Blooming stamp duty is up and down more often than a whore's knickers. It was £175k up to December 31st then dropped back to £125k now up to a whopping £250k. Perfect just in time for me closing on my first flat on Friday, a 1 bed after looking for a 2 and being pricked about by stamp duty changing.

    Brilliant, fantastic, super, wonderful.

You would be looking at 2-3hrs labour to do all 4 disks and pads on a car, through my friendly garrage i got mine all done with a full service for £550 my 53 plate polo which had only done 50K miles. i saw the disks and all of them were totally shagged. You can try shoppping roungd for the parts yourself, brakes4u are pretty competative on price and if you know a good mechanic they normally fits parts that you supply.
I would think you could possibly knock £50 – 100 off that price but i don't know anything about the sensors, this is where the extra cost could be comming in as they may need to be reset etc and most places have a standard diagnostic fee.

    Good luck

Go and see more than one financial advisor, take notes and compare.
I know i would, if you go out to buy a car you would look at more that one even of the same model. the only difference is this is for significantly more money.

Well if you are clearing out the garden then i guess you will have plenty of stuff to have a bonfire, dig arround the offending stump, down as far as you can then heap a bunch of stuff on and go and find the matches. For a stump that size it'll take a few goes but i can think of worse things than having a bunch of mates rund to drink some beer and stand around a fire.

Just do it your self, there will be heaps of online guides i'm sure YouTube will show you, if there is a lock already there most of the hard work is done for you.

I am due to complete on a property in 2 weeks and have been looking at the same thing as you. I plan on changing the locks as it won't cost much for added peice of mind also having a 5 lever dead lock fitted can help reduce your insurance premium. My thought is that it would invalidate my insurance if there is not a lock of that standard fitted and the selling solicitor who showed me the propety didn't know what kind of lock was fitted so it makes sense to cange it.

It will take an hour topps to change both the yale and the mortice lock so hardly any time either.

    Black circles,

Pirelli P Zero Nero 111 each fitted, at a local centre of your choice, I know quite a few people who have these and really like them, price is not to bad for what you get. lots of good reviews in black circles too.

Your plan is spot on, i transported my last frige freezer in the back of my car, when i got it into my flat i let it stand overnight and it was fine, it gives you a great oppertunity to get it good and clean inside while you wait for the coolant to settle. and a good excuse to head to the local pub for a nice cold pint in the evening.

    cheers

Tuna and mixed bean pasta salad is good,

    For 3-4 portions
Use 2 muggs of Penne or Riggatoni pasta (cook it then cool it under cold water)
    1 tin of mixed beans
1 or 2 big tins of tuna
    1 tin of sweetcorn
Mayonnaise to combine it all (you can also use half mayo half creme fresh)
    season to taste.

    Well good

    Cheers

Just fitted a set of thule aero roof bars with mont blank bike carriers to my car yesterday after reading a bunch of good reviews, wen't down the cheep route of 2nd hand parts from fleabay. Fitting instructions would have been handy (I assume they would have come with new parts) but i figured it out in the end roof rack feels alot more secure than my previous bike rack.

    I recommend Alliance and Leicester.

Premier current account will give you a free account, you get £100 for moving, and you also get free european travel insurance. Internet banking seems pretty good.

I am presuming you have checked the battery? if the car has not been run in a while with the damn cold weater we have had over the past few months it could be done. Loads of places will check the battery voltage for free so it may be worth a free check up.

    Hope it helps

I can't say i agree with the charges that HBOS have introduced, they were not going to work out for me so i jumped ship (a fair old bit of hassle) but was glad i did it.

What pi55es me off the most about it all is how banks advertise there accounts, get £5 a month for using this acount! what a bunch of bo!!ocks. No obvious by the way there is a £1 a day charge for using an arranged overdraft or £5* charge per day for an unarranged overdraft.

I mean you have warnings on everything now a days, from bottles of beer telling you not to give it to pregnant women, cigaretts saying they can kill you in clearer writing than the manufacturer name, gambeling sites telling you to be carefull and not bet too much, matches saying don't light near face.

If they are going to change there rules, accounts and the way they opperate after lulling the public into unhealthy practices surely they should be doing more to clearly advertise what they are actually selling.

I have found that simply swapping round the meals that day can help. by that i mean have a normal meal for breakfast then i have my main meal at lunch time, usually a reheat of a meal form earlier in the week or week before that's been frozen then finnish work and hit the gym and have a sandwich or so in the evening. This is not performance enhansing but it gets the same amount of food into you so should prevent the rageing hunger the next day.
