Mine’s just broadband but I was pretty annoyed by this too. BT faffed me around for 6 weeks before they decided they couldn’t repair the old line. Virgin was the only option. As you say it’s a small amount but annoying after you’ve worked out annual costs.
Can’t be bothered to argue, I’ve spent half a day of this year on the phone to broadband companies and I don’t want to add even a minute to that time.

To be fair this guy really knows what he’s talking about, it’s got disc brakes and leather.

Looking forward to it. Any idea when the tickets are going to become available?

Out of chance last year we ended up in St. James Park

The view was still good and a lot less busy than Embankment.

You can’t stand on the bridges but can look down the lake.

In that case LG G2 (brother of Nexus 5 with a much bigger battery) or Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Hadn’t even considered it but just checked out the reviews and they’re very positive, thanks for the recommendation.

I’m charging my one x two or three times a day, so once a day would be an improvement. Still it would be nice if one phone company would release a phone which lasts longer than a day.

Rumours are the camera might be slightly improved with a software update.

How’s the battery life? My One X is on it’s last legs, I like the phone but battery life is on the poorer end of the scale. The nexus doesn’t sound much better though.

Is this news? I thought it had previously been published, but maybe not the names.

It’s not right but it does sound like targeted killing of some nasty people rather than indiscriminate bombing.

You probably want a dietitian not a nutritionist but I may be wrong. Can ask a dietitian for you if so.

Anyone watch the Storyville on Kim Philby[/url]?

Found it all very depressing, an alcoholic who seemed to completely neglect his family.

Wouldn’t be surprised if SIS directly tipped him off, just wanted rid of him.

Not that bad, at least it all looked very sterile.

This however did make me gip:

One of the best bits about my PhD, completely flexible as long as I produce results and turn up for the undergraduates. Often took a weekday off in the summer to go riding, not so much this time of year as it’s the busiest period.

Will depend on the supervisor and type of PhD i.e. Heavily academic to heavily industry based.

Depends on the PhD, try and find out as much as possible about the research and your potential supervisor, their students will likely be very honest! Also, consider if it’s worth it in the industry you’ll likely end up in (It sounds like it would be). I’m in bio-med engineering and I believe now a Master’s would have suited me better.

I can’t wait to finish mine, currently writing up and just beginning to not regret doing it again.

I would say the majority of people in my office are your age, 30 definitely isn’t too old to start a PhD.

No idea where my inherited ae-1 is, need to dig it out.

Fake retro but I really like Nikon’s new DF, shame about the unaffordable price:

Does sound a bit steep, sorted out my friend’s floor for £50ish per sq metre for 36m^2 room. Engineered boards were £30ish per sq metre and labour was around £600 for 3 guys to lay the floor, fix the skirting and a do a couple of other small jobs.

    Used http://www.ukflooringdirect.co.uk/%5B/url%5D for the boards

Mark Kermode, famous 3D hater, would add (and put at top of list)

Funny, I saw it at the imax in 3d last night and thought it was the first film in 3d I’d seen were it didn’t come across as a gimmick. I thought being able to see the curvature of crass comment the earth and having the deep background of space actually added to the feel of the film.

Usually I’d agree with you, I prefer watching a film normally, my mind can generally work out if something is small or far away. However, in this case I think it is worth seeing in 3D. Plus, whatever you think of the oscars, this is going to win at least three.

Do any phone company have a good service? On t-mobile and have to say the coverage is good but the service hasn’t been great when I’ve had to deal with them. Tempted by Orange just for the film offer but their deals are awful.

EE just seems pointless at the moment – here’s a much faster connection but you we’ll charge you more to use less of it.

Would everyone on three recommend it then?

Just noticed that they are going to roll out 4G at no extra cost to customers and for £15/m sim only you get unlimited data and more calls and texts than I would ever use.

It’s only worth it if you’re going to keep the dough going in my opinion, if it’s for a one off I wouldn’t bother.
However, a good alternative is to make a mixture, add additional flour in until it begins to crumb then dry the mix out in the air or at very low oven heat. You can then store this starter for weeks, ideally using it to start a new batch of sourdough or adding it into the mix for flavour if you’re in a rush.

Get Richard Bertinet’s Book – Dough, best book on bread making in my opinion.

Very impressed with race stealth X2 model when I had a go – Tempted to get rid of the XT brakes which are great when they’re working but I’ve had some issues with pads

Thought I’d have a go at making that table, but after seeing the work that goes into them maybe not:

Partner – “Working for a large firm can often entail working long and sometimes unsociable hours, should it be required. What would your response be if I said to you at 6pm on a Friday “John, I’m going to need you to work this weekend””
John – my response would be “What are you doing in my car?”

Brilliant, I hope you gave him the job for answering honestly to an unreasonable request.

Turn on the captions to dreams hands, very funny

My favourite, probably a touch nsfw (or at least someone would ask a few questions):

    Anyway, any photographs yet?

XTR di2 has been discussed even since durac ace di2 was announced but haven’t seen any photos or specs yet. Is it just going to be m98x with a servo?

Another recommendation for IT, one of the great modern novels.

Started to watch the film the other day, could only get 10 minutes in, acting was average and looks very dated now. Would be intrigued to see it as a full length TV series but not sure it’s filmable.

I think as long as you explain what it’s for it’s fine. Last 3 weddings I have been to all had a honeymoon fund. People are renting for longer and getting married later, I’d rather have/give money towards a house or the honeymoon rather than a new toaster or silver plated gravy jug.

Marathon supreme tyres are worth a look too, near slick but surprisingly good on gravel and dirt for that type of tyre. Very hard wearing and not had a puncture in 2 years on them.

No recommendation I’m afraid but I’d be interested to know the benefits of deeper section rims vs lighter weight rims. I’ve read some manufacturer data but would be interesting to see some independent data say over a 100km route with a 1000m climb.

Agree, not as easy to integrate as they made out, expected to be able to rotate and zoom in most software but no such luck.

Not 100% sure what to do with it now, might be going on ebay.

Any chance you opened it on a mobile? May have accidentally swiped it and therefore archived it. Will still be in All mail if so
