Not yet, more presents to come this afternoon so I am still hopefull. Met a guy reding it on my last offshore trip and he was really enjoying it so will be a little disappointed if it doesn’t turn up now.

Not done all of them yet but my favorites so far are magic mushroom and berm baby berm. Electric blue always brings a smile to my face too.

Be more patient and understanding when i am tired.

This is going to be a huge test for me next year with our first born being due at the beginning of March, but i want to be the best Dad i can be so i am gonna have to work on being much less of a drama queen when i am tired and or knackered.

Merry Christmas Phil and all the rest of you STW scally wags, i’ll second the cheers for the laughs and add helpful tips on biking and no biking stuff, especially on planting plumb trees (yes i know i spelled it wrong again and i still cant believe i did it the first time).

If you are not a christmassy fan, seasons greetings and i hope you enjoy the holidays.

The colour would not be my first choice but the bike looks ace. Hope you are going to get it good and dirty over the holidays, the barons look like they should work pretty well in the mud.

Can’t help with the glue however are you certain it does not simply slide back into place and of is held in place by some kind of clip – presuming it is the inner glass section of the door that has come away.

As long as you completely disconnect the cable to the garage and re connect the remaining wires in either the switch or chocolate block you should be ok.

If you have a seperate circuit for the supply to that switch your easiest and safest option will simply to leave it off at the consumer unit. I would still remove the cable to the garage just incase someone turns it on by accident. You could always tape the switch on the consumer unit on the off position so it is harder for someone to flick back on.

Best bet would be isolate the supply to the switch in the cellar at the fuse box and disconnect the spur (wire to the garage) depending on what else is comming off the switch you could wire it back as it is or if the switch is now redundant you could put a blank face plate over it and connect the wires Internal to the switch box with a bit of chocolate block.

When you come to do your extention make the sparky aware of what has been done and if you blanked it off they could pull it all back further and tidy it up.

If you do decide to remove the U-Turn from your forks I’d be very interested in buying the u-turn assembly from you. Been trying to get hold of u-turn bits for a few months now.

Oh arse it’s been a long day with a hangover from yesterdays department lunch piss up. Brain still isn’t working quite right it would seem.

Pollen partner? We have a apple and pear tree in the garden just now will they do?

Just opened it up – bubble wrap then a bag then another bag then a o-crap moment of why are my socks wet, guess the last one must have had a hole in it.

Put a water tight bag over the bottom and have put it in the communal unheated stairwell so it should be fine over night.

When you’ve had enough of it, you can ask on here again on how best to be rid of it

Not a plumb tree not me, in a few years this thing will save me a fortune for fruit to take for lunch. I could happily eat 3-4 a day nom nom nom nom nom.

Arrived bare root so will have a look and see how dry it is.

Have compost and bone meal for when we plant it but will need to buy a much bigger stake and trunk protector than we have so it will be a trip to the shops tomorrow.

I’m more thinking the thing will get blown away I’ve nothing to secure it with. Not that the weather will make it shrivel up or something. 😆

    Why not air U-Turn?

Try contacting LoCo Tuning about upgrades for your current fork.

Could you not just go all old fasioned and take all the computer toys out of the bedroom? Then when he is done his school work he can get on and play xbox or what ever.

Alternatively if that is too much hassle just undo the 8 screws holding the door on and stick his bedroom door up the loft.

That’s the one i was thinking of!

I see you have a monarch plus on there, what tune did you go for and how do you like it? Thinking of that as the next upgrade for my Iron horse.

There is a guy on the forum who has a blue/silver 5 Spot that he has now sprayed a very nice black. I think it he may go under vortex racing?? I’m pretty sure he has revelations on his 5 spot so should be able to give you a good idea of what they will be like on the bike.

I have a Iron horse MkIII similar to the 5 spot and run 2012 RLT revs with a 15mm axle and love them on the bike. If you specifically want 20mm axle and all the other bits and bobs LoCo can custom build some for you and i’m pretty sure they would be a lot less than £800.

All the teromstats mentioned above in this thread should do what you want them to do. Don’t get yourself confused with wireless and WiFi controllers.

WiFi – controlable over the internet.
Wireless – no wires between thermostat/controller and Boiler reciever (genrally RF)

What was wrong with the Mega and the SX trail?

Or is this in addition as he has some spare cash as he is no longer buying another car to drive to France for a week?

Shouldn’t think it’d be a problem. If you have a MOT for the car, the V5 document and insurance it should be fine.

What’d you get to replace the Golf?

Tinas, gonefishin, must also remember to reverse park when you arrive in the morning.

Have heard of stearn warning for all of the above in all of the big oil companies.

If it was me i’d be looking to fix it up in way that retains it’s original use. Insulate and plaster if this doesn’t reduce the width to a point where a car could not get in and door opened. Then you could put a stud partition in to devide the space if you want. Instead of patio doors you could look at bi fold garage doors. Put power to it if it doesn’t already have.

My thought being that down the line the garage could be easily made into any of the following – working gargae, comfortable work shop, studio etc which may not add value but would appeal to more people.

    Congratulations Darcy and family.

    To avoid this
“A little too close to due date?” she said? “Nah, it’ll be fine, but just pack the maternity notes in case…”, I said.

I have just re-scheduled my first offshore trip for next year from mid February to January however the only time in January I can get to go is on the 3rd with a rather predictable 6.30am check in. 🙁

Any reason for them not to be wired properly?
No working reason maybe to make the kitchen look better than it was?

Get on to the landlord to get the lighting fixed.

    Ski,

Think your plan is about spot on.

Screw batons to the wall and floor then a third to support the join of the two bits of board.

You could use the no more nails on the batons to the floor and wall but i’d use just screws for the support baton so that you could remove either the top or side if access is required.

Good luck to them, my girlfrind is 6 months pregnat now and we thought she had pretty bad morning sickness, being sick up to 6 times a day. She said although it was bad she would have never concidered hospital so i feel for Will and Kate.

As above an anouncement pre 12 weeks is scary, although we had a number of people asking due to how ill my girlfriend was we didn’t confirm anything till after 12 weeks. Fortuneately for us the morning sickness went away completly by the 4th month.

Do think the media should show some compassion and leave them to it for now.

Just got back to this, to set the temp to a constant on the Salus it is not just the flick of a switch but it is not difficult either. You scroll through the menu and adjust the 2 or 3 temperatures that go higher down a 2-3 minute job. When i do it i leave all the timings the same so it is easier when i get back.

At the end of the day you pay your money you make your choice.

I took an old unlocked phone and stuck a orange sim card in it an put £10 on it about 2 years ago I use that phone for the 2 for 1 deal and any time i go out on the piss with the boys. Must have made that £10 back a number of times over now and i would doubt that the two kind people that have handed the crappy phone in in the past would necessarily been so forthcoming if it had been my iPhone.
