Sorry, gonna struggle to recommend a head heavy racket, I prefer head light and haven’t looked into the head heavy ones for 5-6 years. I find head light gives me better feel for drop shots etc.

[edit] that comes across as head heavy rackets are crap, it was not ment to. I just don’t get on with them and wouldn’t know a good one from a bad one. [/edit]

Brakes, that one is not a dud, if you are getting into the game it will do you well. It is a reasonable weight without being too fragile. It is also not to heavy that you will need to swing it like a golf club when you want to get the ball to the back of the court.

I just set up a squash club and league at work, for the beginners I bought 2 of these

From sports direct and every one has liked them, one of the better guys broke a string and borrowed one for a match, he was very pleasantly surprised what £30 gets you these days.

OP/ superfli also check out this site for deals on rackets.

For a tapered steerer to work in a 44mm headtube you need to have an external lower cup, if you do the basic maths it can not work any other way.

I’m still trying to work out which song/band it is, tbh.

It is the Ladbrookes co-operative with that popular and well known song A Saab Dreich turn in the road.

Stick grid switch into screw fix search and you will find different face plates, switches and fuse carriers.

What do you want to swap it for?
    What does it control?
Are you removing some aspects of what is wired to it?

I can get down to £27

Whilst buying bearings will work out the cheapest option for getting the headset working be aware that not all zerostack headsets use 36/45 degree angular contact bearings. You may be able to get the spec of the bearing off the current ones.

Not an owner but zerostack headsets are normally 44mm, there is now quite a selection of zerostack, semi intigrated, 44mm, integral headsets on the market.

How much do you want to spend?

    £35 – http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mobile/MobileModels.aspx?ModelID=51070

    £72 – http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mobile/MobileModels.aspx?ModelID=18084

OP do you understand the concept of logistics?

As for UKBikestore, i have had nothing but excellent service from them, great people to speak to on the phone and have always provided accurate info on parts they have provided.

I have some 2012 Rev RLT’s and they are very nice. If you are looking at Merlin I think it is only a few pounds more for the RLT and I would happily pay it again.

That metal sleeve inside the hub will be for supporting the inside face of the bearings. You should be able to get something inside it and push it to one side of the hub shell to give better access to drift the bearings out. It looks similar to how you would service a pro 2 front hub.

FWIW I have had good results from keasae’s bearings but I would also second what others have said and if you buy your bearings by one of the big three, FAG, INA or SKF from a bearing supply shop you will also be fitting good bearings.

What frame are they to go on?

They are essentially the same forks with Rebound, Lockout, Threshold (same type of internals in different chassis ) as zippy suggests the Rev is a 130-150 fork and the Reba is a 100-120 fork.

    Ben,

Do you know if such a thing exists to replace one of these

with something that could take an outer cable and act as a stop.

What i am thinking is something like this

but with a stop on one side and a cable clamp on the other for the rear gear cable.

They have 20% off smith helmets at the moment, and was thinking they would work well with the fuse goggles i have.

I am looking to get a Smith Hustle helmet, can you advise on the real world size please?

My head measures 59cm and this is at the top end for a medium and the bottom end for a large helmet. Unfortunately i can not get to the shop to try them on.

I have a Sony blueray player that is a smart player and can do the streaming stuff.

I don’t know if this is the exact model but it looks alot like THIS and at £60 it seems a pretty good price.

Just donated and thought I would post this info from the Macmillan site.

We couldn’t provide our vital services without you. Donate now and help us to make a real difference to people living with cancer.

Simply text the words: MOBL11 10 to 70070 to make a £10 donation to Macmillan Cancer Support.

Note: You can substitute the ’10’ with any amount up to ’10’ to make a donation of that amount instead.

It’s really simple. The donation will be added to your next phone bill, plus your standard network text charge will be waived. And afterwards, if you go on to complete the Gift Aid form we can claim an additional 25% on your donation.

Probably the latter but i am pretty sure it was peer reviewed as she was invited to speak about it at some big national radiography seminar so i guess there was some meaning to it.

My mum did a study for her degree and found that regular consumption of fizzy pop tied in with her patients who suffered from kidney stones. She also found links between Irn-Bru and harder to brake stones – my oh my how we laughed about it being made of girders.

Don’t know where you are in the country but when I was looking to extend in to the loft space Aberdeen I got an architect to put together some sketches of what I wanted and took them to the planning office and spoke to them.

In hindsight I jumped the gun a little on the architect and if doing it again would do it as follows.

1 – Go and have a chat with the planning department for your area, they will advise if the area you are in or the building is listed. If they are listed it will be much harder to get planning permission.
2 – Go and look round other properties in the same street and see if any one else has done what you want to do. If precedence has been set then it will make gaining planning permission much easier.
3 – You may be able to search the council web site for previous planning applications in your area and see what people have done before. This may help you identify properties that have been converted in the past.
4 – See if you can knock together some drawing of what you want to do your self if the above looks promising and take these to the council and see if you can discuss them with the planning department. The more detail the better.

At this point it should be pretty clear to you if you are likely to be granted permission for the conversion and if you should proceed and get an architect and further professional advice.
