Cheers for the replies guys, I saved some of the similar sized bricks to those that seem to be missing, will mix up some mortar and do my best to replace them.

I’ll post some pics of the lintel tomorrow night to give a better idea what it is like from inside and outside of the chimney breast. I’m a little confused as to how I could shift it. I am presuming if I wanted to get someone in to do it I’d be looking for a builder?

These bricks will not be seen when I am Finnished I just need to know they will be fit for purpose – strong enough to support the chimney and also be able to cope with the heat generated eventually. My plan is to plaster into the chimney so I can have the wood burner part in part out of the chimney brest to give me a little extra space in the living room.

I use my credit card to fund my PayPal account for greater security, to this date i have never incurred fees on my credit card for paying for anything or transferring money to any one through PayPal. My card is through HBOS and if i was to withdraw money from a cash machine i would be charged.

A couple of years back at christmas i helped out in a bike shop and had put together a few of them, they lookes nice little balence bikes.

On 2 of them the parents asked for the brake to be removed which i thought was quite a good idea as it is one less thing to think about in the beginning.

I believe thay can be tuned a little by using slightly different oil weights if you are that way inclined

Suprisingly brake fluid is not normally covered under a cars major service, it may be listed in the service manual for change at a certain age but is normally an addtional cost.

Air con, if it is still blowing cold air then it is probably fine, if you want it to blow colder air then get it serviced/re-gassed.

Mark (smudge from the forum) sells lights for £67 at mtbbatteries.co.uk any time I have used him in the past shipping has been pretty damn quick.

[Edit] his shop is in the uk, if you email him and say it is required by Thursday next week for a present I’m sure he’d do every thing he could do get it to you in time [/edit]

why in that case wouldn’t you just take the original mortgage out for that shorter amount of time and skip all that extra interest that you have paid?

Paying off 100k in 12 months may prove to be a chalange for some!

Try and make sure it is a Pro2 Evo hub (not that there will be many wheels being built with older Pro 2 hubs) as they have a different design and cope with 12mm axles better.
A number of people had problems with 135mm pro2 hubs and 12mm maxle light axles.

I have a pair of 2011 Rock Shox Rev RLT forks that could suit you – Tapered steerer, 150mm travel with spacers to reduce to 130, Air and 15mm bolt through.

If you are interested drop me an email, my address is in my profile.

    Cougar,

I’ve not got a boiler like that so don’t know if it will save you money. The same princple applies so test it out for a week. Note down the meter readings for a standard weeks usage then the useage when having the heating on constantly, 1 week is unlikely to break the bank and you will get an idea of what is going to cost you more/ what is more practical for your lifestyle.

If you are worried a week will be too long cut down the test to a few days.

60F = more or less 16C you are right there. I was more suprised 16C is enough to keep you warm, I was led to believe 19/20C (66/68F)was a more common household temperature.

I am no expert but to the best of my knowledge it depends on your property and how much you heat it up and then how much heat is lost during the time the heating is off.

Basically the principle works on keeping the heat ticking over at temperature x say 18-19 C will only require short boots of the boiler, however if you put it on for a couple of hours in the morning it may only just reach that temp after 2hrs of the boiler on constantly then in the evening the same thing 2 hrs or so of flat out folloed by short burts till it goes off again. Also by heating and cooling all you would do is draw out some of the moisture then move it on to condensate somewhere else when the house cools again.

Do you normally only heat your house to 16 celsius?
My understanding is that you want to heat the house up – structure and all while offering paths for the moisture to escape. Could there be the possibility that your house is simply not getting warm enough to dry it’s self out?

He has used it on other forks to good efect too. I am planning on using it to change the colour of a set of forks for my girlfriends bike.

Both the RAC and AA do vehile inspections, if you are concerned there may be underlying issues get in contact with them and get some quotes for them to inspect the vehicle. I don’t know how much it costs but it could be the best £100 odd pounds you spend.

Could you line it with one of the large water bottles possibly aquired from an office?

Paint the inside to prevent further rusting and butcer the bottle to act as a liner.

In know of a few bottles used like that on allotments.

    2 Definately,

At the end of the day if it is in line with other properties in the area they can hardly complain. I’d be wanting enough to cover mortgage, insurance and bills if you are paying for them plus enough to build a small slush fund to account for any modernisation/upgrades/repairs that may be required in the future. on a 3% profit margin if you had to replace the boiler for exmaple it could be a year or two before the rental price covered the repair.

I’d be inclined to go down the route of phoning them up and telling them you are leaving as you have found a better deal else where.

Three have pretty much the best deals on Iphone contracts just now, so if you were to say you were going to them and you wanted to give Vodaphone one last chance to better there upgrade offer you may be plesently suprised at what you get.

This just worked for me on O2 on friday night.

[edit] pretty much what every one else said as i was busy typing [/edit]

Phil if you are going down the route of penny shares i know at least 20 or 30 people who have wasted thousands of pounds on them. If you are doing it for financial gain it is a big big risk if you are doing it for a bit of fun spend your money on a holiday for you and Mrs Concequence.

There will loads of folk that tell you this is the next big tip but they rarely ever come to anything.

Try your local motor factors, i got a number plate made up by my local place and it was cheaper than halfords as well as being a genuine road legal number plate.

Be aware they may ask you for the V5 document for your car and your driving licence as i think they are supposed to get proof of ownership of the car and an address before re-producing plates.

I’d go down the route of the spacer rather than more -ve air, it will suck the fork down and in my oppion from my RLT’s it seems to make them less responsive.

    http://www.sram.com/sites/default/files/techdocs/2011-revelation-technical-manual.pdf

Sram site has loads of tech info for you. Page 14 of the above link shows you where to put the spacers.

Sram often post youtube vids on servicing stuff so they may have something over there if you do a search.

My 2011 RLT’s from merlin came with spacers

Does it say if it is 20mm?

It could be 15mm. Ether way it will fit in a Pro 2 hub with the correct adapters.

A link to the forks would help.
