At the end of the day funerals cost alot more than bikes.

Not sure how old your parents are gnusmas, my Mum manages with one I bought her, but some of the buttons and menu options are a bit on the small/geeky side with the Panasonic, worth trying out before you buy.

Check out the Panasonic TZ range

High street price for the TZ8 seems to be around £150, lot cheaper online mind 😉

    Great camera for the price.

Or have a look at the Canon Ixus range too..

Have you ever felt the effects of pepper spray?

Chance are you will get it in your eyes too & that will limit how fast you can cycle/run away from the situation 😉

Avoid all the hero talk here, avoid the location if its not safe to ride.

I have some tickets for the olympics (MTB) that are potentially unwanted.

Its all rather confusing as to whether you can sell them or not (I wouldn’t sell for more than face value) following the crash of the website that was supposed to enable this.

I have 4 tickets that all have my name on them anyway, so surely it doesn’t make a difference if I sell them to someone and they go instead as the other people with me would have a ticket with my name on!?!?

Anyone else got unwanted tickets? What are you doing with them?

So you have had yours sent to you?

    Hmmmm, still waiting for mine?

I could do, but dont think it will help stopping them call?

Would not mind so much if they were not calling at our peak time for calls!

Maybe its time to get a phone with caller id 😉

TELL HIM TO MAN UP AND BUY A SKATEBOARD.

Just hitting that goal post this year at 9 and I thought scooters were expensive…..

Now when they hit six, the story changes, expect your expensive plastic mini micro to be flung into the depth of the shed to be never seen again until eBay dad gets his hands on it in favor of a proper two wheeled ankle slicer 😉

    Put it this way…….

Stick a varied selection of scooters out for a group of kids to fight play with in our garden

Feed a group of 4 year olds a selection of sugar based products, then, open the door to the garden and let the hords of 4 year olds run to their choice of weapon scooter and the mini micro win every time……and I do mean every party time!

She explained how she had lived on ‘just necessities’ for a year, although she considered a $70 (£35) haircut a necessity. What a cheat

    Anyone tried this?

No worries Phil, to lose some 3 stone, since last summer is a great achievement too. 🙂

I only stopped because the gym we used went bust and the instructor there who was guiding us on MMF, left to become a traffic warden of all things! 😉

hmmmm surely its down to personal motivation and not a “need”?

I would not use the MMF training techniques with freeweights, without a partner imho.

I will see if I can find my old pdf plan, that I can email you, which gives you the very basics.

Its worth having a look at his books on food nutrition (not diet) too, the two go together tbh.

My goal was to lose weight, but you can adapt it to your particular needs.

You will also need a training partner, I lost two stone in two years, and my training partner gained a stone (he wanted to gain).

Belgians are great. Nice contrary mix of shambolic artistic random french-ness with dutch/germanic orderliness.

Plus you can buy a Beer on Sunday 😉

Do they still have communal showers?

That was a big eye opener for me, when I used to go on tour playing in a mixed hockey team 😉

[edit] great place and people, the nightlife culture back then was also very different to back home, hope that has not changed either.

Look up momentary muscle failure training.

If you have a partner to train with, using freeweights and this system, working the core muscles, can achive gains with very short training sessions.

Squats, bench presses, Dead lifts, etc..

Get good advice on using the correct technique and posture, which is very important.

I used this system of training, for 20min, twice a week, for over two years, using Mike Mentzer’s guides.

Made a hell of a difference for me, helped my core streanth no end which in turn helped my riding.

Hmmm, not a simple answer then, darn!

Trying to order some custom made ones for a club, I new it was not going to be simple task.

Looks like I might have to go round with a tape measure 😉

Thanks for all the comments above btw.

Been doing a after work summer Friday beer bike ride now for the last 4 years.

Each rider has a chance to plot a route, only two rules, must contain some off road and the Pub must serve Real Ale, seems to work.

Started with 4 riders, now we have a group of 8-12 turn out every week, group split 50/50 between real ale drinkers and bikers quite a odd mix, but it works really well.

Great way of finding good local singletracks and some decent beer gardens 😉

Ive got to agree with some of the comments up there.

I held the lap record at my local karting track for quite a while, and I passed my test with only 2 minors, so I know Im a decent driver.

I only drive an old Honda Civic, yet I seem to regularly get stuck behind families in BMW’s on the popular tourist roads in the lakes. I cant understand why these people dont want to drive like a **** like I do, especially when they’re on holiday with their families. I would have thought the fact that they’re such good “drivers cars” would encourage the owners to drive like a ****.

    Are you for real? 😯

St Lucia now, is what Barbados was like 10-15 years ago, if you know what I mean 😉

A great island to visit mind.

Did not strike me as a chav island in any way, well not like Barbados, Domin, Jam, which we have also stayed.

We loved St Lucia, worth going just to see the Pitons alone. We did a short island flight to sail round the Grenadines islands which is not far away, amazing in every way, flight is a real roller coaster of a landing too 😉

Some great spots/beaches if you are prepared to travel outside your hotel.

Saying that, of all the islands we have been, Cuba would be top of our list to go back too, Havana is simply amazing, link it in with a week stay at Varadero, you get a week on the beach, plus a week in Havana 😉
