On the nukeproof website if anyone’s interested. http://nukeproof.com/products/scout-frame/

Also! The bloody seattube lengths differ between the features/geo tables! Wouldn’t last a minute in my place 🙂

The geo looks great… How can they manage to put the frame online without the geo?

Is there anything that could really prepare you for a mass start DH race? (Aside from another one)

Must admit I’ve been in the camp for a do it aller. Currently have two bikes in the fold, my YT Tues and my Cotic BFe. The Tues handles DH days and the BFe does anything else.

I’ve been thinking of getting an Enduro 29 for the everything factor, but then I think about how monster trucky and floaty the DH bike is. With 29er wheels and 160mm travel I don’t believe it’ll feel any less plush…

Essentially all I can think of is get yourself a demo day at a local spot and see how it goes on a few different bikes. I want something more capable than my BFe but the lesser travel bikes they’re churning out at the moment look way too flimsy for what I want it for!

I have no idea how to. As I’m a wimp and too scared to try. When I watch people though it seems to all be in the bars/hips.

http://www.spareroom.co.uk/ – best place to look.

airbnb.com – if looking for something short term.

Not only that! Mine was horribly flimsy and fell to bits when I crashed. Gone for a Zee bar mount now

I’m pretty sure I’ve heard people say that zee is just SLX but short cage-able.

You can’t find anything from Evans? Do they surely not have possibly the greatest variety of stock?

I have many pics, none of mine though. Pics of me 🙂

I don’t even want to make a £1 offer on the off chance he accepts and I have to pay the £150 postage!

Jealous! I’ll be keeping my OG Tues for some time but if it breaks I have no doubts on what I’d get to replace it.

Sounds like I shouldn’t be knocking it aside without sitting on one (no pun intended).

Just been in the bike shop and sounded like they’d do me a covert/bandit 29 when the new ones drop with pikes for around £1800.

I bought an SLX groupset (individually) the drivetrain parts are awesome although I went for the XT cassette due to it having an ali body. If I was to buy again though I wouldn’t go for the SLX shifter again, I came from using an XTR shifter and it just feels crap.

The only thing wrong with it is the cost of keeping it going. £400 for a cassette + chain vs £50 for shimano ten speed xt. And the mech, imagine the bill if that thing goes astray!

I think I heard someone say they changed one, wouldn’t know which one though!

Absolutely shattered, not doing that on a hardtail again.

SO much fun on a HT!

As far as I know there’s always been a 650 option?

    Yes Suggsey!

I’d buy it if I had the money, you’d get a fair few quid for it I think. There was someone who was trying to sell me a 20″ 2010 Alpine for £650, so think of what you could try charging for that!

At 20″ it can be a long comfy frame for the shorters and something nice and playful for me at 6’5″. 🙂

I’ve been as a child and quite a few times more recently. It can be a nice day/weekend out. Have friends who live there, they seem to enjoy it, can’t seem to shake the feeling that they live there because they have to though (jobs wise).

Annoying because there are a fair few IT jobs going down there, which doesn’t particularly make sense, as we tend to be able to work from anywhere :). I know I couldn’t do it because I want to be able to put emphasis on doing what I want with my free time now that I’m free to lead my life post Uni.

I’ll be there on my HT too! A pink BFe.

DC linked her FB profile. The hilarity is that her job title was something to do with social media, would have thought she’d understand how things like this work.

    Dianese trail skins = Perfect.

Going to get the matching knees when I’ve next got some money.

I bought them, and the kneepads. The kneepads are awesome. The elbowpads have been sent back to CRC after them falling to pieces after my first crash, the sleeve bit seems to be made out of the same material as non-bounty kitchen roll.

Do you really think they’re two of the same kind? I personally wouldn’t compare them against eachother.

Theres no BOS anywhere on that YT.

I personally don’t rate the after sales stuff with YT too highly, if you think you’ll be needy after you’ve bought it go with canyon.

It depends what speeds I’m doing. If I’m going around 30 miles per hour their fine. If I then accelerate up to 30 miles per wolf hour I can notice the lack of performance yesterday.

Does it still happen when you use another OS? Have you checked your logs? (Windows). Years ago I had it happen to me on Win7 because the OS couldn’t control power correctly so had to tweak the power settings in the BIOS.

If they drop out with ease, then there’s no point in spending money on new bearings.

What about them dropping out with ease makes the bearings OK? (Genuine question)

If you need to argue with yourself about it: Surely now is the time as everyone’s wanting the fashion size wheels? Get one before they become a rarity.

I got the double SLX for my Raceface NW ring. Much better chainline on my MK2 Soul. On a tripple I had about 0.5mm between the teeth and the chainstay. Now I have 3mm

I’d like to take that as being the same for my BFe then 🙂

To throw another spanner in the works, I used Gary Bevan coatings in Glossop. They do hundreds a year apparently. I never got mine lacquered afterwards like I promised myself :O. They did an ace job on the powder coating.
