323!

Granted a few years older than your Focus legend, but correct me if I am wrong, I thought the Mazda 323 was based on the Focus!

Still very unexpected, car looks mint from the outside & had been serviced as required, hell its only done 40k!

The factory I worked in had the heat exchangers outside. I pointed out that in winter it would be better to use the heat to heat the offices rather than the outside air but the engineer in charge just gave me a dirty look.

    LOL
