Not CRC, Middleburn will no longer be supplying them as CRC were buying single speed rings and selling them as sets. This is why they were cheaper but didn’t get good shifting reviews.

LBS were a decent price for me but my mate bought direct last time

Bit of J.G. Ballard perhaps? Cocaine Nights would be a good start.

I’m revisiting Jeeves and Wooster at the moment, which are light but very funny and well written.

I think he’s said it all, he wanted to win it and now he has he’d rather not make all the life sacrifices that go with taking part in the TdF. I don’t think his career is over, he said he will compete in other tours (Poland and England) and he is still an incredible time trial racer.

Ask him for a full resolution copy?

I know Middleburn are. The reason the ring sets were cheaper on crc is because the were buying the cheaper single speed/non-slickshift rings and selling them as sets. Pissing off a few people.

Agree black cabs are pretty reasonable, only had a couple iffy cab drivers

Watch out for Addison Lee as above and this symbol:

They seem to be trying to take me out at the moment, glad it’s not just me with Addison Lee!

Edit: 2bit’s advice is spot on, personally I like to get infront of buses where possible, can’t see anything sat behind them and they chuck out a lot of fumes.

Maybe I was a tad harsh, the first act was fine, the origin and first contact worked well. The problem is I was so bored with the last act the bits of my mind that think about this crap had time to.

Thought it was terrible, very disappointed. Way too much CGI and shaky cam, felt I was watching someone else play a computer game with great graphics but I couldn’t join in. Plot was minimal and didn’t make sense most of the time, Amy Adams was popping up everywhere with minimal explanation, sometimes none. I did think it was well cast but they just didn’t make use of any of the actors.

Before, I thought Zach Snyder got undeserved criticism (Watchmen was/is always going to be impossible to make into a film) but after after watching that I don’t think he should be allowed to direct again.

Poor Nolan, I just hope they don’t make a Justice League film.

Brakes – I know exactly where you mean (is that still summer lightning?), the 711mm bars did just fit through but would not want to go much wider through there.

Got sucked in to the wide bar trend as I’ve quite broad shoulders and bought some Easton haven carbon bars at 711mm (not even that wide), tried them for two rides and put my 685mm bars back on. Didn’t enjoy the wider bars while climbing, they were slightly better on the the descents but as I seem to spend 3 times longer climbing than descending I decided to revert back.

Mildly expensive experiment, up for sale soon.

I also get the thing with sometimes no response to turning off. I think it is the red LED thing confusing it. pulling that out and putting it back in seems to fix it.

Emailed exposure (who responded quickly) and said it could be just a weak contact, I now press firmly and it responds every time, slightly annoying you can get an audible click and nothing happens but I can live with it.

rwc03 – double press to turn on, press & hold to turn off (that’s how my Diablo works anyway)

Woody- Always turns on but when I hold it down it sometimes doesn’t respond not sure if that’s normal or there’s something wrong with the button or board – have emailed exposure.

Joystick arrived today in nice case, just need a helmet mount and rechargeable batteries for the rear flare light now.

Only issue is the joystick takes a little while to respond to the button. Hold it down and nothing happens sometimes – is this normal?

Rumours are that they’re going to listen to customer demand and put the start button back and give a boot to desktop option in a release later this year – hold out if you can stick with it for a few months

Definitely doesn’t feel like any air in the system. I can ride along like this for a while and until I wash them out I won’t have full power – can’t work it out

It is a dry lube, just not as volatile as something like rock n roll. Slightly stickier and a bit more resistant to water. I use on long trips and when it’s a bit wetter but prefer rock n roll this time of year

Not really difficult to apply, less than a minute. Lives up to the stealth name, smooth and quiet but does pick up slightly more dirt than a good dry lube such as rock n roll although definitely lasts longer than rock n roll

Can’t decide, the Hope has all the mounts but the exposure sounds like a better light. Any opinions/experience?

Can I have a vent too. End of 3rd year here and similar feelings of doubt but too late for me to quit now! Just lost faith in the work I’m doing and resent my supervisor for talking me into it when I should have gone to a more respected university and done a Master’s.

You’re better taking advice from someone who has come out of the tunnel but my advice would be to leave now if you’re not interested in the indusrty and as above use your time to see what’s out there. One year out isn’t a long time really

    This is good for £35:

Screw-drivers are junk as usual and cone spanners are too small for Shimano hubs but other that it’s pretty good.

£75 is for the new 10 speed shadow plus version which won’t work with 9 speed shifters.

If you put up a wanted ad you should be able to pick up a decent condition 9 M772 speed mech for £30ish, if not a good nick xtr version for £40. LBS price not bad though for a new m772

£230 on Amazon, sounds great with 92(!) Nm of Torque but way off budget for me.

Looks like £200ish for a metal chuck

Bought some hopes only due to the sexiness of them, lasting well so far but not the cheapest
