Idless Woods is close, check out the trails on the trailforks app ,this time of year it can get a bit moist in there but the top line should still be running fine .

I’ve got a 2019 process 153 29 al which up until black Friday was “my best bike ever”. I had the old kona 134 previous to that and kona pretty much rectified the only fault of that model in that it climbed like a sack of spuds, whilst still keeping all the good things and downhill ability. Alas tho intense UK did some crazy deals on their carbine model on black Friday (£1730 foundation build) then upgraded me to the SL frame free of charge .In my opinion the carbine is a better all round bike but definitely has a different character in so much it wants to go fast all the time uphill as well as down ,whereas the process just is just a bit better for pissing around on but slower everywhere according to strava and sounds like i do a similar sort of riding to the OP .finally weight difference between the two was nearly 3lbs with the same build kit
31.4 vs 34.2 .if your a medium cookci I could do you a sweet deal ;)

Email sent. 173cm and 100kg after putting back on the 15kg I lost a few years ago. ebikes smoking and a penchant for cream cakes were my downfall. E bike sold and back on the vaping just need a kick up the backside every now and again from the Stw collective.

My comment wasn’t a criticism of cotic’s bikes or engineering merely an observation of their recent marketing. I’ve read the newsletter for years and owned or ridden most of their recent bikes and loved them.I was just surprised they used the same marketing twaddle all the other companies use :D I thought cotic were cooler than that 8)

Talking about cotic’s marketing of late they have definitely changed tack a bit a few years ago it was #26aintdead “no need for thru axles” etc where as now the latest Bfe is advertised as “longer lower slacker” :? I must admit they no longer seem to be the brand I thought they were and this is from someone who’s owned 5 of their previous models

So it seems they have sorted their listings out now and are still listing the 29er 34 perf grip 130mm at €280 so another set ordered based on Andy’s success and this time correct confirmation email has come through .fingers crossed for next week

So which ones did you actually get Andy? rhythm (grey stanchion) or performance (black stanchion)

I ordered the 130mm 29er boost grip performance at €280 when I first saw this psa ,when i got the second confirmation email they described them as rythym perf grip so I gave them a quick call and it turns out fox had given them the wrong listings as the fork was the basic rythym :( .order duly cancelled and money safely refunded for me to waste on summit else black and shiney

More of a worry is the lack of a new Segment so far.

don’t worry about the segment it’s being replaced by a model called the stage4 in november

Thanks peeps for the thumbs up on my bikes its nice to see I’m not the only one with a bit of a cotic addiction!
After having a few bfe’s in various colours I thought I had built my perfect pair of bikes with the escapade and a rather nicely specced rocket … well that was until they released the solaris max and then metalheart ordered his and cotic posted pics of it on social media ..damn you lol
I’m now the 6th person in my group of riding buddies to own a Solaris all built up in very different ways, it just shows you how versatile the frame is.
Mine with the plus tyres is a bit of a hooligan of a bike and after seeing Kayla could fit 26×2.8’s in the back of her flare I’m getting another wheelset made up for my rocket to make a mini-max rocket ,hopefully will have it sorted by the middle of next week and will post some pics up when it’s done :D

Yep got mine built up at the weekend using a cheap/heavy set of mavic xm319 on deore hubs and the horizon 47c’s ,took it for a blast down the camel trail in Cornwall and was pleasantly surprised at how well it handled both on and off road .Will try and post a few pics up in the next few days

@weeksy the 15mm axle on suntour fork’s is called q-loc ,you need to turn that spacer thing a 1\4 turn whilst it’s pushed in that will lock it place so you can remove it from the fork without it catching
